Denise: You are doing SOOOOOOOOOOOO great! I have decided that I'm getting a fill on Monday.. My cottage cheese did not hold me at all and I ended up eating lunch at 11:00 a.m. and my stomach is already growling! Time to get my water now that I think of it. On a funny note............ my son and my youngest dss have started eating things like spaghetti and sloppy joes like me (sauce and crackers) it is hillarious that they are forgoing the pasta and buns because they think mine looks better! BTW: crackers are becoming my vise! TGIF!

Kat: You guessed it... marriage license and appointment with the judge on a Wednesday..... that's it... not even my little guy cause he would spill the beans! and no.. DF has made it clear.. HE WANTS the WEDDING!!!!!!! (I already DID the big, Church/White Petticoat Dress wedding back in 1988) He was married under a tree.... in 1990....... The wedding in March is for him and the boys................. we are still talking about it..... we havent' applied for the License yet.

NSV though the slip dress that I had to wear a spanx type garment with 3 weeks ago.. slipped right over my belly and hips this morning........ and good old hose is all that was needed to keep my legs from rubbing. Melissa: Thanks for the thought, but no.. I work in a convent and they DO NOT recognize domestic partners! In other more happy news.............. we are having my son's 4th birthday party tomorrow!!!!!!!! He is so excited. We are going ice skating and he picked out a pirate cake..... Michelle: Funny.. I've been having the same diet thoughts....... mine have been induced by my doctors appointment on Monday. I have to decide if I'm going to get a fill or not........ I think I could be fine that way I am now but I CAN eat more than 1/2 cup......... so I do........ I've been tossing and turning trying to decide what I should do. thanks all........... the problem is the boys the best man the EVERYTHING can NOT be pulled together by next week..... we are definately having the THING in March.. people have already put full deposits down on lodging the hall.. etc... and we DO want a WEDDING...... the problem is economics.... I could add the boys on my insurance for NOTHING because I already have employee plus children premiums... I'm the contact with BCBS so its just as easy as going online and adding 3 names. No one would be the wiser at work....... otherwise DF's new job will be around $450 per month.. for crappy coverage... thats a lot of money to be throwing away.......... I don't know.... we are still discussing it. If we DO it.... NO ONE will know.. my name won't change, I won't wear the band... we will still have the fully blown ceremony, invitations, dress, cake, motorcycle mints (that I bought special candy molds for) the works........... AHHHHHHH if we were made of money it would be one thing be we are not..... hell the Home DEpot card is still maxed out from the sewer disaster.. we are just a small town family with bill overload.... We want to wait... but I don't think we can afford too......... and I've been calling him husband for a long time anyway.

CONGRATS and GOOD LUCK! He's my doc too! Have a list of questions ready for him... if your driving 3 hours YOU DESERVE everything answered!

August 23rd Update! I look back on the all the intro pages.. and I remember............ I WAS THAT PERSON Now at 4 months post op, I am pretty comfortable... I do have restriction, but it has seemed like it loosened up in the last couple days. My next appointment is Monday.. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to ask for a fill. I'm down 45 lbs and am in my old size 16's again! Just a gut sucker undie away from my old Size 14 Levis.... which I'm trying to at least button by Labor Day. People at work are really noticing... but they say.... Hey Trace I see your losing weight again......... (I've went up and down the scale so MANY times before.. I just laugh and say... I'm TRYING or I'm gonna lose this weight ONE MORE TIME AND THATS IT!) Only one co-worker knows I had the band installed, as I just took 2 days off work... Surgery on Thursday back to my desk job on Monday. This summer I've went on many vacations and buffets for our family are a way of life........ I'm TRYING to learn how to deal with only eating a small amount of food from them.... I just look around at all the skinny people there and realize that they eat a bit and push the rest away... and this is what I'm trying to train myself to do.. THINK LIKE A SKINNY PERSON........... To all those reading this thread and just getting started.......... GOOD LUCK! I LOVE MY BAND!

Your welcome! Before banding I spent lots of time looking at scars and watching the surgery via the web........ I KNOW I"m weird Now I watch a lot of TLC and DIS channel shows on plastic surgery

Thats horrible........ I'm full............. the glutton that I am had tuna and crackers for lunch.... I do not seem to have a problem with crackers......... hmmmmmmm maybe I WILL go ahead and get a fill on Monday. DF and I are talking about going to the courthouse and getting hitched in secret so that I can add him and the boys to my insurance now and then have the family ceremony in March... (since he is making a job change) What are everyones thoughts on keeping this a secret from the family?

New Years Eve is their BIG annual "party" night. They spend all night drinking and praying for all the sisters that have passed before them... it is an all night event........ as one sister told me... she planned to drink a little and pray a little and drink a little more. My bud that is director of housekeeping says that cleaning up after new years takes her gals ALL DAY! Don't get me wrong... there are some very GOOD sisters here... BUT there are a multitude of MEAN OLD KNUCKLECRACKERS... ones that will tell you with no hesitation that you are fat and that gluttony is a sin.
