Where is your port ?

It is amazing how many different places surgeons put your port .

Mine is waaay to the right of belly button somewhere between my boob and waist.

Where is yours?

Mine is mid abdomen between the top of my rib cage

Mine is on the right side just below my ribs. I can feel it all of the time - especially if I lean up against a countertop. It doesn't bother me though.

Mine is about 3 inches above and 6 inches to the (my) right of my "origianal" port.

Currently in the trash, I'm assuming. I'm waiting to get a port replacement. It was right above my bellybutton (only like an inch above it).

Wow - what happens that you need a replacement ?

Mine is about three inches below my left boob.

Mine is on the left side of my abdomen about 2 fingerwidths below my large incision.

mine is right in the middle , a couple inches below my bra line.

Caught me unawares and I'm sitting here laughing like a loon.

Mine is 2 inches above the McBurney's point.

Mine is on the right side about 3 or 4 inches from my belly button..

Mine has gone missing for some reason :-(

It was on my left hand side just below my ribcage. I can't seem to find it anymore.

I've asked this question before, but didn't get much of a response. It's good to read all of these, as I have been wondering the same thing. Mine is several inches above my left breast - the front of the shoulder/chest area. My incision is in my underarm area. I've had absolutely no port pain since surgery.

I had a single incision surgery through my bellybutton, and it never closed. After seven months, the surgeon decided to do a "wound exploration surgery

", and found that there was an infection in the port area (which was only about an inch above the incision). He removed the port to let me heal. I'm currently waiting on insurance approval to have port replacement surgery (hoping for next week).
