  1. Thanks Lellow - It looks fantastic! I don't think this new site look emails you when there has been replies - So lucky I came to see what had been happening
  2. Lellow - How much did your tattoo cost and how many times did you hafta go there to get that work of art done? (You are now a walking work of art)
  3. I am 42 - And I have to say I have NEVER in my life had a figure like this one I now have - I could wear a bikini (or one of those tankini things that have a line of material down the middle) If I wanted to - Though I need my thighs done first LOL I love this new me! But yes - It depends how much skin you have. I am 14 weeks post op today.
  4. I think it depends what you are looking for out of your TT. I had an Inverted T in August - Right now it is a red line - But the Brachioplasty scars from my last April Op are starting to look real good - And becoming practically invisible (More on one end than the other at this time) I am far far happier with the scar - Than I ever was with all that skin! Lellow has also had a big scar and she covered it with an amazing and beautiful tattoo.... So I guess it depends what you want - skin or scar? Good luck to you :-)
  5. My PS told me - Even though I would be fine to drive at 1wk post op - My Insurance wouldn't have covered me shoudl anything happen - He said at 2weeks I was OK - But my TT did not involve the muscles as previous Ops I have had in the past made that impossible
  6. Nope - No numbness and no tightness now - But - while the scar is still new - the scar can feel a bit like a bit of tight string along it - But I am now at 7mths and everything is fine - The scar is placed well and to show it in pics I hafta kinda rotate my arm so the Camera can even see the scar - LOL - It is along the back or my arm but you cannot see it if you are standing behind me unless my arm is slightly rotated...
  7. To post pics if hosted on a different site you hafta go to advanced and press the little picture button and put the url in - If on this site - I am not sure in your profile I think... I only have one or two before pics of my arms... I had no pain whatsoever with this surgery :-) And I have a lowwwww pain threshold. LOL
  8. He is the Artist known as Dr Jones at a hospital in Kent
  9. I am in the UK - And I was actually 5lb below my target weight when I had the Op :-) I have made friends with my scars and they really are better than the skin was!
  10. I am over 40 - I was 41 when I had my arms and Boobs done and 42 when I had my TT done - I think that over 50 yes you might have less elasticity - But - Everybodys skin is different.... My PS told me to not raise my expectations too far - Then he gave me what I wanted and so much more - My Belly Muscles couldn't be done as a previous Hernia surgery has left me with a BIG mesh in there - But - I had NO pain with either op I have had and I am SO VERY GLAD I did it - I feel like a whole new woman And the Boobs - WOOT - I did that on a whim and I love em! (They were a G cup and are now a D) I'll plonk some pics in for you... Belly Before.... Belly pic taken at 12 weeks and 3 days Post Op (below) Arms... This is Aug 6th - Haven't taken any since then - The scars are fading well now...
  11. I lost over 100lbs (130lbs or so) I have had a breast reduction and arm lift and also a full TT this year - And the scars are wayyy better than the skin a hanging, I feel so much better - More womanly - and I have a ton more confidence without all the excess skin :-)
  12. I was 5lb below target when I had my TT I also did not have muscle tightening because I have a hernia mesh in the way - But I am not unhappy by it as I reckon when I had the mesh they tihtened things up a little bit - Possibly_ But that doesn't bother me much. I had the InvertedT TT and I am very happy with it :-)
  13. Had my Inverted T this august (Not muscles touched tho) No pain - Fannnnntastic - Very happy Good luck
  14. I felt good after my TT also - But then sudden tiredness hit me - Enjoy your relaxation time and take care of you :-)
  15. I had a breast reduction in April - My right nipple is more sensitive than my left but I didn't have that much sensitivity to start with so all woulda been OK for me. They perk up - but not due to cold or anythign - Just more perky than they were before.....
  16. I saw my PS about an hour ago - Apparently he did NOT use that machine - He did all the sewing by Hand...... I guess him being a microsurgeon also mighta helped - Who knows - I am doing well though :-) Thats cool.... Everything healing nicely..
  17. I read that it leaves a neater scar. (Cant remember where as I've been on lots of pages from a google search of the name of the item) I'm not gonna argue over it - It's up to the Doc I guess. I read that a normally sewn Doc can get problems - Every single way can have problems. That is the nature of plastics. I guess if you wouldn't want that item used on you - You would tell your PS. Every surgeon is gonna do things slightly differet I guess, that is the nature of being human. Thus far - I am very happy with my results (I guess If I remember I could ask him when I see him what he did my wound closings with) :-)
  18. I dunno - I only just found out about this machine - But.... From what I have read it gives a better result than hand sewn - I guess I will find that out over the next few months.... Right now my scar is just a line.... Time will tell
  19. I am sure that they do have a kind of machine that does sutures (Not staples) Mine looked horrid when it was first done - Kinda raised and like blanket stitch - I think that is what was used on me - Though I do't really know to be honest... I was so upset when I first saw my scars - But 3 days after him taking the dressings off it already looked more normal. My surgeon is a Microsurgeon - Though my arms had the auto-suture machine (I think was kinda asleep at the time LOL) And on my belly and boobs I have the amazing tiny line of the hand sewing - I reckon it depends on which part of the body they do? I know my first surgery took ages (Arms and boobs) I went down at 9am and wasn't back till like 3-4 or so pm) My belly I went down at 3pm and was back at about 6... My arms were done in April and that scar is still a red line, and my belly was done Aug 12th and that is a finer red line... I guess time will tell how they look in the end... Though part of my arm scars is already fading and looking pretty good :-) I far far farrrrrrrr prefer the red line to the saggy arms I had before :-) I reckon they use this (Took me ages to find this pic again) http://www.jumpintotomorrow.com/?p=837 or http://medgadget.com/archives/2005/04/insorb_resorbab.html http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://blog.jumpintotomorrow.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/insorb-cosmetic-result.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.jumpintotomorrow.com/%3Fp%3D837&usg=__C_uFPz9pGvmnsX4rdQnNERp6H30=&h=263&w=350&sz=41&hl=en&start=5&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=x4lRl2sF6xQXDM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=120&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dinsorb%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26ndsp%3D18%26tbs%3Disch:1 Very interesting - If this is right and from their pics it's virtually gone at 15mths - Thats fab.
  20. I think part of it is the lazy way I stand - LOL But - I also know the mesh holds me out a bit... maybe because of that I am all looking at it and stressing over nothing - I mean.... The excess skin is GONE - I must focus on that bit more :-)
  21. My tummy is NOT board flat - Fromt he side I think I look a bit 'poochy' I was unable to have the bely muscles done as I have had two previous hernia surgeries - the second one using mesh - Which is apparently large and he said if he tried to do the belly muscles it would have left me with a lump along my belly, so he didn't. Although I also still have a bit of swelling so - You never know - In a week or so the poochyness may be gone? Pic from side........ Taken on Sunday just gone...
  22. The vertical incision is the only way to get rid of the skin that is out to the sides - No amount of being in the gym will work off skin.... I was told that after 3 weeks I would be able to walk my daughter to school (Which is not far at all from me) But as I didn't have the muscles done because of the hernia mesh I have inside of me - I had no pain at all and was fine once I was able to stand upright (It's tight at first for about the first week) My before pic..... (Censored bit cos I hold my pics on a different site lol) I took a pic today just now - I am at 6 weeks 3 days - I noticed I still swell up when I have no compression garment on and my belly feels weird - Swelling is supposed to stop at about 6 weeks - But I measured my waist and was about half an inch bigger than normal.... So... I will pop back and see my Doc and ask him about it... Pic of 9am Sunday... At 6 Weeks 3 Days Post op...
  23. I did not have lip in my TT - I am VERY happy with my results :-) 1 month Post-Op =
