  1. I'm really happy I've got good restriction right now. I think this will definately help me. In a way, I'm a little sad I won't enjoy the food as much as I used to in the past, but one day is not worth the misery you feel when you over eat! Good luck to everyone!
  2. I also want to start running (never thought I'd say that). For the past 2 weeks I have been running/jogging on the treadmill. I walk .1 and jog .1 - up to 2.5 miles. I am going to start pushing myself to jog .25 miles next week. My biggest problem is my breathing - I get really winded. Any suggestions?
  3. I have been hitting the gym pretty hard and I think the results are starting to pay off! I'm feeling much better and excited about finally getting the scale moving in the right direction and i can really tell in my clothes. Love the feeling!
  4. I can totally see how you can become addicted to working out. I work out with my husband at his place of employment (they have an awesome facility) and he only wants to go 3x/week. I would go 5-6 times if it were up to me. We do have a treadmill and some DVD workout videos at home, so I think on the days we don't go to the gym, I'm going to push myself to workout at home.
  5. Congratulations on getting you band! I'd listen to your doctor about whether to use cold compress or heating pad. Good luck and hang in there. It gets better every day!
  6. Get your Dad up and walking as much as possible. This will help with the gas pains and he will feel better overall. Hang in there with him! Good girl!
  7. I would agree with going to liquids for a couple of days. This has happened to me in the past and you need to get plenty of fluids until the swelling goes down. Good luck!
  8. I don't know if you can get this done quickly or not, but maybe you can have someone do some alterations on your current suits. It may not take much to make them look nice. Good luck with the interview!
  9. I don't burp anymore, but I do hiccup about 3 times after eating. I think this is my sign to put the fork down!
  10. Congratulations on your progress! Good luck with the tummy tuck!
  11. AWESOME! You have done a fantastic job! Congratulations!!!!!
  12. I have been exercising now for 4 weeks - 3x/week. I am finding that I really enjoy it (never thought I would) and I am pushing myself harder every time I go to the gym. The 1st mile on the elliptical now is much easier. I normally do 3 miles on the elliptical and some strength training. Loving it!
  13. Mine is on the right side just below my ribs. I can feel it all of the time - especially if I lean up against a countertop. It doesn't bother me though.
  14. My daughter had her gallbladder removed about a year after her lapband surgery with no problems. Maybe you should try to find a lapband surgeon on your insurance plan who can do it. I wouldn't go with the one who wants to open you up. Good luck!
  15. Keep up the good work! I see you are from Indiana as well, maybe it's a mid-west thing about losing slow. But, like I said before, I'm okay with that.
  16. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of being banded!!!
  17. I checked my drivers license weight and I am now only 4 lbs heavier than what it says! I think this kind of qualifies as a "non-scale victory". How does everyone else stack up to their drivers license?
  18. My band is always tighter in the mornings. I start with coffee in the morning and then around 9:30 or so I can have a bowl of oatmeal. I've actually gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. Sometimes I just wait till lunch to eat.
  19. I'm looking forward to counting down the pounds now!
  20. I weight myself almost daily, but I don't record it until I have a "for sure" weight loss. I need to see the same number at least 2 days in a row before I believe it!
  21. Finally reached my halp way point today! It's been a slow process, but I am very happy with my results so far. Just wanted to share! Good luck everyone!
