25lbs down and off ALL blood pressure meds!
Thats awsome congrats! I remember getting off my blood pressure meds, best feeling ever...even better feeling when you go to the doc office and when they check your blood pressure its soooo normal! When I was obese, I use to have to run to the Emergency Room cuz my blood pressure was wayyy too high and I was always sick, felt like I was gonna die. So Im forever blessed when I hear my blood pressure is below normal now

Lol yeah in terms of taste muscle milk taste great but my doc doesn't recommend them bc they are too high in calories and too high in carb...premiere is the only drink that taste good to me from what's nutritionally best for us...those other healthy shakes r just horrible! Yuckkkkk lol

I'm a lil confused, I don't kno whose pic that is tagged under my post...how do I take that off?

I'm Scared
Its normal to be afraid but dont let it scare you. I failed with the lapband but that actually made me stronger and I was determined to not fail with the sleeve... I think u will do fine. The sleeve is a VERY effective tool if used correctly...Follow ur doctors orders and you will succeed...get your protein in and excersize...You will see, trust me! Goodluck!

husband is getting on my DAM nerves!
My mom and sister are notorious for eating my foods! I absolutly hateeeee it when they are eating large portions of rice pasta and other stuff and then here I come along with my tiny plate, all to hear my mom say "ohh let me take a bite" goshhh theres only like 5 bites in front of me!!!!! then they wanna call me "cheap" lol no im not cheap I cant eat what your eating....My dad keeps stealing my protein shakes, my mom and sister snacks on my peanuts all the time...I got so use to it now its whatever. Im actually 8 months post op so at times I eat what they eat

Congrats and I can def relate! It's a wonderful feeling!- DEALING WITH ATTENTION
my boyfriend is super jealous, way before I even had the surgury, now its just worse. He thinks im cheatin or something. When I was big, I've always been friendly and love to laugh and smile, but I dont think he can handle it now that im smaller. I will admit, its partly my fault because I do love attention, but at the same time, Im young and Im a natural show off. If Im going to go out u better believe im goin to rock some nice heels and a nice dress. Few months ago my feet was too wide for nice shoes and my body was too large for those sexy dresses!!!!! ....but now, I get to look how I've always wanted to look I cant let someone take that away from me...If he would just go to parties with me maybe he wouldnt have to worry about whose looking at me...Were on a break right now bc all we do is argue and I cant deal with his insecurities right now...We both have to work on ourselves- To tell, or not to tell?
My opinion is, once u tell one person, the whole world already knows...because everyone always has the ONE person they tell "secrets" to...no one is to be trusted, not even your spouse....Me, I tell everyone...I have nothing to be embarrassed of, cause at the end of the day, I'm goin to reach my goal weight and whoever is against weightloss surgery can watch me shrink! :-) Then they can think twice about their opinions..plus I like to share my story and give others hope, wouldn't make sense to lie cause it wouldn't help the next person Either way it's our bodies and we all have our personal opinions as to whether we want people to know or not...do what makes u feel comfortable n Goodluck on ur journey!- Band or Sleeve?
OMG the band is the WORSEEE! Quick summary, got the band in 2009, lost 60 pounds in ONE YEAR! smh and it was a STRUGGLE!....Gained it all back..got the band revised to the sleeve in June 2012, I am 7 months post op and Im down 80 pounds! No problem and it was a smooth ride..no vomiting and I can eat anything...witht the band, it was impossible for me to eat protein so I ate junk!...My experience, sleeve is the best decision..Do some research of the difference from the band to sleeve and you will see for yourself...goodluck- From 288lbs to 195lbs! 93 pounds Gone *Pic inside*
I def want to model one day I love taking pics lol- From 288lbs to 195lbs! 93 pounds Gone *Pic inside*
lol thanks- From 288lbs to 195lbs! 93 pounds Gone *Pic inside*
no prob and thank you all....Im 5'7 in a half but I look way taller, and I wear heels when I go out so I can look 5'11- From 288lbs to 195lbs! 93 pounds Gone *Pic inside*
Thanks guys- From 288lbs to 195lbs! 93 pounds Gone *Pic inside*
I had the lapband in 2009. Starting weight was 288, lost 60 pounds then gained almost all back. Got the LapBand revised to the Gastric Sleeve in June 2010. Starting weight was 279 now I'm 195! So to sum it up, I'm 7 months post op and I'm down 84 pounds since then, but down 93 pounds overall. Patience is key...Up your protein, and strength training/cardio. I feel sexier now, love shopping and feeling/looking young like I should!...Forever blessed! Good luck to you all!- 19 months done, 200+ pounds down - and a whole lotta smiles up
you look so good! keep up the good work- I pigged out!
One month before my preop diet I went on a 7 day cruise...I remember my boyfriend and I eating so much that by dinner time he was too full to eat. He said he was skipping dinner and I freaked out! I haddd to have dinner!!!! (even though I wasnt even hungry) we faught and I ended up going to the buffet by myself lol...then ofcourse we ate pizza and Cookies later that night, I was just addicted to food...luckily for me I went to the gym on the cruise and tried to eat in small portions at times(therefore I had only gained 4 pounds) when I came back home from the cruise, I needed more food funerals...I ate big macs for no reason, pizza, french fries, oreos....I remember eating the whole carton of chineese food all by myself, and I mean all of it! I literally forced myself to consume it all. I had a bad stomache ache and just remember feeling really depressed as hell. Damn I remember that day like it was yesterday....Anyways long story short I started my liquid diet 1 week early because of my food funeral lol I didnt want my doctor to notice that I gained weight! So I did 3 weeks of liquids...I lost the 4 pounds and some more (prob like 16 pounds or so) Now I am almost 7 months post op! Since the cruise until today, I have lost 80 pounds! I do not think of food, I do not care for food the way I use to...I dont really like eating all that much...I just wanna see my body get sexier...It takes time but within a few months ur mind changes along with ur new body...U have the mentality of a healthy person. All you wanna do is excersize, feel fit and light....You will be amazed TRUST ME - Life after yoyo diets...Permanent Lifestyle and loving it
