  1. You are doing great! Congrats to you, your surgeon sounds agressive, that is good. Be careful, don't get your band too tight, remember to ask for a slight unfill if that happens. Best wishes. Karen
  2. I am doing good. I have no trbl but obviously watch everything I put into my mouth. My surgeon tells me I am in the "green zone". I have gained some, but am holding now. I want to loose what I gained but he won't do it with any fill as any tighter, it would not go down, as barium needed water help! So. it is all will power for me now. I am still walking at least 45-60 minutes a day. I am whole lot healthier than when I started, let me tell you. Only one getting winded in my walks, now, is my grand daughter who sometimes ventures on Grandma's walks. Take care, I hope that your results are what you are looking for. Karen
  3. Yeah! I agree with the othrs, but some new undies, now! Congrats, Karen
  4. Yeah! Jachut and Jazzy! I am jealous but old and don't like the pain from surgery. I guess I will live with my "apron". Karen
  5. A slip, usually, will cause problems w=eating and drinking. You might, also, get night GERD, and coughing slime. If you think you have a slip, see your surgeon. But, it doens't sound like a slip. My gallbladder, on the other hand, pain was in the middle of my chest. I did not have pain on the right or left. And didn't want to eat, anything, while I was having an attack. Best wishes, Karen
  6. I would definitely say you are in the "green zone". I would wait for a few weeks or a month to see what happens. 6 lbs in 3 weeks is awesome! You do not want to be too tight. Best wishes whatever you decide! Karen
  7. Congratulations! I just viewed your picture. very prettty, an dyou should be proud! Karen
  8. Woohoo! to you all, you are startting with a band. Keep it up, but be aware of plateau. Don't be upset, the weight will comeoff if you follow the rules. Start walking, if its to soon for other exercise. Best wishes to you all. Karen
  9. Just as drinking with your meas is a learned habit, not drinking is too! You have to remove th ewater, or liquids. When going out, and they ask what you want to drink, say nothing! Best wishes for your "recovery". Karen
  10. Congrats, B-52, you have done a great job and are an inspiration to many on the forums. Enjoy maintanance, it can be a bugger! But, as in it all, you should have no trouble!! Karen
  11. Yes, I was very nervous. "What if this fails me too". I lost 100 lbs, and am in maintenace. My surgeon calls me a success story. I am 63 years old and loving my new life! Best wishes! I think we all, if we admt it to ourselves, were scared/or are scared. Karen
  12. Hi judych' My surgeon went in and adjusted my band surgically. He did not have to replace my existing band. He had orginally taken all fill out which will, at times, let the band readjust itslf. But mine did not, so he had prepared for the worst, which was to replace it But, when he got in the operation, he just had to readjust it. Hope that explains it. Karen
  13. Oh, I remember "gas" well. If you haven't gotten left shoulder pain yet, just wait for that! You are doing fine, it helps to walk, walk and walk some more! Good luck, you are doing fine! Karen

  19. I am sorry for their attitudes. You don't sound like a failure to me! You are probably right in thinking that labor caused your slip. I had aslip, and had a revision done withut replacement. Best wishes to you, and congrats on the birth of your baby. Karen
  20. thanks, I thought it might be good for those people still on the clear liquid diet. I was always trying differnt ways to get protein in, but if it tastes nasty, it would not be a good choice. Thanks.
  21. just saw a commercial for it. It has 9 grams proein, zero fat and comes in 3 flavors. I was thinking it would be great for our cear liquid diets! Karen
  22. Has anyone tried Ensure Clear? It has 9grams protein. Betcha it would be good during your clear liquid diets.
