  2. VENTINGGGGGG Today was my first day back at work..... These people are already on my last nerve..... Ughhhhhhh As you all know, the hubby tested positive April 30th.... One of his co-worker passed it on... Anyway, I went for the first test on Friday, May 1st.... which came back negative. But i still had to stay home for two weeks.... I went for my second test last Wednesday and it came back negative also. No, we didn't stay away from each other, yes we slept in the same bad, yes we did the "normal" married couple things.... I asked the dr. if we need to stay apart ... Blah blah blah... they both said no, that if i was going to get it, it was too late..... So we were together 24/7 since April 23rd.... Did i wear a mask, NO. Did i go crazy washing my hand a million times a day... NO... No more than normal. (must be the bayou blood) So yes it is possible for only one person in the house to test positive and others not too.... BUT, on a positive note we did, ..... Clean baseboards in the house, hang shelves in the storage, paint the garage, paint the main hall in the house, change all the light switches from regular to the flat and some to smart switches, pressure washed the patio and furniture, found out what was on the other side of the lake (hehe), Cooked new recipes, learned how to use the new expresso machine...... and i managed to lose 2lbs. Yes, I did drink at night for my and hubby's well being.... hehe. End vent......

Not a guy.... but one thing i can say is WLS won't make things better..... The WLS community has a very high divorce rate. I thought my marriage was strong enough to handle it, but i was wrong. He had controlled my life so much that i thought they way i lived was the way most people did. After WLS and i regained my confidence... i started to see things. Anyway, we divorced after 26 years.
  10. Your first step should be to your insurance co. Check to see if they even cover WLS. If they do ask, what are your requirements? Most go by what you weigh currently. After you find out you can move forward. Most start with your GP. I started with my GYN. I see your BMI is 53... "most" insurance require a Min of 35 with two comorbidies or a 40+ with no co's. I was the 40+ with no co's. 5'2" SW: 232. 2009 i had the LB and was the perfect bandmember till 2017 when my band slipped due to a virus... Till then i had zero problems and maintain my WL at 143#. As far as choosing a WLS, this is up to you and your WLSx.... He/she will help you make the best choice. There's a lot more than just bypass or sleeve. Gastric Sleeve, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy - (VSG), Lap Band (yes they still do them), Gastric Bypass -(GB, RNY), Mini gastric bypas (MGB), Duodenal Switch (DS), Stomach Intestinal pylorus sparing (SIPS), Gastric sleeve with plication, Band with plication, Balloon .... and i'm sure some i don't know about. At this time... the VSG is the "sweetheart" of the WLS world right now. There are other things to consider when having WLS. The biggest one (i think) is what do you expect from WLS and what are you prepared to gain and lose from it.... Losses are always just weight. WLS community has a very high divorce rate. You sometimes lose family and friends too. You also have to be prepared for the questions on your health. When you start to lose where people notice, they will ask questions as to if your sick? how are you losing? ... you need to choose if you are going to tell anyone. If you do, don't expect those people to keep it a secret. At first, i only told my (now ex) husband, sons and a few very close friends.... Well that was just the amount for everyone to know... This time, VSG 8 months yesterday, only my now-husband knows. I didn't tell any family, friends or co-workers. I also suggest you go watch some Dr. V youtube videos... he is great and always 100% spot on. He curses but gets the point across. He has so many.....
  11. You guys.... we need to do a zoom.... and watch a show together.... I love them all... Watched a pretty interesting movie yesterday.... Netflix... Fall from Grace. If you and your family want to laugh..... watch Nailed It....
  12. I have never heard of that before..... Botox is a temporary thing... well at least on the face. @Hop_Scotchi read the attachment and still don't get it. I had a tt 8 years ago. With Muscle repair and lipo of the flanks.
  13. Yessss..... (Top Chef, Masterchef, Chopped, Great Baking Show, Buddy vs. Duff, Late Night Eats, food Truck Race, and ALL the old Anthony Bourdain shows...).... If you have nexflix... add Nailed It!!! to your list.... i almost peed my self. My #1 has always been the amazing race.... and i use to watch all the other except SYTYCD.... You can objectify my boobs anytime.... I'll have to PM you the new corset tim bought..... For the past week nearly every day i get some new Lingerie in the mail. Today i had to send back two from Fredericks.... No way my boobs were fitting them. he meant well.... hehe
  14. First start with your insurance.... makes no sense to do anything else if your insurance doesn't cover. So you know your BMI. Most and i say most insurance won't cover WLS.... and the ones that do you have to be in the following: 35+BMI with two comorbidities..... or 40+ with none. A "family history" won't do it. It has to be you. after you find that out, then you can ask if there are dr.'s on the approved list. Some insurance will allow only certain dr.'s. Go on line and do some research about WLS in your area. Ask to attend there support group. Tell them you are considering WLS and want to get all the facts. As far as referral's.... again it depends on your insurance. Everything stims back to your insurance. If yours won't cover, and you still want to get it done... you may need to look into cash pay..... Cash pay most of the time is up to the WLSx.
  15. hey friend.... been missin ya..... I too am a reality show addict..... With that being said: All the Real Houswifes.... , 90 day fiance', Sister wife, of course, 600lbs life..... and yes below deck
