  1. I would love a Kicken Chicken salad from Logan's right now. That sounds soooo good!
  2. Well I lost weight before on my own and at 175 I didn't need mine anymore. That was about a 55 pound loss for me. I'm looking forward to getting rid of it again. I hate that thing.
  3. Yum! That sounds so good! I'm not allowed to move on until my post op appt next Tuesday.
  4. Woo Hoo! Not only did my insurance approve my surgery they've already paid my hospital bill in full! Such a relief for me!
  5. The majority of my incisions and my port are on the left side. My side is still too sore to lay on:(
  6. I've been burping a lot since I got banded but today is the worst. Constant burping and belching like you would get with indigestion. Is there anything that will help it?
  7. I've been eating a 1/2 cup and then waiting a while and having another 1/2 cup. I found it easier to blend the soup to liquid rather than straining it. It actually tastes better too. You still get all the taste of the soup instead of just the broth.
  8. I'm curious. How many months/or fills did it take you to get restriction after your surgery? My first post op visit is on Tuesday I plan to ask then how much my first fill will be.
  9. You know what? I'm actually liking these liquified soups. I've got Butternut Squash, Vegetable, Cream of Potato and Cheddar Brocolli. They really are yummy and better than just broth.
  10. I slept a lot while on my liquid diet. It will be here before you know it!!
  11. Are you eating a lot of sodium?
  12. I have 4 small incisions and then one that is around 1 inch long. When they put the Dermabond on the big one they did a really sloppy job. One side of it dried up hard and thick but it wasn't attached to my skin. Now it got caught on my nightgown lastnight and it's started peeling back. You can't see my wound but you can see a little clear Fluid like Water that oozes out from under the Dermabond. I'm guessing this is okay huh? I have one incision that they got Dermabond all around the incision but NONE on the actual incision:( I guess they were in a big hurry. There are stitches underneath so it's not long it's going to come open I just don't want it getting infected or anything.
  13. I don't get to move to mashed potatoes until I see my doc again on Tuesday:( I bought more soups today to get me through.
  14. I really wanted to try the Isopure's. I thought it would be something different you know but my GNC doesn't carry them.
  15. I had mine out several years ago before getting banded. I had it out on a Friday and was at a party the following night. It was nothing to me. Hopefully yours will be just as smooth.
  16. You probably still have some sutures. They usually put them inside and the glue on the outside:) I thought the same thing last time I had surgery and then a few weeks later this wormy looking thing started coming out of my stomach. Freaked me out until the doc said they suture inside.
  17. Okay guys I'm so confused! I definitely have to call my bariatric counselor tomorrow. My diet sheet is confusing the heck out of me. It says Week 2- pureed to regular. Full liquids and foods that require no chewing. Examples: oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, Scrambled eggs So does that mean I start those things on Saturday at the START of week 2? Because it says Week 1 is just the first 7 days. It also says eat only 1/2 cup at a time. So I can't have more if I'm still hungry? I'm starving!! I'm actually hoping she will give me the okay to start on Thursday or Friday instead. I'm doing well and it says to advance as long as your not having problems. My other rant is I'm embarrassed to even say this but since surgery Friday I'm burping and tooting constantly! It doesn't smell but it will stop soon right? Or will I be doing this forever??:w00t:
  18. Me too but I was told to wait until the incisions close up. I hate, hate, hate having to shave my legs in the shower:(
  19. I second the heating pad! I was also told to use liquid Motrin. My doc said he won't let me use it all the time but it's great for the inflammation and pain after surgery.
  20. The Bariatric Coordinator gave me my date the same day my insurance company faxed her my approval. It shouldn't take that long. Are there any other bariatric surgeons in your area?
  21. Don't open it! It will make you gag. I've just been swallowing it whole.
  22. I really need to go grocery shopping Friday. But I know it's too soon to carry my 4 month old in his carrier. He only weighs 14 lbs and I can carry him fine but his carrier adds another 15 lbs. I normally wear him in my Ergo carrier while I shop but my belly is just too sore to do that.
  23. I have a blender but it really sucks. I may end up with a Magic Bullet after all:)
