Special Bra??
I would have said rpreviously to get a sports bra - as long as it is supportive and nice and tight etc. I had a Breast Reduction and Brachioplasty in April and I had to get a special Bra with sleeves... I hafta say this Bra thing has been great, not too tight nor too loose but very supportive also. As they have given you a pamphlet of surgical bras - It might say in it what is best to get for a Breast Reduction? I was put into Compression on Day2 after surgery (Mainly because the drains from my arms made it impossible to get ito this bra thing with sleeves on Day1) So really you should already have a compression garment I would think. Good luck and I hope you are happy with your new boobs - I am with mine :-)

Breast Lift/Reduction
On April 22ns 2010 I had a Brachioplasty and Breast reduction. I hafta say I had NO pain from either! I went down from a G cup to a C cup. The only ouchy moment was having the drains removed - and that was just ouchy - Definitely not the agony I told myself I would be having..... Good luck on your upcoming breast reduction - I bet you are very happy with your new boobies :smile2:

Breast reduction/ lift ???
I had a breat reduction on 22nd April - I had no pain at all - I am VERY happy with the results - At the same time I had a Brachioplasty - No pain at all - The worst bit of the whole thing was the 2minutes to remove the drains that was a bit ouchy... I am so very very happy I did this! I was a G cup and now I am a B-C cup

He told me something along the lines of this... After the wound is closed and generally in 2-3 weeks time, it is good to start massaging the scar. Use a good, bland moisturizing cream like Doublebase/Diprobase/E45 and work the cream in using small circular movements of the fingertips. Use firm pressure so that the scar blanches. This should be done for about 15 minutes twice a day. I have never heard of scar guard - am off to search it now :-)

Sounds like you are doing great! Did your PS tell you to masage the scars? Mine told me when I see him next Monday (2weeks 4 days post op) I hafta start massaging my scars so they dont heal lumpy or something... I think it is fantastic that you are doing so well :-)

MimIn, a ? about your arm & thigh procedures
I had a Breast Reduction and Brachioplasty on 22nd April. To be honest - Although I had NO pain from it (which surprised me) Had I had my legs done also - To be able to lift yourself up might make things complicated - I stupidly lifted a small bag of potatoes and felt a pulling sensation and had to go back to the Hosp to get checked out - And it was only a small bag! I would say to stick to one end of the body at a time - As eventhough it might save time under the knife - It might end up making you have to re-do some things if anything should happen and it is really easy to over-do things... My Dr also says that to do more than a couple of things would be overdoing it) I wanted a Tummy Tuck - Thighs and Bum done - and he told me that would be too much (he is probably very right) Good luck to those about to have something done :-)

I haven't taken any pics as yet - Probably Thursday when I can get someone here to take the pics LOL I am amazed at no pain - I SAW them yesterday for the first time _ OMG - They are great - The 1.8kg was arms and boobs) I am happier than I have been for so long - They are still a bit swollen (so maybe at a D for now) Kinda hoping they stay as they are cos they are kinda WHOOP WHOOP lolol Next is the belly...... Whih should be in August.... Then on down from there till I am a 'normal' person again. And I hafta to be honest - They say you will have scars - Yes - But I felt sooo much more disfigured by the skin than any scars I might be left with... Just sooooo happy at the moment (MY Mum wants a breast reduction now too LOLOL)

Niki's New tummy, boobies and thighs!
I am home and it is now 3 days after my Boob readuction (I am now a 34C) and Brachioplasty. I go back tomorrow to see the wounds person at hosp. I hafta say - I have had NO pain! The worst bit was when they removed the drain from the right hand boob - that was ouchy - But other than weird feelings like vibrations in my boobs - Everything is fine - I have some swelling in the forearm of my right arm. Everything else is fine.... I have the compression grment on - Havent peeked at arms - all covered up. Boobs look pretty good! I went down from a 34G to a 34C and he said he took off 1.8k of stuff (I dont know if that was boobs and arms or just boobs) I am amazed - I really was expecting agony... :-) I have little boobies! I am so happy!!!

Niki's New tummy, boobies and thighs!
Now I think I am at least a 34E or F (They need an uplift as well lol) I was before Ilost weight a G cup. I think a full B or small C I would be happy with..... I don't want them to go all saggy again.... so don't want them too heavy etc.

I definitely don't wanna be a D so might just ask for a small C CCBCindy - I have seen photos of his work and my only words were ''I'll have a pair of them!'' lol My surgeon is very highly accredited and is one of the top bods in our NHS plastics hospital. (And i'll get it fixed if it's not as good as I wish - Cos it's all paid for and I can't even think about it coming out badly at this millisecond - Too busy worrying about other things LOL) I saw a couple of Doctors and I really felt like I culd talk to this one and that he heard me - so - Time will tell............
