  1. Katie....surgeon did a great job....You look great!!! Well - you did all of the hard work to start with!! Did your doctor do anything with your port?
  2.    ready4prada reacted to a post in a topic: Visible Port Bump After Tummy Tuck?
  3. That is exactly the question that I have.....I have an appointment with the PS at the end of the month. My port is my major question/concern.....I don't want to pay 7k and have a golf ball sticking out on my flat tummy. I guess the people that have had tummy tucks should be able to help with this information....
  4. You look great!!!! I have a question.....Did they have to relocate your port? Can you still feel it (port) ? Can you see it (port)?

    Foam/bubbles = high protien.......
  6. After I reached 6cc's - each time I would lose ten pounds I had to have 1 cc taken out because I was too tight....I know - that is a little backwards but that is how it worked wth me too.
  7. Don't worry you will get back on track. I have only lost 3 pounds in 7 weeks. Of course I had two sugeries (band slipped) and haven't been able to do any exercise except walk. You will feel better when you get back on track .....you know just how to do it!!!
  8. Don't get totally discouraged....I was in my 9th month and my band slipped. I too had a total obstruction. I ate a piece of meat - it wouldn't go down or wouldn't come up. My surgeon did emergency surgery - I thought I might lose my band but he "unhooked" it and left it in place then he went back in about 10 days later and "rehooked" it. Yes I had to have two more surgeries and start all over with liquids, etc. but I still have my band!! I am down 65 pounds and only have about 10-15 pounds to go before I reach my goal.....Wait to Worry!!! whatever it is it can probably be fixed.....it will set you back a bit but you are stong enough to overcome any obstacle that you might have to endure!! Hang tough!
  9. My doctor put 2cc in when he installed the band.
  10. I was told that I could play golf two weeks post op. Run and lift weights at four weeks. Hold off on ab work until six weeks. And at anytime if something hurts - stop doing it.

Hey question - when did your doctor tell you that you could start running again? Mine told me to walk for four weeks then I could run and lift weights. It will be so much fun to show off the "new you" to your old GF's - I am sure they will still recognize you....but their jaw may need to be lifted up off of the floor...LOL
  12. Has your doctor released you for full exercise yet? Mine told me all I could do right now was walk. - "killing me"
  13. Tell whomever to get their facts straight before they open their mouth. A slipped band is a very big deal. When my band slipped there was no way it was "going back into place" because I busted all of the stitches that hold the band in place from throwing up......I am right there with you.....we will "retrain" for that marathon!!!! We will get there!!!!!
  14. I had a slipped band, 8 months post op. I had a stuck episode....wouldn't come up wouldn't go down. Vomited for two days and band slipped, broke all of my stitches that hold the band in place. Doctor took out .5 cc to try and get the food to pass, that didn't work. He took out 2 more cc, that didn't work. Totally unfilled me it still wouldn't pass. Two surgeries in the past two weeks - no food, just liquid and no exercise.....I think no exercise bothers me more than the no food part...LOL. So yes - slipped band means surgery.....
  15. No - but I know where it is...I grew up in Huntington WV..
  16. I know exactly how you feel....I have been banded for 8 months and had a slip on September 9, doctor went in and "unhooked" my band , but left it in place, let my stomach heal, then went back in on September 21, and "rehooked" it - so I have had two surgeries within a couple of weeks. I had worked up to running 5 miles each day I was going to do my first 5k this past weekend....but that didn't happen!!! Doc told me the same thing - I could "walk" this weekend if I feel up to it....not being able to run is killing me!!! So I know how you feel - we are technically starting over!
