  1. Congrats Dave!!! :biggrin:What an absolutely wonderful NSV! Nothing better than good health! :wink2:
  2. lol...I agree! I had Brooke's bday party this weekend, went other than the fact no one showed up. Literally out of 30 kids invited not one showed up. She waited outside for about 1/2 hour waiting for her best friend to come. Brooke just went to her party 2 weeks ago! It broke my heart. We were able to make it into a nice day for her. BUT it hurt her so bad. What can you do? I want to slap the shit out of some of the parents. HOW RUDE not to even show up.... Faith got bit by 8 ticks, we found them in her hair so I am freaked out, waiting for the Dr to call me back...grrr... I am nervous as hell, how are you doing Steph??
  3. I did it as well, exercise is what makes the difference! I lost 160 in 15 months, so 100 in a year if you work hard is VERY doable.
  4. I so love NKOTB, however they should dtay in my adolescent mind, and try to be another act that attempts a restart and dies....lol... I have seen them 20+times, and met them all. I was a huge blockhead.
  5. I guess that depends oin what you call success too...lol.... In the eye of the beholder! lol...
  6. The PCP I dropped like a hot potatoe. She pushed me to get the bypass and was unrelenting. My surgeon however, did back down, and did my band. He told me a few weeks ago he was the biggest band opponent, but I have made him a believer! :huh2:
  7. Congrats to you! Keep up the great work!!
  8. Really old member,Telly But I miss Faithmd and foodstampchamp..... come back!
  9. I agree unless you are small, don't get a cheap one, it will hurt! Spend the exra money and know you will feel good running!
  10. Congratulations Deb! Good luck on your new journey! Sorry it took so long! It will be worth the weight!
  11. I didn't choose Sparrow because of the long pre op requirements. I didn't want to have to wait that long and do their pre op program. My insurance didn't require it, but they do. I was able to get into Hurley very fast. I went to their meeting and they weren't right for me. I have a friend who used them and was happy, but she had to pay for all of the pre op herself.
  12. Turler you are more than welcome! I got hooked up with the photographers on myspace and by word of mouth!
  13. Ok, here is a crappy bathroom pic for you loosing....lol.... It is hard to tell, but that diamond is it!
  14. My Dr was band opposed. My PCP refused to ok me for the band. Look at them now....
  15. Hi! Welcome to LBT. I am from Jackson as well. I am in Lansing everyday, I am an MSU student. Go Green! Anyways, I was banded at Hurley Bariatrics in Flint. I love them! I have lost 160+ pounds, going for plastics at U of M in a few days. I didn't know Hillsdale did fills....wow! I don't get fills anymore though....
  16. Thanks Bratz. It took me about 15 months. I hit goal before xmas but didn't tell anyone until after January, I didn't believe it...lol... It got hard the last 30 pounds, they sucked big time. I am still very tight in the morning. I don't eat anything until usually after 10 am, and by then I am starving because I get up at 4 am. I work out in the am at that time. I think we all have our own times when we are tight, I think you have to learn to live with your band and get along sometimes. lol...
  17. lol...that is why I wear sissy pants. You know the frilly looking underwear? lol...
  18. Is it bad to admit my hyper color shirt is in the closet???
  19. I still listen to GNR too...lol.... I have Sirius Satilite radio, the channel I listen to 24/7 is the 80's channel..... BUT Rave, man those were the days. I totally crimped my hair, like all the time. FOR SURE! lol.....
  20. Ya, unless you KNOW her, you don't know she's had surgery. I think she is about 7+ or so out. She had it done in France before it was really available here! Pin ups rock. I am working on a website with a designer now. I have a few photographers who want to book me. It is fun! I get paid to be cute, love it!
  21. I agree, FYI I am wearing one today at school and gotten many compliments...lol....
  22. I own it, I love it... I watch Sweet Sixteen, Breakfast Club, For Keeps, and Chariots of Fire on a monthly basis. That is what I do when I need to relax! I LOVE Molly Ringwald and Allie:tt2: Sheedy!
  23. Brandi---we have all been there, scared but happy. Silly isn't it? I think it is better to look before you leap. I guess my question is, are either of you dating anyone else? If not, then hell ya it is a relationship. Maybe he doesn't like labels? If non labeling comforts him then hey! I am happy for you, we all know you put yourself out there! :cursing: Steph--I am getting SOOOOO SCARED....I need a valium for the day of surgery for sure....ugh.... I am in finals this week...I am going nuts....please help me......
  24. Renedhope Thank you! I am trying to get over the complete and utter weirdness of seeing myself up there. It really is weird...lol.. NO problem on support! I am happy to help out any way I can. I have been supported by Ravenna Black, who is a pin up model and a bandster as well! I am a pretty up front person (As you may have seen, tee hee) I will always tell everyone how it is, whether they want to hear it or not. Sometimes that is what we need, and I appreciate everyone that has done it for me!
