  1. I actually had so much gas pain tht I went and got a chair massage and it made a world of difference. They concentrated on my shoulders, where all the gas had risen to, and back and neck, and I felt alot better.
  2. the day after my surgery, I rode with my ex husband to take my kids to camp. I was a little sore, but did fine. Just don't take the heavy duty pain meds.
  3. where do you buy the little syrups?
  4. where did you get the whey protein bullets? I went to GNC and they had protein bullets that were collagen protein, not whey?
  5. can you email the "plateau busters" to me too? elvisfan1219@yahoo.com
  6. But how do they taste? I was going to stop and get some too.
  7. I am going in tomorrow. I'm getting nervous too!!!
  8. Hi, just wanted an update on how your surgery went. I am getting banded on the 13th and am also having doubts, fears, etc. I think that is normal. And, even if this is a "glorified diet", at least it will be a tool to be successful that I never had before. Karen
  9. I know that you told me you went through Sparrow. I am getting banded on June 13. I'd love to have you as my mentor, since we are both from Lansing. I am a 49-year old woman, single mother of two. Tell me more about you? Perhaps we will see each other at the Sparrow support groups. Do you go? How do we email each other outside of this forum?
  10. I am having my surgery on June 13. I would love a mentor/buddy- someone who has had the surgery, perhaps 6 months to a year ago, who can help me through what is to come by sharing their experiences. I prefer a female, since our issues may match better. I am 49 years old, so an older female, near my age, would be best.
  11. I had a headache the first 3 days, and had to take my migraine medicine. Then, the headaches disappeared and I have actually felt better and had more energy. I've been on Optifast now for 3 weeks. it does get better.
  12. I know, my surgery is scheduled for June 13 (friday the 13th), and I am really nervous about dying during surgery too and leaving my children motherless!!! The closer the surgery gets, the more nervous and scared I get!
  13. I am starting my third week of Optifast and doing okay- only cheated once by eating a strawberry. Imagine that- eating a strawberry is cheating!!! I am getting more and more nervous- just read a book that said that the mortality rate for bariatric surgery is 1 in 150! That sounds high to me. And, getting banded on Friday the 13th doesn't help my confidence much either! I am still trying to figure out how to get the ticker thing.
  14. I had to be on protein shakes for 4 weeks pre-op. I'm using Optifast and it actually tastes pretty good, but I'm craving something to crunch!!!
  15. ADD me to June 13- Elvisfan1219
