Rollerblades
I love the idea of using the stroller with the kids in conjunction with the roller blades. It may help with the occasional unsteadiness. In the past I have gotten slightly used roller blades at the thrift store for like $8 if you don't want to sink a bunch of money in. Good luck. I do daycare so I love this idea.

New Look and Jealousy
that is unfortunate that this has happened but a lot is to be said about human nature.... Congratulations on your weightloss! As a wise friend once said... there were problems in your relationship before I came along... that is why _____ has become so close to me... if the relationship was good it would never happen he or she is obviously looking for something they are not getting. So partly she needs to look in her own closet and find out why her husband may be looking! Or it could simply be her own insecurites. Never the less I say avoid all appearances of "evil" and double check yourself and your interactions with him, and draw a line if needed. Keep up the good work and as we grow and morphe if you will we need to gain new friends that meet our needs. Doesn't mean we forsake the old just means we are changing. I have friends that I have had for more than 30 yrs with at the same token I have many "best" friends that fulfill different facets of my life, they are all so different. It is cool. hang in there. Don't allow her to derail what you have worked so hard for!

Thank you Sadie. I am glad I decided to start counseling on my own prior to surgery. I am learning a lot about myself and "why" Hopefully I can use ALL the tools along with the lapband to make this a wining battle.... no matter where I go there I am and those damn demons follow me. ;o)

Tai Chi.
I don't believe there are any current posts. Anyone out there currently doing Tai Chi or considering it? My massage therapist at the Chiro office suggested that I take the class with her as she wants to begin. Maybe she thinks I could use a few subtle moves to defend myself from her "blows" as she does her deep tissue work LOL How can you love someone that pushes you to yell uncle? .... She is great and I pay her to torture me! She says she has a great job... she can torture, we beg for more we pay her and we never retaliate what more could she want. She is so funny. I love chatting with her she is from Vietnam...

Can I have unprotected sex?
Holy Guacamole! I know it happens but is it due to antibiotic use? or just a fluke? I went to the dr for a med followup this AM and I forgot to ask!!! Good news is I go back next Thurs and while she is looking in to do the pap I need to remember to ask. Note to self................

UGHH, the comments..
) I know what you mean... I have even played the game in my head thinking I don't need to do this.... well I know what will happen 3-4 months down the road if I don't. I have tried it my way for years! and I have 220 lb to show for it !!!!! I like the idea of having the consequence of vomiting if I over do it. I HATE TO VOMIT! for me I liken it to touching the electric fence!!! and now that I have cut back on my dinners etc I am hungry 2 hrs later , stomach rumbling hungry.... I am hanging tough right now knowing there is a solution coming, I have a few almonds and it will subside so I can go to sleep. hang in there, congrats on your date! I can't wait for mine... I may find out in a week! I hope so!

Can I have unprotected sex?
lets see if we can make it another page.... ;o) I was reading one of the leaflets that come with the pills I was taking ... once apon a time.... it said that the Pill was not as effective if you exceed 197 lbs. makes sense to me... well I am over 197 LOL so since I couldn't remember to take the pill daily.... another problem... I switched to an IUD. or IUC as they call them today. I have 2 kids youngest is 8 I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE !!! I will have to check into the antibiotic thing with the IUC and see if there is any contradiction in effectiveness. hummmmmmm I have a dr appt tomorrow, I have to remember to ask.

61 and Kaisier help
I have a dear friend that is 61 and Kaiser insurance. She is in need of losing a lot of weight . She has had hip replacement surgery, has apnea, asthma, gosh, just too many things. I told her I was going to have a lapband put in, she thinks that because I am 42 of course I get approved for mine but for herself she thinks they may deem her too old. Anyone here deal with Kaiser in their 60s? thanks

i have a question...
My husband has a CPap ... It is adjustable for the pressure for him specifically, so they figured out what his "sleep number" lol was for him... #11 so what ever machine you find it needs to be adjustable in pressure, find out what the number is you need to use, and if you cannot program it yourself bring it to someone who can help you. Good luck in your search, it has helped my husband a lot.

Can I have unprotected sex?
yes if you have been taking it faithfully, HOWEVER... If you have been taking an antibiotic due to surgery or an other infection of sorts... then the answer is no... use additional protection. I got pregnant once while on antibiotic dispite my Birth control pill. Good luck

Can I have unprotected sex?

Stop Calling it Socialized Medicine!
I agree KartMan, take the best from other programs and work out a program for our country and VETS! I also think that a step in the direction to remedy this issue in our country is better than no step at all. Yeah we will probably get a couple tweekings to make it work right. Obama will say if he feels he made a mistake and do his best to fix it. How many politicians have promised us health care reform... and what exactly have we gotten from these promises... I can tell you I am spending an extrodinary amount the last couple of years compared to any other time in my "covered" life. In 92 I went to the hospital in the middle of the night in extreme pain... I told them everything about it when where, etc.. they gave me an enema and chest x-ray and a finger up my A$$ to rule out sodomy! they didn't know what was wrong and sent me home.... 3 months later I had health insurance with the same company (job) as now.... and I made an appt told the dr.... immediately she said it sounds like gallstones... in office ultrasound , and 3 weeks later I had surgery! What is up with that!? The bill for the "No diagnosis" was $800, No medication was dispensed for pain or anything" AND I was on a cot in the hallway!!!!

So... got some work to do.

Dont like your pre-op diet? try Isopure!
Cuz it tastes good ;o) isn't that always the way. I would prefer to drink one nasty shake a day with as much Protein in a serving vs 2-3 nasty shakes a day to get in what I need that is why I decided to try the Isopure first. And I liked it. The expense vs how many you would have to drink to get the right grams I think balances out the cost really.
