  1. Thank you! :)
  2. I made it through surgery....and happy with my weight loss. Now all I am dealing with is the pain which is getting better! 21 pounds gone!
  3. Thanks for all of the advice, I am feeling better. I called my surgeon and got another RX for pain. I was able to sleep through the night. I think that made a huge difference. I ate a tiny bit of cottage cheese, I know I need to eat a bit more. I am trying! :phanvan
  4. The banding went well, but I am in a horrible amount of pain. Which I was told is not normal for a band paitent. SO WHY ME??? It has been 2 days and I haven't ate anything yet. I have tried, but I am just not interested at all. I know that is bad bad bad. Any tips on pain management?? :help:
  5. I am in the end stretch of the pre-op. My surgery is Tuesday. I was NOT allowed to eat food of ANY kind. All I get is protien shakes, and a nasty powder Soup. It does get easier by everyday, trust me. I cried many times the first few days. Now on day 12, I don't feel hungry for crap. I have lost 18 lbs. as of yesterday. I was close to you, 315. I am now 297! You can do it, step away from the nacho's and think long term! A few moments of cheese will ruin your plan! I know it is hard, but it gets easier! :faint: :faint: :faint:
  6. Wow! It is sad when the people that should protect their children most hurt them! Here a young boy was taken away from his mom last year. She fed him fast food 5-7 times a day. She claimed that was all he would eat. He was 7 and over 100 lbs I believe. She was charged with child neglect, child endangerment and something else. She was given the chance to change and she absolutely refused. He was taken away from her. What you eat plays a big part is health, she didn't care.
  7. I don't blame you there! Maybe you can try it in the bath tub?? lol.... Sorry I had to be a smart A..
  8. congrats! you deserve it! enjoy the limelight! :Banane56:
  9. 3 days to go for surgery for me. I am getting very nervous and getting so SICK and TIRED of only protien shakes! It has been 11 days now. Grrrr.... lol...
  10. They have a support group but I live in Jackson, so going to group there doesn't make sense. I want to find one in Ann Arbor, or Lansing or something. I don't want to go here! :Banane56: I will probly stay with them for fills as well. It makes sense I like them!
  11. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :help: :help: :help: :help:
  12. I haven't had the surgery yet. But I can tell you I researched Hurley. I talked to past paitents, hospital staff. ect. I was very picky about where I wanted to get it done. I had investigated U of M, they had too many obstacles. I also looked into Cori Center, Borgess and a few more. I liked Hurley the best and I am very happy I did. No one there makes you feel like you have done anything wrong. I choose the band because I don't want the dumping or the damage the other causes. Hairloss, dumping, vitamin defeciencies really aren't my thing!
  13. That is my surgeon! I am so glad it went well for you! I get banded Tuesday....nerves are kicking up now!
  14. Awww I am sorry! But just keep working and it will come back off in real lbs not just water. I get that around the time Aunt FLo comes to visit. Makes me very angry!
  15. hey I am in Michigan too! How about donating them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army? It would be a good tax write off as well for the year!
  16. I have NEVER had a cute set, and I can not wait! I just hope the girls SHRINK! I have been a DDD since 13, so I am hoping I can be just a D. When I was nursing I was a GGG. NOW THAT IS PAIN! I can not wait to shop at Victoria's Secret!
  17. Down another 2 lbs. on ther pre-op. I am sure I will be under 300 when I get the surgery! WOO HOOO! My hubby told me I'd better stop loosing or they wouldn't let me have surgery. I thought that was very sweet for a DH. :faint:
  18. Hey straws so I am I! Just a bit over with the traffic now though.
  19. lol...I bet she was sorry you even knew she bought them!
  20. Anyone in a support group near Jackson/Lansing? I will not go to the gorup in Jackson @ my church. I don't want them to know. Thanks!
  21. Just keep going! Working at it is all that matters!
