Cervical Mucus???
Had LapBand a year ago. Previous to having it I never had a period because of my weight, even on birth control to help regulate it nothing ever happened. I do not have Pcos either. This past year I have lost 100 pounds and still nothing ( I am still considered severely obese according to bmi). I have noticed though that the past 4months I have had alot of cm. No bleeding just clear slimy liquid. No stds and nope not pregnant. Is this a sign a period is coming? Anyone experienced anything like this?

Plateau Busting Diet?
When I'm at a plateau I do the pouch test or 3days of liquids to curb any smacking and sweets. And it helps.

A Yr Later...what Has Changed???
I am almost at my year mark. Yaaay I am down 100lbs and have more energy than ever. I wanted to recap this past yr for everyone wondering. My life IS completely different. I take vitamins everyday. For example before surgery I never worked out, now I work out 4-5 times a week and I mean kicking ass in the gym. It has became very therapeutic for me. Never thought I would be sayin that lol. Not every change is huge there are a few small ones like the fact that I don't burp anymore. Weird huh? I can't even force one out I honestly don't remember ever burping post operation. I still look in the mirror and can't believe I have come so far. My mind still sees my body as xtremly heavy its nt until I see pictures that it sinks in that this is what I look like now. Some food I can not eat at all because I physically can not and others I choose to stay away from. I have not had soda in a year. Only water skim milk and Crystal lite. I do not eat bread at all I am not sure if I can or not but I know its not good for u so I just don't even try. No tuna which was my favorite it just will not go down. Ummmm surgery has changed my life for the better and I can do so much more without restriction. Walk up stairs and not be tired, get on roller coasters, ride airplane with out extensions. And these r just small things. Everyday is a new day and you will mess up I have got stuck many times choosing poor foods and I paid for it dearly but overall I feel great and happy and can't wait til I get to onderland. This is just the beginning of my journey. Good luck to everyone.

Nothing Taste As Good As Healthy Feels!! " Love My Band
A couple of ppl have suggested I do this so here it goes. I have lost 100lbs yaaay in eight months. I honestly was at my wits end wit weightloss and thought I was stuck. Having the lapband was the best decision I ever made for myself. It has not been easy by any means and I work but butt off at the gym daily but it is worth it. For anyone that is scared of the procedure it can be done although the first few days are tough and just plain uncomfortable. Good luck to everyone on ur journey! I know mine has been worth every min pics comin soon...

Undiagnosed Pcos
I haven't been diagnosed with pcos. I have some facial hair not much and darkening around my stomach area. I havent had a period without the help of medicine. I'm 25. I was band 4 months ago and down 60 pounds but still no period. I thought with the weight loss it would come but nope. My doc recently put me on meds to induce a period, hopefully my body will catch on soon. Has anyone had this happen or similar success story.

When will the weight start to come off
@pink I ask myself the same question. I am 2 months post op and have lost 30 pounds. I would not believe it if the scale did not say it. I can not "tell" yet. Everyone one is different. You may start to notice the small things first. Looser fitting clothes, looking smaller in the mirror etc. Before you know it you would have lost some serious weight. Good luck!

Watch your Symptoms!
this happened 2 one of my friends as well and she had to get the band out. It was bad. She was overeating alot and it was basically a slip that went untreated for and eroded her band and stomach.
