Hey Im 21...I had my surgury july 17..was in ALOTTT of pain afterwards but eventually it went away...Im exactly 1 month post op! I lost 19 pounds so far and Im hoping to lose 5 more b4 I get my first fill next week

today is sun and the doc office is closed...Im goin 2 a party 2day n I plan on drinking atleast 1 drink...I think it will be ok

I had my surgury July 17th and I feel like I lost my damn mind...One day I thought I could eat a lil more then yesterday and now I dont even kno how much I eat. Sometimes I 4get that the band is inside of me cuz I have no pain and I feel no restriction...I sometimes eat and drink at the same time...Alot of people look at me and tell me that I look great but I feel bad cuz I kno Im not eating right. But I try 2 get up and excersize everyday. I chew alot but now my problem is drinking along with food...I got tired of waiting 30 min and since drinking with food didnt cause any problems I thought I could sneak it in from time 2 time...I kno this behavior has 2 stop and im gonna make sure it does...I jus really want my first fill!!!!

cant wait to get my fill! I cant even control snacking at times :biggrin: cant wait to start classes...I'll be wayy 2 busy 2 think about food

my doc never said I couldnt have it...he even said I could have soda from time 2 time..but because of what I've been reading Im jus gonna stay away from soda period...He asked me if I drink alcohol and I said when I go 2 parties and stuff and he said no prob...but Im gonna call on monday 2 check 2 see if Im allowed 2 have a glass of malibu bay breeze

wait we cant have liquor until 1 YEAR post op??????? Im about to be 1 month post op and I plan on drinking on my man's bday this week...I really hope I'll be allowed 2 atleast drink a glass of something cuz dats all I want..im not a heavy drinker so im not dieing. I only drink when I go 2 parties and clubs but if I have 2 wait 1 year then partyin is gonna really blow...I gave up alcohol on the 4th of july (first day of pre-op) and that was HARD cuz there was nothing but liquor and fireworks.. I can live without drinkin beer but no liquor for 1 year sucks...guess turnin 21 this year meant nothing :biggrin:

I was banded a day after u (july 17) and I feel the same exact way! I can eat anything now cause everything goes down...Sometimes I forget that I even have the lap band inside of me! the other day I ate and drank at the same time cuz I really forgot bout the band...I feel reg again...in the beginning when I was healing I was never hungry but now, 4get about it...I still eat in small portions but I find that Im not satisfied..I do believe that after a few fills everything will be different. I guess we gotta be patient and try 2 follow the rules as best as possible

the surgury actually made me have my period on time! my period use 2 always come late(from a couple of days to a week)...but ever since i got banded on july 17, my first period came on the exact day it was suppost to. Im hoping that happens all da time cuz I hate when its late!!!!

maybe u look liked u were flirting in his eyes...sometimes we flirt n we dont even kno it..if u really love him maybe u should of sat down n talked about his jealously & if he doesnt stop then tell him its over...but jus breaking it off jus cuz hes jealous, doesnt sound too right...If a guy TRULEY loves u, he will get jealous (even for the smallest things) not saying thats healthy, just sayin it does happen....I kno my bf gonna get hella jealous when I lose weight cuz im a pretty big girl n get guys attention all the time..hes jealous right now lol...buttt I sit n talk 2 him all the time I tell him I kno u love me but if u get jealous/mad 4 every little single thing then I cant deal wit it and its gonna b over...so now he knows 2 control himself...good luck 2 u n hopefully ur ex changes, if not, find a new 1

u dont have to have sex but u can always do foreplay n oral sex...after my surgury (july 17) my bf visited me everyday at my house, I didnt have sex for 2 weeks, but at da end of the 2 weeks I made sure he got oral sex lol....I started havin sex with him about 3 weeks post op...You'll know when ur body heals

im glad u went to the ER and got some fluid thru the IV im assuming...hope time goes by quickly

be careful cuz u can dehydrate..I would call the office and speak to the operator cuz even if the office is closed the operator is always available...see wut they can do

I would never wait 3 min to take another bite, bad enough I gotta wait 30 min just to drink! lmao

hey I was banded by Dr. Geiss on July 17!! he's the bestt! dont worry things will speed up...Everything seems slow because of money and time but once you knock down a good 4 appointments off ur list, things will speed up...your looking at about 2-3 months...but thats because doctors make you wait plus they make you come back for more test...but its all worth it...dont give up and if ur fam isnt supportive, you can always turn to this lap band forum for support, good luck!

My doc said that I was healing beautifuly....Im amazed cause I thought my scarrs would look horrible...what did the doc tell u guys about your scarrs?

dont worry u will get thru this stage...its a stage that helps us become stronger and it makes us appreciate any type of food lolol

oh ok lol...yeah ground beef is like hamburger except in tiny bitty pieces

I took a bite of ground beef and said "heaven" lol...it was that good! I missed food! I dont even like mashed potatoes but right now its my fav! Im eating a small, I mean small amount of ground beef and mashed potatoes and it took me 20 min to eat it...I like chewin my foods now..chewing helps me taste the food now...im jus soo happy

everything took me 2 months bc of all those doc visits...my insurance accepted me within 2 weeks

at first I was freaking out while reading this cuz as an African American girl, my hair is short to begin with...but I usually wear weaves or get my hair braided so it doesnt matter anymore...and when I think bout it, its just hair..i rather lose hair while losing weight then 2 be fat with alot of hair lmaoo...I think we all will be fine cause it will grow back

congratz on ur weight loss! I think we all should exspect for ppl 2 get jealous of us when we succeed...not everybody wants 2 see us happy...alot of ppl dont really pay attention to us when were huge...but when were smaller, they notice every little thing...an example would be like I go to a club and 3 guys try to dance with me and ask for my number...but now when im 120lbs lighter, same thing happens at a club and now ppl wanna say "yeahh u lost alot of weight and look good now so guys are hitting on you more often" like what the hell?! I always looked good and I stay getting guys tryna talk to me..Im still the same person just look better! this didnt happen (because Im not small yet) lol but its something I see comming...I can already see that people will have answers as to why things are going to be good for me...and these answers will refer to my new weight..but when I weighed more nobody had answers to the same situations so I think your friends wife is just jealous and is looking for an answer to why her husband is talking to you..before it was because he wanted to be friends with you but now because u lost 160lbs she thinks he likes you I would just not pay her any attention and keep doing what makes you happy
