  1. How is everyone doing today ?
  2. Dr Bonnor is so handsome ( yes I said it)...lol. I am so glad I had my surgery with him. my incisions are faded already and my surgery was on the 26th of May 2009.
  3. my first doctor's follow-up is also tomorrow and I don't plan to transition to soft food any time soon. my goal is to lose this weight, so I will push myself a little further on my own. I have lost 17 lbs since surgery (didn't do any pre-op diet) and I feel amazing. I feel weight loss kinda slows down once you transition to soft food and I love seeing my scale move every morning....lol
  4. I had surgery on the 26th of May and I have llost more weight than you have in one year. I'm down 13 lbs in less than one week . Lap band will not loss the weight for you, you have to put in the effort to loss the weight. there is no way on earth you are sticking to the rules and have lost only 3 -5 lbs in one yr. You know what you are doing wrong because you read post on this forum. I understand that people loss weight at different rate but c'mmon, a lot of people have reached their goal weight in that one yr period. Sit down and tell yourself the truth, only you can do that. You have the tool (lapband), the information (lapband talk.com), what is missing is your part of the deal. Put in the effort and you will loss weight.
  5. I have had a very speedy recovery. Doesn't even feel like I had surgury just on Tuesday. I drove to school yesterday to do my registeration and back. I rode to the hospital with my friend to pick up my car and I drove the car back. I even went shopping that yesterday too....lol. Lost 11 lbs so far and so loving my band. I'm not really hungry, I live practically on propel water and some popsicles here and there. I feel so light and might start exercising today.
  6. Wow Christy....glad your surgery went well. Mine did too and I'm back from the hospital. My story is even longer in that I slept till 5.20 am when I was supposed to be at the hospital by 6.00 am and with two little kids to get ready for school. Let's just say God changed my plans today and what matters most is that I still had my surgery. I had popsicle, chicken broth and some apple juice at the hospital before I was discharged. I am so grateful to God for today and to my friend that came to my rescue. without her, I don't think this surgery would have been a reality, at least not today.
  7. Hey SailorChristy.....thanks you for starting this thread. My doctor doesn't require pre-op diet, so I'm not doing any. I met with the nutritionist today for my post- op diet and boy did she scared the crap out of me. she gave me this tiny bitty 45 ml cup and that's what I will use to measure all the liquid (both clear and full) after surgery. I went to the hospital yesterday for all the blood and paper works. I am so excited and can't wait for tuesday to get here
  8. May 26th here, plz add me to the list
