  4. So I called Anthem, got my policy number and was able to give it to my Dr.'s office. The office manager said that she would call Anthem for authorization (?) Now I'm gonna wait for my psych and nutritionist evaluations. She said this is just the beginning and in a few weeks or so I'd have a surgery date. YAY!:smile2: ~*Sabrina
  5. Thanks Everyone for your advice. I am going to call Anthem tomorrow, print out my temporary cards and fax all of my info to my Dr.s office. Ugh...I just wish I could magically be approved and fast! *~Sabrina
  6. because my husband forgot to do a change of address with his company. (Thanks Hubby:eek:) His company had open enrollment in November, I specifically chose an insurance company that I know will cover the band. Our effective date is January 1, 2010...SOOO...I have to call Anthem on Monday and get them to send out our medical cards. I was hoping to get everything submitted on January 5 (my bday) I took the day off to go with my friend to get her fill and I was going to take all of my info to the Dr's office at that time. UGH! Its just SO frustrating because I wanted to get this done with a quickness! Does anyone know if I can get my policy and group number, can the Dr's office use that to verify coverage with my insurance company or do they need the actual card??? Thanks ~*Sabrina:tongue:
  7. I would like to know EXACTLY what steps the Insurance company takes once they receive your packet to get approved or denied?...I mean WHAT DO THEY DO? How many people touch the paperwork we send in? Is it one representative that makes the decision or a panel of people? Someone please tell me how this works? I will be submitting my paperwork packet on January 4, 2009…crossing my fingers for a fast approval and fast sx date. J
  8. I'm in the same boat...SO curious to know, too.
  9. I hate them too! Ugh! But I have to look somewhat presentable at work...I got the Queen size pantyhose...what's after that? I don't think they make KING size, do they? lol.
  10. UGH! I will be happy when I am finally banded and on my way to losing the weight I need to keep these suckers up! Praying for a late January sx date. ~*Sabrina

  14. Okay, So I'm thinking of going with Dr. Feiz at his Beverly Hills office BUT now I'm concerned because it may be a scam. Please tell me more about this...I'm worried. Thanks
  15. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever been approved with Blue Shield of Ca HMO? This is the insurance that I currently have. I have insurance coverage through my husbands company and our open enrollment is in November. I am planning to switch to Anthem Blue Cross PPO, that will give me an effective date of January 2010. I had my seminar on Sept. 12 at Dr. Feiz' office in Beverly Hills. I explained my insurance situation to the office manager, so now its all about waiting. I know that having Anthem Blue Cross PPO, I will have a better chance at being approved because it is a better insurance. I am SO anxious!!! SO, I just wanted to know if anyone has been approved with Blue Shield of Ca HMO?
  16. Hi all! I have my consultation for the Lap Band on Saturday at Dr. Feiz' office in Beverly Hills. I'm SO nervous...I was thinking about the whole thing and I want it SO bad. Its going to be kind of eye opening to actually sit there and basically confront my 'fat'...lol. I've been reading a lot of the threads here and I have to say that everyone is so informative and inspiring. If anyone has any advice or tips for my consultation, as far as what I can expect...please don't hesistate to share :blushing: Thanks Sabrina
