    Progress

The scales can play tricks on you, watch out for that, make sure to weigh the same way and at the same time of day. You are doing so great, and this trip will boost your spirits. I have about 4 lbs to go and 10 days to get there? Oh well, I did get closer to the goal and my new weight. I will be getting there before Thanksgiving. I am spending the Thanksgiving Holiday with my daughter and her husbands family and my new granddaughter, they can eat, I'll just hold and feed the baby! HA have fun in NOLA, you "Sassy thing"

    I'm a sicky pants

I have not been sick yet with the flu or anything thank God! I do feel so sorry for you. I have been just a little off my eating habits this week, with working on my daughters wedding stuff and I am feeling tired. The office holds lots of germs for all of us and I have started carrying the small things of hand sanitizer around with me, to use this fall and winter. Hoping and praying that you will get to feeling better soon, it is no fun being sick, just don't throw up too much, or maybe not at all, I HATE to be that sick. Get some rest and sleep is good for you.

    Gray pants....

So very true, the health is so important! School is demanding, I have a daughter who teaches, and she loves it, Fall is coming and all the activities that surround it are here, I have some NEW sweaters I can't wait to wear!!

My dress didn't fit, but that's OK!

:eek:Not because I did not lose the weight, but because they made it WRONG! I feel so much better, it was only 5 inches off! I don't think staying in the gym for two weeks would make any difference in the fit. 5 inches is a lot to reduce in a week, then it still would just fit! So off shopping I go tomorrow! Looking for that perfect dress for the wedding. It will be an experience! I plan to have a good day with my daughter. I love her so much! She has a lot to learn in life, but I hope she goes about life with an open mind, there is so much to soak in! Still trying to get that protein in! Going to cook a steak and have dinner with my hubby!

    Shady compliments

My sentiments exactly, it takes the same amount of struggles to lose with the LapBand, you still have to maintain and eat the right things, eat when and often and concentrate on chewing, water, vitamins, exercise. Come On this is work people, the LapBand is our TOOL Not the magic bullet!

I sat on the Couch with TWO other people!!!

The Concert was Awesome, outdoor at Sandestin Links Golf Course! It almost rained Vince out, but Mary Chapin Carpenter was great as an opening number for him. He came on about 9:00 PM and sang for an hour, I love his song Go High Up on that Mountain, and Liza Jane! Got drenched then dry again and rode it out! Had a blast with friends.

I sat on the Couch with TWO other people!!!

:thumbup:Well now. Last year only one other person could sit on the full size couch with me on it too, Comfortably that is! Tonight all my husbands relatives stopped by to see us and I actually scooted over so two people could sit on the couch with me!! 94 lbs does make a difference in the size of the couch. Going to get up early, only 15 days till my daughters wedding! Made about 400 buttermints and dotted them with tiny icing rosebuds and leaves for the wedding. I only ate a couple! They had to be tasted!!!! My granddaughter who is three had way too many! LOL Tomorrow morning I have to finish the hand sewing of the pearls on her dress. She is going to be a beautiful flower girl too. Tomorrow night, going to Destin, Florida with a best friend for a Vince Gill Concert!!! Yayyy! Not my Birthday or hers, just a break for these hard working girls. I have not been to a concert in years. It is at the Beach!! It was nice to fit in with my in-laws who were always so nice to me before to my face, but felt sorry for me being so FAT before, they never told me but I knew it! I hope my husband was proud! He FINALLY told me I look so good to him! This whole year I was fishing for that compliment from him, he matters the most to me, the love and support of my life. He said it two or three times. My head was swelled and my heart too! God Bless you all! Good Night!

Your support and My support .. two different things

Did you discuss HOW they (the Family) could support you with food habits before you had the surgery? If not, then I know you want to blame someone, but is it really fair to blame them??? I understand how frustrating it can be. I usually just get up and go take a shower while my husband has food he likes and knows it will temp me or that I can't have it. I don't resent them for it, I am the one who has the eating disorder and the weight problem. I am the one who made this decision, and I did it for ME and I still do it for ME and no one else. They probably don't care (family) if you did this or not, they will be proud of you eventually so just stick to the plan and go with it, YOU will be happy in the end! Trust me, I am praying for you to heal and feel better in your spirit. and that your family will learn what to do and how to understand where you are right now.

    Update

A fill will help you to start dropping the weight and I know that the first year is the year in which we lose the most weight with the band, but it is a decision you have to make. I KNEW when I had enough and I actually took out some the last time I went in, a .02CC unfill, not that much, but just wanted that Sweet Spot back and now I KNOW when I am full and I can not eat anymore. I use to lose at least 2 lbs per week, and at the end of 13 mos. I am seeing ozs instead of lbs, but it is ok. It is for life for me. Hopefully the acid will stay away, I use to keep Prilosec in business, LOL

    What did I do wrong??

Just curious but did you have a lot of convulsing and vomitting? That could have caused it! I am about 13 months post band and doing ok, I wish I had lost more by now of course like most. I feel like I start over every day with the band. It is a life thing, and I know it is hard to take, but if you lost that much weight with it, it was very successful for you. Thanks for posting this, we are here for you and will encourage you if we can, as you do the same for us. Those who are experiencing even the difficult times and share are helping others who have or may have the same things happen to them.
  12. :biggrin:Big grin today, Wow I am amazed with this thing called a LapBand, now it really is not around your lap, or even around you stomach???At the top of the stomach just below the esophagus!!! But hey who cares??? It IS THERE, doing its job. Sometimes I don't like it~that is when I am stressed and food is not making its way down like I WANT it to! Probably should not eat those foods anyway. But it has worked a change in my life this past year. We are never satisfied are we? I wish this I wish that, I want to change this and that, but you know what? Success is not in the number of lbs you have lost or even in the number of inches you have shed or even the number of sizes you have reduced to~~True Success is being happy with who you are in the skin you are in and being healthy, I am all of these and more. Thank you Lord for showing me the way, sending me the means to pay for this wonderful LapBand Surgery! Life could not be better today! YAYYYYYYY! I pray for all of those just getting to work on having this surgery, just had the surgery or years past this surgery that you are happy and content and know that whatever or wherever you are along this journey, that you be Happy with life!

    I found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

Thanks Winks! It is going to be, will post photos soon too. And Copa~I NEVER imagined I would buy a dress 10 sizes smaller than I wore just a year ago. Yes it could be a little less snug in places and IT WILL BE! When I reach my goal just 29 more lbs, I am going to celebrate with a nice cruise with my husband and wear this gown again! We have an Anniversary coming up soon next March to be exact, and that is my goal to reach my goal by then! Thanks you guys!

So who Didn't watch the Season Premier of "The Biggest Loser"????

Yes I too noticed that the contestant wanna be's were very young and so big. I too thought that the challenges were too streneous for the first trial to get to the ranch. And the humiliation for the ONLY one who did not make it was HUGE! I felt sorry for the girl who could not breathe and passed out, and the man, I thought he had broken his arm when he landed on it like that. Lord Ya'll I DON"T think I could live through that pace of exercise and on that small amount of food they get, I think it would kill me.
  15. :frown:I was so sad for the ones who did not get picked to go to the RANCH! A lot of folks looked like they could use the help. I tried not to feel sorry for anyone there, but I could not help it, I wanted to bleed for them. I am so grateful every time I watch that show for what I have now. I would not want life any other way. I admit I need to be exercising more now, that is a downfall of mine, but I know that the LapBand was a lifesaver for me. When I saw the girl talk about her brother who tried out for The Biggest Loser and he died five days later, that just woke me up. We can not wait! I am so glad that I have shed nearly 100 lbs! I thank God every day that I made this decision. The facts that were quoted tonight about Metro Atlanta, out of all the deaths 1/3rd of them are related to heart attacks associated with obesity. Boston was the next worst town! I guess they don't have the room for much gardening. When I visited Boston last year, I was so tired from walking and I just thought that folks from there would stay slim getting in all that walking everywhere!? Well this is really going to be an interesting season, and it is so motivational. Makes me want to get on track and stay there and exercise more, I am gonna love Tuesday nights for awhile.

    That's the ticket.

Sorry to hear about your ticket!!! UGGGH! I got one not long ago, it was over $100 and that hurt, just think what new clothing or shoes we could buy with that money??? Glad you are feeling better! Shoes do sound cute. Show us!

    Half mark point :d

I actually said that the other day, If I can't lose a lb more, I could be happy where I am at! It is truly amazing!! Congrats on your weight loss.
  19. Thanks for using the photos to show how you are evolving. This is such great motivation. I am about your weight too, just don't even like myself yet in a swimsuit, but you look great!

Throwing up EVERYTHING I have eaten today???

:thumbup:Somedays I don't know what triggers it? I just can't eat well at all, not even drink well without throwing it all back up. I had to pull off the road today to let it out, and I had a friend with me, it was really embarrassing! Things that I normally do not have any trouble at all with are NOT staying down! I mean this one time today a wave of nausea came over me that I swear I was PREGNANT again, and that ain't EVER happening again! LOL Anyway, Back to the Protein Shake tomorrow and the water, then to soft food and we'll see. Why is it I can digest peanuts and popcorn when nothing else will stay down?:cool2:

Getting Excited about The Wedding Dress!

:smile:My dress will be here today or tomorrow hopefully!!! I can't wait to try it on, it is beautiful! I hope that now with the weight loss it will be a wedding I will feel good about how I look! When my son got married I was in too few photos, and that is sad. But I dodged the camera, needless to say that was not fair to my son for his memories later on when I am no longer around. (which will be a long time!!!) If it fits, I will take photos and post! Hope you all have a blessed day!
