  1. Peggy- I do not deserve any kudos for doing well. I lost it last night and ate very poorly. After the fact I felt so miserable, mental & physical. I did a lot of soul searching last night. Today I've been looking up things to help me adjust my behavior and looking at food differently. One thing that has jumped out at me while searching is "Mindful Eating" techniques.
  2. Thanks for the info Dana. I had a bad night last night, I cheated in a BIG way. But I'm back on track today. My surgery is scheduled for the 16th, so I have time to be much better. I will not go down the bad road again. I did a lot of soul searching last night and today a lot of research (Mindful Eating) for help. I'm feeling much more confident in my ability to do this.
  3. Peggy- Yikes(!) about the cold. I say take as much Vitiam C as you can handle. Plus good hand washing is key to not getting sick. Though with a 2 yr old it's hard to maintain cootie distance . I'm doing ok with the pre-op diet. I haven't been 100% perfect. But I'm back on track and plan to stay that way! I'm on a liquid only, no salads, veggies, etc. How are you doing? Time seems to be going very slowly to get to the 16th. What do they say- good things come to those that wait. ??
  4. We're staying at the cheaper All Star Music. All of my sisters are going so we have to work with several different budgets. Plus several of us need Family Suites. Unfortunately there wasn't free dining offered. I've been to Disney several times, every time I've been I've had a great time, service, room, etc.
  5. Hi Thin- I'm sorry I don't know anything about going straight to pureed. But I'm curious as to when you're going to Disney. We're going to Disneyworld 9/26-10/2. My 5 yr old is so excited as are we!
  6. Wishing you a speedy recovery and no gas pains!!
  7. I'm scheduled for the 16th. My self pay is $12,000 including all visits and fills for a year. I'm having it done in Chicago.
  8. BG- thanks for posting this, I was very curious. I've stopped taking my glucosamine/condroitan because my stomach doesn't like it without food. I have to figure out what to subsitute after the band. My pills are HUGE, so that isn't going to work.
  9. Congrats Knewme on the rewiring and all the miles you've logged! Can I ask, were you a walker before?
  10. Yay Ling & Sissy! I love your positive updates. Can't wait for the 16th!!
  11. Ling- I want to run too. Though I was just diagnoised with arthritis in my right knee. I don't know that I'll ever run comfortably.
  12. Congrats! What a great post! Thanks to you and our other banned bunnies for sharing your stories.
  13. I hope that I'm able to be healthy ever after or at least for a long, long, long time. I hope that my 5 year daughter never struggles with her weight as I hope to be a great role model. I hope that I feel sexy again. It's been awhile:blush:. I hope that confidence makes life with hubbie even better than it is. I hope that I get to shop in a regular store for clothes!! Adios Lane Byrant, I don't want to need you anymore!
  14. I fear loose skin. I worry that at 40 my skin won't bounce back like it did when I was younger. I don't want to wear long sleeves or pants forever. I have super large calves and thighs, the thought flapping skin while walking scares me. There is not a chance of having plastic surgery without winning boat loads of money.
  15. I think it would be easier if I could have veggies or salad. I'm only suppose to have Slimfast (or similar), water, tea, crystal light, sugar free jello & sugar free popsicles. I just want to eat something.
  16. My surgery date is April 16th. I'm so excited!!! Not digging this 2 week liquid diet.
  17. I hear ya & feel your pain! I'm struggling with my diet as well. I keep chugging my water and sf decafe tea. I'm not a sweet craver, but a crunchy salty fan. I give myself pep talks all day long, big picture... big picture...
