  1. I will admit that when i was a "thin" person it to looked at fat people with disgust and thought..... how did they let them selves get like that.... I said may times.."i'll never let my self get that fat"..... then one day karma bit me on the ass and swoll it up... I worked with a girl.... "Cindy the Bi**h" that use to say things all the time about "fat" people.... well karma found her too...hehehehe. I use to work for a major shipping company in the Purchasing dept. were i bought everything from pens to 18 wheeler.... one day i got a call from a guy who had just broke he third "big & tall" chair. So i went to my ex-boss to get approval. He called this guy and told him that it would be cheaper to buy him a treadmill than to keep buying him chairs..... i was floored
  2. I LOVE YOUR MOTTO...... i feel the same way. I was a door mat for way too many years and then about 10years into my marriage.... i woke up one day with balls.......lol but mine sit up high on my chest.... I am the person people come to for an honest opinion.... but in my defense, i tell them before hand... are you sure.... cuz you know i don't hold back.
  3. ha... anyone that knows me knows that i would have told he.... oh yeah, well i use to be 223lb and i hate sitting next to stupid people. oh.. and by the way your no skinny person your self. Then i would have called the flight attendant over and said loudly, can i please move... it really bothers me to have to sit next to stupid people who don't have mirrors... just a little background.... i am the person that will tell you you have too many items for the 20 item or less lane...
  4. Your welcome.... One thing i always do is speak my mind... sometimes it's good...and ummm sometimes not so good. I have a few people on here that don't like me because of that reason... but i yam whos i yam... gagagaga
  5. Well .... Good for you. But everywhere else, in the "real world"..., larger people are treated differently. It has been proven over and over again in tv documented programs. I consider my self an attractive person and a very out-going extrovert. But the facts are.... thin people are treat differently from fat people. How do you know for sure that you have never been turned down for a job because of your weight....? Do you really think someones going to come out and tell you..... I would love to hire you, but your too fat..... Hell no, they are going to give some other reason. And as far as people treat you the way you want to be treated.... really. When i was fat, i never woke up and said..... hummm today i want to be treated badly. Let me go out and find some one to do that because I deserve it.
  6. how does one look up another person on My Fitness Pal??? we would have to join back up at the Y to be able to do the Water aerobics. we were there for a while, but my husband wanted a more "hard-core" work out and the Y didn't do it for him. So yesterday: Ate 6 crackers with cream cheese and strawberry pepper jelly with coffee, hand full of bugles, three little packs of sixlets... egg salad with crackers..... and one slice of pizza. could have been a lot better,,,, but could have been worse. Walked for 45 min. Today will be better.
  7. ok, so i do i follow people on this..... look me up.... Bayougirl
  8. This is great.... I will do my very best to post everyday.... Holly i forgot i signed up for that.... never followed thru I'm going look up again now.... Thanks
  9. i am strapping my boobies down and starting today.... any advice to a person that has NEVER ran before......
  10. yes.... i have been on both ends and i can tell you that skinny people do get treated differently than larger people. I, unlike most people here, was not always "large". Until i was in my mid twenties-early thirties.... i was what most would call thin or average. I never weighted over 100lbs except when i was pregnant. My baby boy is 21 today.... after i had him i lost all 35lbs i gained was back to 100lbs in a few months...... Then at about 25 i started gaining and on average i gained about 10lb per year... till i topped out at 223. When i was smaller, i got every job i applied for and people were nicer and more helpful. As the weight piled on, jobs were harder to get and men stopped opening doors, shop workers stopped helping ... etc. Two years later.... i actually had a owner of a spa offer me a job and then tell me that she wont hire "fat" people to work for her. I didn't know weather to be happy or punch her in the face. Men practically knock them self down to open doors and help me.... So to answer the question....... most defiantly..... thin people are treated better.
  11. So today i have decided to get back to what i know works. After not going to the gym for the past 10 weeks after the tummy tuck i have really gotten lazy. To top it off, my plastic surgeon removes all the fill and for 8 weeks i had nothing. Talk about getting knocked off my high-horse. For the past two years i had it in my head that should anything happen to my band that i could do it on my own.... boy was i wrong. My hunger came back with a vengeance. I'm hungry all the time and i can eat ANYTHING... since my TT i have gained back 5lbs.... and i'm not happy about that. Now i have 5cc in my band and i'm still hungry. So this week i'm going back for 5 more. I need help with keeping me on track. Two weeks ago i started back at zumba, but i need more. So today i'm going to strap my boobs down and attempt the c25k. I have NEVER ran before. Anyone interested in helping me keep accountable... we can keep each other accountable. Report back either here or via messages on our day. How we did with food and exercise... I don't know about you all.... but i sure could use the help. Let me know..... Thanks everyone and have a wonderful day.
  12. OMG.... same thing happened to me..... when i read what you and Jac.. posted i started laughing. When i finally removed the garment..... my "man in the boat" was right up front.... lol..... my hubby said..... wow... i like that.. it's looking at me.... he said you no longer have a fat cat....now it's a slim kitty....lol I made 10 weeks Wednesday. Still healing, got a small sore on my left hip... my fault, did too much to fast and one of the inside stitch popped... so because the outside was glued... it's didn't pop open... a pocket developed and Fluid gathered and will... it opened... got antibiotic and cream. All the other healing could not be better.... but the numbness in the stomach is still there, but getting better everyday.
  13. Rate Topic It's Been A While, But I'm Back, And Alive.... Started by 54Shirley, 2 weeks ago
  14. jachut.... girl you are a beast....!!! i'm tired just reading that...lol. There is no way i could have done all that after my TT. I'm glad my boys are grown and i have a daughter in law that is a nurse. She came every morning and evening to give me the lovonox injections. And picked up anything i needed. My husband work 7&7 and he was home the day of my TT, but had to go to work the next day.... So i pretty much recouped alone.... which i kind of enjoyed. After my first week i was able to start driving... So tomorrow will be 10 weeks for me. And i'm doing great except i did too much one day a popped a inside stitch and it created a pocket and i got a sore right on my hip bone. It's healing great now..... the rest is Beautiful.... i love they result so far. Still have some swelling and numbness, but i'm so glad i did it.
  15. kbliss..... that is exactly why my PS removed all my fill..... tomorrow will be 9 weeks since my TT. I just got 5cc put back in last week...
  16. yes... i was aware also. We just have to keep our finger crossed.... and pray to the band Gods for good luck....lol
  17. I've heard great things about this place from a few friends on here: Dr. Jason Balette Surgical Group Of The Woodlands 9200 Pinecroft Dr. Ste 250 The Woodlands TX 77380
  18. I just love reading you too... you both are such inspiration. I like the way you think Jean.... and tammy like we were saying yesterday. If they have you do the "pre-op" diet to help with the fatty liver and you are at your "normal" BMI.... then why would you have to do the diet. I think, do your best to stick to the diet the closer you get to your surgery date and you should be good. and why on Earth can't you drink Veggies..... that is crazy. Ms jean..... good luck with the Sleeve.... please don't leave us for the "other side". We need you here in Bandland. I look forward to my newsletter...
  19. I love Cato..... i know the feeling. i use to be on the "big girl" side..... the other side is like going into a different world... a world of cute and pretty clothes... This weekend i bought size 6 Capri at New York and company... my heart was so full of happiness that i no longer have to go across to The Avenue....anymore. Even better feeling is being able to buy panties at VS and not have to buy "Just my size".....lol You all are doing such a great job.... keep up the great work.
  20. Maybe have your current doctor recommend a new doctor were you may be moving to. But deff. let the insurance know and start looking now for a doctor were you are going to and not wait till you get there. Have the current doctor make a copy of all your files for you to bring when you leave.
  21. Exactly what i said and still say to most people.... it my choice who i tell.
  22. Great Job...... you look amazing.... Going today for my 8 week check...
  23. I guess it would depend on the teen. I know we have some teen on here that have done very well. My thoughts are along the line with Kadeez..... i would think LB would be better. I'm not incline to agree with the "emotional eating" part. I think kids are over weight because of the stuff they eat not why they eat. McDonald's, burger king.... fast foods. I know that's what contributed to my weight gain. Teens these days are very much on the go.... and they eat tons of fast food. I say, if they go thru all the prerequisites and they have extensive education ..... they why not. Why go thru life Fat if they don't have too....
  24. Hey.... i wish my PS had left at least some of my fill in. He removed it all. He said that he had a bad experience with a patient that refused to let him remove the fill..... she couldn't eat are drink and got dehydrated and had to be put in the hospital. Said that the extra swelling caused the band to be tight. I'm having conflicts about filling it again. I really want to, but kind of enjoying the ability to eat "normal" again. Not over-eating by any means.... but i did eat a piece of toast this weekend.....OMG... was it good. I have gained 3lbs..in the 6 weeks i have had no fill... but i don't think that's too bad.
  25. You are not alone..... i would think that at lease 90% of us feel the same way. Pictures... they help sometimes. Are find something to wear that really makes you feel good. I sometimes see myself thin and then i think..... I can't really be this thin..... and maybe i really look bad and people are just being nice.... Hang in there B..... Looking good....!!!
