  1. Yes, I was talking about a different point in time when I had the EGD; not the sleeve surgery.
  2. Well, in that case, I strongly suggest you avoid drinking anything acidic for about 1 week ... unless of course you want to know all of the locations from which they took the biopsies and don't mind a burn for a while afterwards.
  3. Fluids in, fluids out .. it will subside and if it's too bad, take some Immodium.
  4. What's your name on FB? I will "make friends" with you...however, the agreement with those on VSG and friends on FB is that we don't ever mention our surgeries -- I have too many family members on there and they have no idea I've had the surgery and I'd like to keep it that way if you know what I mean.
  5. Wow - so sorry you are having to go through this (and your husband too) ... I hope you are able to get back on them once you get home from the hospital.
  6. Thanks! I'll check it out and see if I can figure it out!
  7. I had one years ago and I was put under for it -- the only after effect I had was the next morning when I drank orange juice and I could feel every spot from which they took biopsies - since you won't be having that done, you probably won't have any problems at all.
  8. I had a horrible severe headache the day after surgery that lasted until Tuesday when I got home and was able to get in to see my chiropractor. I suffer from TMJ and he was able to realign my jaw. My neck was also out. Once he got me all realigned, the headache went away. Tylenol did absolutely nothing to help the headache pain btw.

Well, you might have to have shortened school days and the school year may have to be extended with not so many vacation days once you get up to feeling 100% on your energy level ... you're the boss, you get to call the shots!
  10. Glad to hear he's home and doing better and hope his pain level has decreased significantly as well.
  11. Between here and Facebook, I don't have time for anything else.
  12. It's probably from that chocolate that you ate:ohmy: Just kidding ... I haven't experienced any itching palms, so I am not of any help with this one ... I'd suggest trying another shower gel and see if it goes away ... I would think if it was your shower gel, however, other areas of your body would be itching as well. I'd take some benadryl or an antihistamine of some sort and see if that helps. Several years ago I went through a period where only my ankles and tops of my feet itched and I had to constantly use benadryl spray to keep from scratching them raw. It eventually went away and I chalked it up to stress.
  13. Hey - I'll give you a call tomorrow if that's okay with you!
  14. If they still have me in their database .... that was a WL excursion years ago...
  15. I'm excited - never been out of North America before -- have done the mexico thing 2 times ... how fun to have the entire family ... and a wedding to boot!
  16. We're going to the southern carribbean out of San Juan.
  17. Of course you can do IT ... believe it, acheive it!!!
  18. Well I'm 5'8-1/2" and most of the height is in my legs. I am very short waisted.

Me too... I'm worn out just from reading it all...
  20. The Amazing Race
  21. It wasn't that bad - chalky, but not bad - I had to drink several ounces and what they told me was that where I am having my pain and "stuck" feeling is that when I drink it spasms ... I could see it all on the fluroscope and yes, I will do it again in 3 months -- it wasn't that bad that I wouldn't do it again and I want to see if the spasms have gotten better. We're going on a cruise 9/6 through 9/13, other than that, we're pretty flexible so if the 19th works for you and the others, let us know.
  22. Glad you're feeling better Rosey!
  23. I was told 6 weeks before any strenuous workout - I'm starting on Tuesday ... woo hoo! Welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you.
  24. I want to know how to do those sparkly things!!!
  25. We have a Station Casino about 2 miles from the house Ruthi so come on over ... Rosebud - sorry you won't be here - drat is right ... and you are SO RIGHT ... we need to plan a time to get together - Saturday luncheon perhaps? There's like 5 of us right? You, Me, Bearded and the two you know? That would be so fun! Bearded and I will probably go back to Mexicali in October for our 3 month check-ups (mine will be 4 months, but since I had the upper GI when Bearded had his surgery, it will be another 3 months for me)
