thinoneday got a reaction from NtvTxn in Austin, Tx Sleevers!
FaganBerry, wow, didn't realize I hadn't answered. I'm sorry. Maintaning isn't too bad. . .Been up a down within 10 - 15 lbs of my weight. It's not too hard to get it down once you get back in the swing of things, but it's getting into the swing of things which is tough. . .but at least I'm not 360 lbs ! I eat basically anything I want, and thank God for the restriction, it prevents me from overeating. Every now and then I do go overboard, but man do I pay the consequences of that. . . lol . . .Good for me. . .

Stretched or not, all i know is that if i eat really dense Proteins like eggs, tuna, sausages, chicken, etc. . . i have sooooo much restriction. . . for example today i only had the following, 2 poached eggs for Breakfast, 1.5 oz of chedder cheese at about 2:30pm and 1 piece of fish (tail end) for dinner. . .for a snack i had greek yogurt with 1 scoop of Protein Powder. . . i feel like i'll never need to eat ever again I am soooooooooooo full. . .and with that being said and at 14 months out, i think i'm still doing pretty darn good with restriction. . .

thinoneday got a reaction from longlong10 in not losing anymore!
Carol, I just came back from my doctor yesterday and after 7 weeks out have lost 53 lbs! if i had a stall i never knew about it. . . I handle my weight loss a bit differently then most folks here do . . . I DON'T WEIGH MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i only weigh myself at the doctor appts. (threw my scale out the day i came home from surgery) . . because of this method, I don't know what is happening to my weightloss, stalls or not. . . i don't get depressed or upset because i don't know anything. . . i just keep going and do as my doctor has ordered. . . some folks don't have the strenght to keep off the scale, but like any habit, once you kick it, it's gone. . . good luck and don't worry it's not as scary as it sounds. . . it's what you make of it. . .

Dexter, hi there, well welcome to VSG, you really do find out whose in your corner with this surgery, thats for sure. On my Facebook page someone posted a poster which states the following "fri end, boy/girl fri end, week end, notice that these all "end". . . but fam ily remains the same ily "i love you" Hope this bring a smile to your face.

As far as getting out, GO OUT!!! You don't need someone to be there to make you feel good, you can do that all by yourself. Love yourself enough to take yourself out for tea/coffee whatever. Girl, come on, as far as getting that tire fixed, it's not like you have to get down there and change and patch it yourself. Drive to the nearest mechanic that fixes tires and go sit down in the waiting area and have coffee/water/soda whatever while THEY fix your tire for about $10.00. We don't need to depend on men to do something as simple as that now. . . Actually we don't need to depend on men for anything really. . . hahaha good luck and know we are your "cyberfam ily"

Sleeve of Steel! You go girl! I am out 3+years and love myself just as I am. . I met my doctors' goal for me and even surpassed it by 12 LBS. I am a complete and total success. Do I resemble those runway thin magazine models? NOOOOO, do I want to? NOOOOO. . . I, like you, am very proud of me. . . for once in my life I love me! I hold my head up high (not too high, I'd give myself a nosebleed) and am so thankful for having had this surgery. Pre-op I wore a womens size 32 (4X) now I wear a 16/18 (Med/Large), depending on the maker. I can do everything a "normal" person does and no, I do NOT eat 500 calories or even count a stupid calorie anymore. . .I know my limit, I've learned that in this past 3 years. I haven't gained and am maintaining beautifully. . Good luck to all of you out there! It's great to be alive!

Thank you guys! I'm just upset because going onto my 4th year, I just wanted to live like a normal person and not always just watch what I eat. . . guess not. I'm back on the wagon. I've been following the Atkins plan for nearly 1 year. It works well and when I went off and added some carbs which i wasn't supposed to yet, i guess my body retaliated and i did feel badly. Nausea, bloaty, swelling, weight gain. . etc. But I'm back on it now and won't be coming off it. Protein good, carbs bad. . . Water good, soda bad! lol. . . . thanks again, i really feel better knowing that you all understood. . . blessings and pleasant journey (it's a damn long one)

Bryan, well being out 3+ years and being as "normal" as possible, I'll tell you this. I for one NEVER want to go back to how I was, I never want to gulp anything ever again. At 3 years out I have learned Portion Control by eyeballing it. My portions are served on a teacup saucer. A spa lean cuisine is too much at times. I can only eat a 3" subway sandwich and that makes me want to puke. 1/2 - 3/4 Breakfast taco, and when drinking Water, soda, etc I can drink 1/2 glass "normally". . . in the beginning all this is very regretable especially around holiday times. . but take heart that it does get easier and soon it will be old hat to you. After a while you will feel "normal". . . good luck and hopefully this wasn't too harsh for you. . .
