Lady Issues!
No advice, just wanted to say you have my best wishes. I, too, had bleeding problems and fibrous tumor. I had a hysterectomy at 32 and found out later that my husband really had wanted a 3rd child, too. I am with elcee, hurry and have your 3rd and then have the problem taken care of. Good luck, Karen

Midlife Crisis?
I know where you are coming from Cheri. But you see, that is where I was before loosing 100 lbs. I was the typical "grandma". When I cut my hair, they cried! "Grandma's have buns". Well that was over 2 years ago.. They still love me, and I love me more! My baby is 37! I just celebrated my 42 year anniversary and could not be happier! I am with Hopetolose if it fits flaunt it!! My husband is a pusher, that is he likes to see me looking good too! He takes me shopping. He will tell me, "Oh that makes you look frumpy!" or "that looks good!" Sometimes he ikes things too short, tho' Enjoy!!Karen

Need Advice From Banded Vets!!
I am going to try not to be rude! Follow your surgeon's rules. Just because you can eat it, doesn't mean you should eat that stuff. The 1st few weeks, after surgey, are for healing, that is why you have the "diet" that the offfice gives you. You could be causing problems to yourself for later. Try to go back to your liquids or softs. Call you surgeon's office for help. Good luck, and congrats on your "new" life. Karen PS: after healing, we all go through "bandster hell" before getting our 1st fill!

My Nsv So Far :)
Congrats to all your NSV's. I remebr when I was actively loosing, I couldn't figure out why I had trbl reaching the gas peddle in the car. Felt like someone had moved it too far back! I, also, enjoyed the 1st time I did not recognize myself in the overhead mirrors when shopping.

Please Help Me!!!!! I'm Dying Over Here....
I knjow nothing abot erosion, but I had slippage. I would never see only a GI dr and not my surgeon as he does both. If you haven't seen your surgeon for a floroscope to see if you have a slip, do so ASAP. Best wishes to you! Karen.

5'4 Whats Your Goal Weight?
I am, also. 5'4". My intial goal from my surgeon was 150, but I like 140-145. I am size 8-10. Do not try for too lofty a goal, at 1st. You don't want to discourage yourself. Try mini-goals, as you hit them, you will fel good about your weightloss. Good luck to you and all of us. Karen

Psh. Formal Introductions
Dani, I know you are uncomfortable, but for healing purposes you should get up and walk around a bit. Your legs, also, need the circulation to avoid clots. Take care and good luck. Karen.

Those Of You That Have Been Banded A While...
Goal wieght has a lot to do with age too! I would be way to skinny, if I got to 118 of my early 20's. At 145-150 I look and feel great and am in a 8. Any thinner, I look sickly and my face starts drooping. My surgeon's goal for me was 150. I am 63 years old. Karen

6 Mon Diet
I actually lost about 30 lbs. My surgeon's offcie had me on phen, I took 1/2 pill for 6 months. I had no problem getting approved, as I had high blood pressure and other problems. I, also, had much history of dieting when I when to the nutrionist which was included in my report. Good luck, Karen

Covering Up Your Reaction To Being Stuck.
Mine too, and the people I eat with are also banded so will say, "Are you okay?"

Is It Really Bad To Eat Right After A Fill?
It all depends what your surgeon's recommendation are. Mine says clear liquids 48 hr, full liquids 48 hours, then go back to regular meals. I, after 2 years, sometimes, will cheat by day 3. Best of luck, I would say just don't overdo. Karen

Pain On My Left Side Chest
Elcee is right! Take it easy. You are still healing. Don't be tempted by what you should not eat. Good luck.Karen PS: My daughter's friend(who also had the surgery) was so tempted by McD's that she woudl lick th eburger paper after unwrapping the sandwiches for her kids!!!!

6 Month Supervised Diet - Frustrated And Annoyed!
That's pretty weird. My son, who was at 40 bmi when he started, was told to be careful not to loose too much weight, else his insurance wouldn't cover him. Lapband surgeon was happy when he only lost 1-2 lbs a month. Different offices are different. Try to follow your surgeon's office rules. Good luck. Karen

Does Banding Work if you're over 50?
Congrats Califdreamer! You are doing great. Age is a number, and we are all stil young! My father passed away at 96. if I make it there, I have at lest 33 more years to live. I want to look my best. You all might laugh, but I used to worry that if something happened, the EMTs would not be able to lift me to get me on the gurney. I am glad that I am now a normal weight!!!Great going an best wishes to all. Karen

Are ER And Other Specialists Prepared To Handle Lapband Emergencies?
By the way, not to hijack the thread, I made that trip 2 years ago in May. It was beautiful! We took 3 days to drive to Arizona from Lakeland, Fl.(central fl). You should be okay, just take care. Karen
