  1. For me I was stuck after surgery until I added in more calories. Even with eating cream Soups I was only getting around 500 calories a day. I added skim milk to every shake for extra calories and started having soups more often and then I started losing.
  2. That's where I want to be also! I can't wait!!
  3. My first fill will be 9/21. I can't wait!
  4. That is the WORST drug ever but when you really need it it works wonders. It makes me so hungry and MEAN. Within a few days you should get control of your appetite again.
  5. My diet sheet says to start incorporating solid foods on Friday but the doc said I can go ahead now If I'm hungry. I wanted to start slow so when I got home I had some ham salad. No crackers, no bread. I ate a little of it and I still felt hungry but I also felt a sort of pressure in my chest. I thought maybe something was stuck so I stopped. I feel fine now though. Is the pressure normal?
  6. I'm starving today. I'd love some real food.
  7. So far I was only told to start a multivitamin. I'm wondering If I should take a calcium supplement though. I'm only 30 and I did have a Bone Density test but it showed my bones were perfect.
  8. Okay guys I'm seriously STARVING today! I've had mashed up peas, a scrambled egg and my protein shake but I'm dying for something else to eat.
  9. Well I'm starving today!!! It's day 10 post op for me.

Wow girl! Your arms are looking great!
  11. I'll have to read up on this. I've never been a runner but I'd love to be. It's great cardio. My knee problems/pain have always kept me from running but once I start losing weight that should get better also. How does it work?
  12. I've read the same thing. I've read you can't absorb more than 25 grams at a time. I used to take Appearex for my nails. It's Biotin and I remember it being small. It was just more expensive than other brands of biotin.
  13. I can't find those at all where I live at. I can't find the clear fruit flavored Isopure drinks either.
  14. So in the meantime will you be on just liquids or soft foods also?
  15. Some friends of ours just stopped by to visit. I should never have told them I had Lap Band. Her mom had it done and she throws up and gags all the time and can only eat soft foods like mashed potatoes. She's 3 YEARS post op but she always, always gets her band over filled that way she can't eat. Now they just keep telling me how I'm going to be sick all the time and yadda, yadda. I keep trying to explain to them that she's probably sick all the time b/c she's overfilled. She also drinks cokes, uses a straw and fills up on melted ice cream b/c that's the only thing that will go down. They are so discouraging:( They said I should have gotten Gastric Bypass instead- Uh no that's too invasive.
  16. Yep this is how it was explained to me also. I was also given a picture of my band in place on my stomach. You can actually see that they have my liver folded over in order to get to my stomach. If your liver is fatty it will tear and bleed no matter how good your surgeon is b/c it HAS to be moved out of the way.
  17. I have one. I don't use it as a primary form of exercise but it definitely does help burn more calories and it's fun at the same time! We like the Wii Fit, Wii Ski and Boom Blox the best but we're also going to buy Dance Dance Revolution. My kids and I are always playing on the Wii.
  18. Yep it puts to much air in your stomach.
  19. I'm 30 and just had my third child. My friends didn't even start having their babies until 34. I wouldn't worry about it:) With the weight you will lose that will increase your fertility also.
  20. Yeah I know what you mean. It seems we are all on a different kind of plan. As a matter of fact I got one plan from the hospital dietician and a different plan from my surgeon but my surgeon MADE me see the dietician to get the darn diet plan. I had to pay an extra $125 for that. Crazy!
  21. Well I'm not really complaining. I'd much rather be cool or cold than hot. I'm a stay at home mom and dh works 12 hours a day. For the past few years I spend all day lowering the thermostat constantly to make the A/C kick on again. Now maybe my light bill will go down some also.
  22. My gas pressure just went away on Thursday. I've been feeling really great since then!! Also I stalled out after surgery and didn't see the scale moving until I started eating more calories. I started using skim milk in my shakes instead of water b/c I was only getting 500 calories a day. More calories definitely helped.
  23. I have this brand new pair of capris that were tight on me just 2 weeks ago. Today they fit perfectly and comfortably!!!! I'm so excited!!!
