  1. Have you guys noticed a change in your self esteem yet? I'm feeling so MUCH better about myself and I'm no where near my goal weight yet.
  2. Well I'm glad you got that looked at. It didn't sound right to me at all. I hope your better soon!
  3. Personally I think it's fine to have sweets every once in a while in moderation. Just make sure you have your protein in first.
  4. LOL!!! Were they embarrassed when they finally understood what it was?
  5. Yay! I'm right there with you. I need to lose 5 more pounds to be at 199. I can't wait!
  6. I had a baby in March. I was overweight throughout my pregnancy but my OB never scolded me about it. I had a hysterectomy on Thursday and when I went to my pre op appointment on Tuesday I told him oh yeah BTW I just got a Lap Band a few weeks ago. I was sort of nervous to tell him. I wasn't sure what he would think about it. He smiled really big and said that was GREAT!! He said his wife has one also and she's lost over 100 pounds with hers. I was so relieved that he had no issue with it.
  7. Okay about a week after I was banded I tried on my size 18 jeans. They buttoned but they were TIGHT! I tried them on again last night..they buttoned and within an hour they were constantly falling down:) I'm so excited! I've only lost like 5 pounds in between the first time and the second time I tried them on so maybe my stomach was swollen some also? I'm so glad I can wear them again! The bad news is I'm having a hysterectomy today so I probably still won't be able to wear them for a while but hopefully by the time I can wear them again they definitely won't fit anymore and I'll need a smaller size:)
  8. If your arm is swollen I'd call the doc just to be safe.
  9. I have the Zumba tapes but I haven't tried them yet. I'm having a hysterectomy on Thursday so it will probably be a while yet before I can do them.
  10. I was told tortillas and wraps are fine. I can still eat bread though. I'm hoping my first fill will change that.
  11. Mine is about a 1/2 inch below my bottom rib.
  12. Those of you on solids- What are you eating at Breakfast time to get your Protein in? I've never liked eggs and bacon so I've been drinking Protein shakes instead even though my doc said NO liquid calories. What are you guys eating?
  13. Wow I'm glad I read this thread. At least I know what might happen to my band now. I have a 9 year old son with ADHD and a 3 year old daughter with ADHD. I can't even imagine what they will be like as teens. I also have a 5 month old but right now he's sweet and cuddly and is no problem.
  14. I have to say that I agree with this also. I drank lots and lots and lots of Water before any of my weigh ins. I also wore jeans and sneakers rather than capris and sandals. It won't take much to add just 1 BMI point. Good luck
  15. I'd go ahead and call your gyno. 3 years ago I started dieting and lost 40 pounds. My cycle got very irregular and my Gyno said it should have been more regular and not less regular. It lasted 2 weeks out of every month.
  16. Congratulations!! I bet you do look a lot different now:)
  17. Yay! Congratulations to you!
  18. Take Miralax instead. It's tasteless and will blend into whatever you put it in.
  19. I have this pain that comes and goes. It's around my port and it really feels like a gas pain. It will last 2-3 days when it comes on. Why is that and what can I do for it?
  20. I just bought children's generic advil and Tylenol. My surgeon actually recommended liquid Advil over Tylenol.
  21. I'm having a hysterectomy next week and my surgeon's nurse told me that if I have any post op vomiting to immediately let my Ob/Gyn or my surgeon know so that I can get put on meds to stop it. She said they don't want me throwing up at all. Is this just b/c my band is new or what? I mean if you get a stomach virus are you still supposed to take meds instead of throwing up?
  22. Mine came very quickly via UPS. I was very impressed!!
  23. Good luck today! I hope all goes well.
