  8. Dr. Auroy Pryor is the best in the business. She did my surgery and I truly can say that she did a really good job. I'm so glad that she was did mine. Good luck and if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to share what I've learned. Take care. Mandie
  9. I had mine done with one incision through the belly button. I don't have any visible scars. I think the healing is a lot longer. It took me a while to heal, but my cycle came on the day after surgery so maybe it seemed worst than it reall was. I'm very happy with my results!
  10. I don't know if I have posted on this forum or not, but I will be banded on August 25, 2010 (Wednesday) I am so freaking out! Is there anyone else out there that lives in the Roxboro/Durham NC area? I am seriously needing a buddy to get through all of this! I don't know what I would do without my internet friends and support groups! I wish everyone a speedy recovery and keep the posts coming!
  11. Thanks for the boost! You look great! I'm getting my band on August 25,2010. I hope I have a success story to share when it's all said and done. Take care!
  12. Hello Guys, My name is Mandie, I have posted on other August boards, so I figured, why not post here too. My surgery date is Agust 25,2010. I am going through my week of high protein, low carbs, low fats, low calorie foods. I only have to do one day of liquids the day before my surgery and after surgery, I will be on 3 weeks of liquids. I purchased the Boost High Protein drink (vanilla and chocolate). I think that I am going to do a laxative Sunday morning (August 22nd) just because I am generally a constipated person and the thought of straining after surgery freaks me out. lol! Anyway, I know that's too much information, but it's definitely something that I am concerned about. You Guys, I want a ticker! Can someone please explain to me how to set this up and running??
  13. I am so glad that others have joined in! It was hard finding you guys! I'm still learning this site so if it takes me a while to respond it's because I've lost where this forum is. Is it possible that I can save this in my favorites? Take care guys and please, let's keep in touch.

I'm Approved! :thumbup:Surgery date is August 25, 2010! I am so excited! I start the low carb, low fat, low calorie, high protein diet today. I am doing this a week before the surgery. The day before the surgery, I have to do a strict liquid diet and NO food or drink after 12! That's going to be a long day and rough night! lol! My doctor want to try a fairly new procedure on me where she's making only one incision through the belly button.... Lord! I am so scared to do this! Why try something NEW on ME! Anyway, I told her that I would be willing to try this new procedure. Dr. Pryor helped design this procedure.... I sure hope she knows what she's doing.
  15. I'm Approved! Finally! Surgery date August 25, 2010!
