  1. Just got back from the final part of my preop appointments. Yesterday, I met with my surgeon and the nurse. Asked some questions and they answered them, lol I got my prescriptions for the meds I will need for after surgery ...Then I went to register at the hospital...that took forever but I met with a patient coordinator and she explained everything to me in detail. I also had to do an EKG, labs and a chest x-ray. Today, I had to go to a class with the nurse and the dietician. They talked more about the surgery and what to expect. They also talked about the different food phases we will be going through as we are healing. Very informative...I also paid my out of pocket expenses (yikes!) So, I'm all set now...surgery is April 3. IT IS NOW REAL
  2. I have my preop appointment today. I've had some sort of anxiety all day yesterday and all night. I know that I want this but my mind is racing and I'm SO nervous. I am a revision from Realize band to VSG ... and I was no where near as nervous the first time around. I was so cool, calm and collected. For some reason, I'm scared. My surgery is April 3...less than 2 weeks. Anyone else feel like this?
  3. I had lost some weight during the 2 years I had the Realize band...2010 - 2012

These pics (2009)were taken before I had the Realize Band (2010)
  5. From what I understood, my preop is to ask the Dr. any questions re: the surgery and I'm going to be paying my out of pocket expenses. I will also be getting my prescription for lab work and chest exray, then I'll go register at the hospital.
  6. I also have my preop tomorrow. Surgery is April 3. I'm a revision from Realize Band to VSG. I've been having anxiety all week long...I go between excitement and anxiousness...all of these thoughts floating around in my head. lol.
  7. I'm April 3rd It's coming fast! but not fast enough! lol
  8. I'm glad you're doing well
  9. Hi Everyone! I'm Sabrina...scheduled for April 3, 2012. I am 35, 5'5 1/2, and 225lbs. I am going to be revising from Realize Band to VSG. I can't wait!!! Only a few more weeks! Yay! Good Luck to us all

  11. I'm approved for my revision from Realize Band to VSG!!! YAY! Surgery date is April 3 I am beyond excited!!! I want this thing out of me and I want my sleeve...In the year and a half that I've had my band I only lost 40lbs and that was on a good day. I have since regained 25 of that...but I am ready to get on the ball and DO THIS! Yay!!! WHOO WHOO!!! ~*Sabrina
  12. That was Super fast! Good for you!
  13. Good Luck! I hope you hear from them soon
  14. Anybody else have any thoughts or insight?
  15. I posted this on another website but no one answered me :confused5: Anyone approved on the first time for a revision from Realize band (2/11/10) to Sleeve? I just recently had to change insurance from Anthem to Cigna PPO.I tried to get the revision with Anthem in Sept. and Oct. of 2011 but I was denied twice, even though I had pouch dilatation, a minor slip and very minimal weight loss (40 lbs), I was told I was denied because I haven't had my band for 2 years. It will be 2 years next month. The patient coordinator was fighting for me but I didn't get approved. In my mind I kind of gave up. I was unfilled from Sept to Dec. and I have gained closed to 20 pounds...that is half of what I lost with the band in almost two years!!! Frustation!!!! Well, January comes and my husband's company (they always buy the weight loss rider) changes insurance to CIgna PPO. I find out that my original bariatric doctor is not covered at all. So I am referred by Cigna to my new doctor. I'm in the process of jumping though their hoops just to be seen by him, which is fine with me. I've done my research and he has a pretty good track record. The staff in the office is nice and actually listened to what I had to say, which was very important to me because I was very scared about having to start all over. I have an endoscopy scheduled for next Thursday, so hopefully after that I can get the ball rolling.... So what do you think my chances that I can get approved on the first try? Thank You :aureola: Sabrina
  16. I was banded at that facility. It's a nice place, you wouldn't think it was a Surgical Center but it is The staff is very nice and Dr. Feiz IS THEE BEST!!! He is a very knowledgable doctor and your incisions are gonna be very esthetically pleasing Good Luck
  17. Okay, so no dilatation...and I'm still getting small fills every month. Hoping my next fill, which is in a few weeks does the trick
  18. I'm not at my goal yet...and the weight is coming off slower than I'd like. Although I would not change the past year for anything! It's still the best decision I've made for myself. How is everyone else doing???
  19. Dr. Feiz is a great doctor!
  20. I didn't pay anything out of pocket. Everything was covered for me. It may vary depending on what your company is willing to pay when it comes to the weightloss procedures. Dr. Feiz and Dr. Misrah are really good...I forgot to add that my port incision is hidden inside of my belly button, so I only have 3 teeny tiny scars that are barely visible. He is very considerate and esthetically pleasing when he makes his incisions. My brother in law just started the process and hopefully will have a surgery date soon. I hope everything turns out good for you
