1 Year Anniversary and I Met my Gaol...with pictures!!
Did you have a problem with skin and are you going to have a tummy tuck or any of the other surgeries?? I weighed 267 when I started and still have about thirty lbs to go and then I am going to get a tuck, I think.. Did you weigh and measure the foods you ate and what calorie amount did you consume daily?? Just would like to get these last few lbs off.

Stay in God's Presence~Win ALL the Battles you face in life!
:rolleyes:Well yes, Staying in God's Presence, that is the answer my friends. He helps us make all the important decisions in life if we will just rely on him and LET him help us. The Word says that if we abide in the presence of God, He will defeat our enemies, and hide us in the day of trouble. God's attention is on us, but we must keep our attention on Him to enjoy the fullness of His presence in our lives. We must invite God to be involved in everything we do, and then remember to praise Him for His goodness. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing praises of the Lord. Psalm 27:6 My lesson from this today has opened my eyes, I know that there is not a battle I can NOT win or you either if we stay in his presence. I struggle with obesity! Even with the bands help, we need God's help everyday to live with this in our lives. People will try to sway you, your decisions, your efforts. There is jelousy to deal with, anger management, and we are impatient, but God is in our favor and in control. Praying for a peaceful day for all.

Fourth Fill already?!
You may not need a fill, I did some skipping on the fills when I felt tight enough. Too full is not fun at all. Let me tell you. I am very tight now and it is hard for me to get in the necessary calories I need to lose weight and my gym membership is up and I have not renewed it yet so I am trying to find other ways to exercise till the first of the year too. I know I won't go as much over the holidays if I join now. Good luck and enjoy your trip to England, sounds exciting. Try some of the foods there or you will regret it. I went to Alaska on a cruise TOO TIGHT and could not eat hardly, I did not lose weight either cause I was not consuming enough calories. You are right on. Feeling this band in our bodies and how it controls us is a learning experience.

Eating Question
After a few fills you will get "tight" or the band will restrict you more in that the opening to your stomach will get smaller and you will have to be careful of what you just eat or chew a little and try to get through that opening to your stomach. So learn now to slow down, and chew to get in the good habits of eating and living with the band. God Bless.

Lab results - I'm perfect - well almost
I feel the same way too. The compliments are nice, but the way I feel, and the meds I have shed, are so worth this journey, God Bless.

Went to bed Hungry!!!
Me too! I ate good, and logged all my foods today, did pretty good, got in around 1,000 calories and about 86 grams of protien. So I am heading in the right direction today. Just have to work it through, great learning experiences. Thanks!!!

First Fill!
Nothing to it! Right? You will notice how much less you will want to eat now, and you ARE on your way.

I am a mess-unfill here I come. :(
I actually had an unfill of a very minute amount of fluid and it helped me so much. I too was barfing or in pain otherwise when I am too tight. I am very tight now! Good in one way, not in another, if you can't keep enough calories down, you can not burn any up and therefore DON'T lose weight at all. About 1,100 calories is needed each day, and drinking them all is no way to live either. We need to "fit" into the world of eating all types of food. I blamed myself at first and felt bad to ask for an unfill, but knew I had to. I sometimes will drink right before bedtime and then feel it rising back up in my esophogus after I lay down. I KNOW I am very tight. I am going to try another two weeks before I call the Dr. to see if I can work past this point. Drink Something Hot before eating meals, it does help to loosen up the band.

Went to bed Hungry!!!
:mad:I went to bed hungry and very dissatisfied. There will be days when nothing agrees with you. Yesterday was my day. I got out in the pouring rain, bought taco shells and came home to fix taco's for dinner. I can usually eat something crunchy like the shell of the taco. Fixed myself one and could not eat it! So I ate the meat filling instead and a little tomato. Waited awhile and drank some soda. Felt good, went to bed, but back up at 3:30 AM it was a huge thunderstorm outside and my stomach was having one inside. I WAS HUNGRY!! When my band gets tight, I sometimes have a cup of hot liquid, like tea or coffee. So I poured myself a cup of hot black coffee and enjoyed that, then I fixed three slices of bacon and two scrambled eggs! A big breakfast is NOT something I usually do. But today I am HUNGRY. I am on the Adkins Diet with the high protein but with some added carbs. Trying to get back into ketosis this week. (fat-burning) It is hard to get going again, but this is the week I AM going to DO IT. I so want these last 25 lbs OFF. I want 10 down by Christmas and the balance off by next March. My Anniversary is the 17th, St. Patricks Day! After this last 25lbs, I will look into the Tummy Tuck! So I have a lot to look forward to! And to work towards as well. This big breakfast should hold me for awhile today, if I can get it all to go down and stay down, if I overeat, I get sick. My tightness is just right, but I tend to keep eating when I am full, old habits die hard!!! Hope you all are acheiving your goals and getting back on track if you are off. Remember to chew, chew, chew, about 30 times for meat, that is the culprit everytime for me! God Bless!:bored:

Hello.... My psychological fight with food, I mostly won.
My weight will fluctuate about three lbs and I am l yr and 3 mos out from the band. Don't get discouraged with the scales, water can cause fluctuation. Sounds like you are making "smart choices with what is in front of you". God Bless you on your journey.

9 Weeks and 4 Days
I have been on here almost daily since July 2009 and I love it for support and the most reliable information, cause you can really find out a lot from those who have HAD this surgery here. The Doctor I used, could put them in very well, but had not experienced having a band, the feelings, the emotions, nothing like what good folks on here will share with you, here you don't get it always sugar-coated, but you get the real information you want, true and honest! That is the only way to understand how to live with the wonderful band. Praying for you and your journey to happiness with the band.
