Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Mornign Ladies!!!! I'm getting close to pre-op goal... My scale said 232!!!!!!! 7lbs left Wooo Hooo  Lee and John I hope you all feel better soon. Before you know it I will be on here complaining that I am in pain from the sleeve and you two will tell me to shut up lol! Ok so i think I only got a chance to tell Mo the update on the baby situation. So I will fill you all in. His paternal (fathers mom) grandmother came and picked him up on Wed. after I found out that he had a realy bad ear and throught infection that was lingering from Dec. when his mom last brought him into Kaiser. Since I was taking my baby in for his pre-op apt. to make the final decision on ear tubes, I had my sons pedi. check out the baby too. Turns out he had that infection and spread it to my son. So now that my son has another ear infection he HAS to have tubes. They are scheduled for March 1st. at 8 AM. So I called member services and asked for the exact quoat of my deductable since i had been given 2 different amounts the last time we went through this. And the guy I talked to said $1,445!!!! So I asked him if I have to pay that up front and he said no that I can make admiting bill me and they are not alowed to refuse us health services as long as it is not cosmetic or infertility. So I clarified that I can also do the same with the sleeve operation and he said yes. As long as I give them something from $20 to the full amount then ask them to bill me they will and I can then set up payment plans at 0% intrest since both the tubes and WLS are for the benifit of ones overall health! This is good news since I only have $2,200 to split between both my son's and my surgeries after i had to pay some bills. Well that is the low down LOL! I hope that everyone is doing well. Tamra - i'm excited for your weight loss and wishing you will get a fill. Heather when is your next apointment?

Mo- Cool I will be there to meet you on Wed. (I will text you) Candra- LOl we should go up and say hi to Lee & John :wink2: Tina- Thank you so much for th advise on the baby. I am more convinced now to file for him legaly. It's just overwhelming, especialy since I have been down this road before with anoher realative. You can tell that she did drugs while prego with him. He has stiff mucesels, hypersensitive, frequent emotional outbursts, among other developmental delays. Not only that, but his head is badly mishaped and his toung hangs out of his mouth all the time unless he is sleeping. He also trys to walk but is always on his tip toes so he falls everytime. My grandma told me that at the last Dr. apt for him she was told that it is evident that he gets left in his walker all day long Tuesday AM i should get a call back from my son's pedi. to make an apt. for him so I can have it in writing that he has special needs. Then I'm gona have a sit down with my hubby so we can figure out if we are able to keep him or not. I will say this... it is HARD with 3 babies in daipers and only 2 hands

Hi Ladies and John, It's been a busy 3 days for me so I haven't been able to post just read every now and then. I will start with the good news LOL. My scale for the last 2 mornings said 233.5!!! Down from 235.5  And I got most of my $ for the surgery! Now on to some serious stuff! I have this cousin who has not been in a good place most of her adult life, drugs (mainly meth) jail and other things. Last year she told our aunt that she wanted to be like me and have babies. She said that she also wanted a man to take care of her so she would never have to work (like she ever had LOL). Well she ended up getting prego. She never completed her probation and ended up back in jail while she was prego. She did get out right before her son was born though. She was suppose complete a sherifs program as part of her probation. It turns out that she never did complete the program and landed back in jail for 45-90 days this week. Her son who is 1 years old was left with her mother who is not able to care for him at all. So in turn she called me and asked that I take care of him temporarily since I am the only one who can. Now I have had him for 3 days and have noticed how developementaly delayed he is. He just learned how to crawl a month ago, he doesn't eat solids, has no fine moter skills, and barely bables. From what I have been told she hardly ever gave him a bath so when I do he screams bloddy murder  She also left him in the walker and his playpen for hours. I got his Kaiser number so I called and set up an apointment for a check up and we shall see how that goes. It's been tough with 3 boys in daipers under 4 years of age! I haven't been on my treadmill and my deit has been flighty. I think that this will put me off my track to surgery for a month... I don't think that he should go back to his mom, but I'm not sure I can handle him along with my two boys, my daycare and my surgery. What would you all do if you where in this situation?

Heather- I too have big calves I call them my "man" calves. I have had them as far back as i can remember. I was 150 lbs and still could not wear normal boots!!! Tamra- I love Torid!!!! I will miss that as I shrink Yesterday I was up all day at 240.5, and after the first day of the Kaiser 3 day diet, this AM I am 235! I hope that I can get the next 5 off soon so I can call Fremont Kaiser for my psych apt and send them my quiz. I also hope that they have an apt for me the first of March if I make goal soon. Otherwise I'm gona have to skip my families anual camping trip in may since it takes 6-8 weeks to heal the sleeve. I don't want to be out in the middle of no-where (99 milse from the nearest town) in case of an emergancy.) Both my boys where up early this AM 3:50 AM for my 2 year old and 5:30 for my 3.5 year old  I'm so tierd.... Can't wait till Saturday to meet all of you

Tina I hope it wasn't my cousins baby you got today from Lodi :frown: Although it would do her and the baby some good lol! Carnie was on VHS celeberty boot camp too. She is always trying something new for wieght loss. I feel sorry for her but the most obvious thing is she can't stick to any one program :sifone: So I did day one of the Kaiser diet and I'm saving the icecream for a snack when the boys are in bed :huh2: Here is a pick of my dinner....

Lee- I'm gona get that stuff you recomended too! Tina- Yes it's from Kaiser, and yest back on your "normal" diet for the 4 days after. It says 10 lbs, and can be done for up to 4 weeks. I'm starting it Thursday also. Pam- I'm not sure, but it was handed out at the Antioch WLS support group. The way it works is it's very low-calorie diet. Nicolie- the paper says up to 10lbs.

Ok here is the latest... I called Kaiser, and they will not alow me to buy double coverage insurance So my deductable is going to be $3000. My youngest might not need tubes after all since his speach is good despite a slight hearing loss and he has not had an infection since Sept. So I don't think I will have to pay for that. So I did my taxes faster then I thought I was gona.... The hubby and I uselly split the refund in half for me and him. But I need to ask him if he wouldn't mind me using SOME of his for my $3000 deductable... I will let you all know how that conversation goes... In the meantime I need to kick my weight loss up a notch... this AM I was 236.5 so 11.5 lbs to go. At the Antioch WLS support group they passed out Kaisers 3 day/10lbs diet, any one do it before?
