yeahhhhh good for you...

Insurance verification
My suggestion to you is to start the process yourself. Call your insurance provider and ask what the requirements for WLS if any. This can help get you in the right direction. My old insurance required a 35bmi w/2 comorbidities or a 40bmi. I didn't have any co's so i had to have a 40.... which i was just shy of back then. So before i even went to the seminar, i put on 10lbs. (gained 10 to lose 89... hell yes). I knew i would be approved.... My Dr. arranged all the appts. to heart, lung, phyc., sleep test, NUT... etc. After he got ALL the results back he submitted as one packet WITH a SX date. I was approved in three days. I had already researched the band for months before, but from the day i went to the dr and SX day it was around three months. I got my GYN to submit info on my health and weight gain over the years and i also has my logs from WW to show my dieting attempt.

Revision - 4 Weeks In
You know someone was going to ask.... so i'm asking.... Why did you revise to GB? I org had the band for 8 years, went 3 years without any WLS, was sleeved Aug, 28, 2019. I did great with the band. 5'2" SW 232, got down to 143 and stayed there till my band was removed. then regained about 10lbs per year with no WLS..... So i got back to 173.5..... Today i'm happy to say im at a steady 129. I was a slow loser the first time and still think im a slow loser, but i have to say the sleeve was faster in comparison. Hope you are feeling great. 18lbs in 4 week is just amazing.... keep up the great work.

she is 12 now.... won't wear that stuff anymore. I miss them both... Elizabeth (GD) now lives in San Antonio with my son (military & CRNA student) DIL and Grandson. I would love to have another dog. But until Rona came we traveled a lot and i work 30-40 min from home and she would be in the house from 6am-5pm or later..... and that would not be fair to a dog. I walked heidi at least three times a day.... am, noon (id go home everyday) and night... I miss her a lot.

Just feeling sorry for myself..
Words of encouragement:... TODAY IS A NEW DAY, MAKE BETTER CHOICES. Remember how far you have come. and that you did that, you lost 50lbs. Get your kids and husband involved, have them write little notes and put them in a jar... and every day, pull one out and read it so that everyone can hear. Take your before pictures... This is a "pause" not an end... Your ending is still unwritten....

Wondering WHY I did it!
I call is "wantpower"..... I want to be healthy. I want to be at a healthy weight. I want to be able to enjoy life. I want to play with my grandkids. I want to fit on a plane seat. I want to ride the rides at an amusement park. I want to not have to take all the meds. When i was first banded back in 2009, i felt the same way. I was a slow loser. I said "i only lost"...... hundreds of times. Then some friends said, but chris, have you ever been able to keep them off? Well that was a big NO..... With WLS i was able to keep them off for YEARSSSSS..... Then i lost the band and put back 30lbs. So i had the sleeve. I started at a low weight of 173.5 back August 28, 2020. Today, i'm at 128-129. A few things that help me. I know it's hard to do, but you have to stop comparing yourself to others, even your sister. We are all different. We all gained weight differently and for different reasons. This is your journey and no one else's. Trust in the process and it will happen.... I wrote on my mirror where i started as a reminder of how far i came.... SW: 232lbs (2009) Size: 18-20 pants 2x-3x shirt 44H bra. Today: CW: 129 Size 4 pants, sm-med shirt 32FF bra. Then i write words of encouragement on the mirror and on the fridge.... This week's words for me: TODAY IS A NEW DAY, MAKE GOOD CHOICES. (dry erase markers) I surround myself with positive people. If someone is negative around me, i just walk away... don't need that in my life, don't need that negativity coming into my heart and head. TAKE PICTURES!!!!! if you haven't already... take them. take your measurements also. Then once a month retake your pictures and measurements. You will be amazed. I still don't see a size 4... I see size 10-12. But pictures don't lie.

Regret
@Bastian maybe you should go back and read where all this started. Some of us tried giving her advice and she basically told us to F off. Some of us come here dishing out medical advice, which we should not. We do give our thoughts and suggestions. And when she was questioned on a few things that didn't add up... we were met with animosity. I was not rude nor did i say anything that wasn't the truth. I shut up when she said...... I didn't ask for advice. So she is a non issue to me. We'll hear from her again when she fails and blames the sleeve. Seen it hundreds of time.

Hole up swole up..... you need to unknot your big girl panties and take the advice YOU ASKED FOR.... Maybe YOU need to learn how to structure a sentence so that people understand your complaining better.... You said what you said... Your sounding like an immature whiner..... who's not getting there way and now your stomping and yelling... get up off the floor and grow up.

Regret
how could the test be complete if you threw up the contrast? And if you threw it up... why did the dr say you are ok? I'm just a bit confused. Is anyone else reading the contradictions?

Unsupportive Partner
Life is too damn short to be trying to fix people..... That's what i am... I'm a fixer. I'm the one people/family comes to when they are having problems.... I hate saying NO.... i can't.... just kills me. Guess this is why i stayed married for 26 years.... @AJ Tylo I can send my husband over and give you some great tips on how to be a better partner.... the monogamy thing is on you... hehe
-
Unsupportive Partner
@AliciaBoyles ..... Lets start with the obvious. He is your BF... and sounds like a controlling ****. Your child, is it his? Not that it really makes a difference. Did anyone ever warn you about the high % of people that lose relationships due to WLS? (raises hand, screaming meeeee) I can see so much of what you said in myself. I meet my x in the late 90ies, we have one son together. We were married for 26 years. When we first got together i was 5'2" and about 100lbs. very tiny. After having my son i started putting on weight. He would make comments about me gaining and that i was fat and ugly and that no one would want me if i left him. He was very controlling. He controlled everything... Me, son, money, house.... even the food i was allowed to buy, i didn't even have a CC for our account. He would give it to me, send me to the store and as soon as i walked he i would have to turn it over to him. He is 6'4" so even when he would gain a few, he was still ok. Years went by and my confidence and self-worth went down to nothing.... It was everything to get out of bed and go to work every day. My weight kept going up up up.... my HW 232#. One day i was talking to a co worker and she told me about her WLS (band). I started researching and knew i could get approved. So i mentioned it to him.... He BLEW HIS TOP. Saying i didn't love him anymore and that i was being selfish... oh and i must have another man on the side that i wanted to lose weight for. I didn't start my WL journey because i wanted to get healthy... i wanted to "save my marriage". I wanted him to find me attractive again (sex 1-4 x's a year). In my crazy head if i lost the weight he would love me again like he use too........ NOT. It didn't help at all, in fact, it made it worse. He became even more of an a$$ hole than before. He bacame more controlling... I couldn't even have a cell phone. Well i didn't listen to him and had the Band in 2009. It saved me in so many ways. My weight (at 143) and my mental health. I woke up from this fog that i had been in for 25+ years. I realized that i didn't have to live like that anymore. Even if i were to never meet a man and live the rest of my life alone.... i was ok with that. I divorced him. last Sept. i married the most amazing man EVER. Here is something to think about..... If your Best friend would come to you and tell you the same things that you are going through.... What would you tell her? You need to prepare yourself... lots of people start cheating (both ways). I know tons of women in your situation that found out later that their husband started cheating when they started losing. He is looking for a way out.... he's not happy with the overweight you, now he's not happy with the slimmer you. He basically making you chose him or your health and happiness. There is one problem... HE doesn't have to do your dying for you. God forbid something happened.... Trust in the fact that he would go on and find another woman to control. My ex told me to stop losing weight and at first, i did, then i thought...... F*ck him.. i'm doing this for me. I need to take care of me. He is a grown a$$ man. Now he has no one to cook, clean, work, make his appointments, pick up his RX's, take care of the dog, take care of the yard..... He didn't even know how to turn on the dishwasher..... My life is so amazing now, there no way i could tell everyone without people say..... Man she is full of sh*t... No man does all that. My band had to be removed in 2017, after i was divorced. Over the last 2.5 years i put back 30 and got up to 173.5. I talked to him about a revision.... He said, i think you are absolutely beautiful, but i will support what ever choice you make.... he is my biggest cheerleader (although no one else knows). But if someone comes up to him and says....Chris has lost a lot of weight..... He tells them i know, she looks great. She just changed the way she eats.... BAM!!! husband of the year award. Read and really try and answer the question @Krimsonbutterflies asked.... they are great. don't be like me and wake up 25 years later and think.... WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING.... Two words...... BE HAPPY!!!!

Starting to warm up in the great state of Mississippi... hehe. The shoe i have had and still love them 9&Co. I forget where i got them but you can be sure they were on sale. hehehehehe

How did you know that you were done losing?
I know when i got the band my body stopped losing at 143. I am 5'2" and my SW was 232#. There i stayed for 7+ years. Until i had to get her out 3 years ago in 2017. Over the last few years, i put back 30#. I decided to do a revision and got sleeved 8/28/19. SW 173.5, today 129. My weight loss is slowing and currently only losing about a pound a month. Your body will definitely decide on where it wants to be. But, you have to be doing everything you can to make sure you are doing your part. Continue to portion out your food and exercise. You will benefit greatly from logging in and weighting/portioning what you eat. Exercising in a different way will help also. If you simply cut back your cal to 1000 per day and up your exercise... you will start to lose again.

Im scared of gaining weight through this crisis
what's crazy is the fresh baked breads are still there, but the prepackaged, processed ones are completely gone. Guess people aren't at the point of slicing their on bread yet.

Alcohol a year after bypass
I was never told to not drink alcohol..... I keep it to one or two a night on the weekends. One now has me tipsy.... I drank a Lemond drop Saturday night and I felt it at the last sip. I don't drink beer (don't like it) nor do i drink anything mixed with soda.... (exp: jack and coke) I will drink a glass of wine or a mixer with juice or a margarita. Everything in moderation.....
