  1. It took me three fills to get to 6cc in a 10cc and to get restriction...hang in there!
  2. Totally normal Bandster Hell...your band is sleeping on the job until you get enough fills to get real restriction...this is the worst time of all of it!
  3. Yeah its normal..I used to get that after a fill and in my case I wondered if it was just all the stress/anticipation of getting the fill!
  4. Are you and your doctor 100% sure this is just gas or normal healing? The term chest pain scares me that it can be your heart!
  5. If you can have tomato, you can have any of the cream non lumpy soups or strain or blend the lumps. I love the ones that come in little boxes like a milk carton. Butternut squash, red pepper, etc! You can add your protein powder to them easily.
  6. I eat all food but nothing diet or low cal or fake sugar of any kind! Thanks for this post it is dearly needed. I also dont really exercise but I have made small changes I can do for life...PS: I actually like my new smaller boobs!
  7. Well being hungry is no fun but it is definitely a sign of your health returning...hang in there!
  8. I am at green zone restriction and for me if I drink I really cant eat all the food I need to...you sound like you are on the right track...good luck!
  9. I might try them, thanks. I love the Premier Protein from Costco but you get sick of everything after a while! I am banded 2.5 years and I am tight in the morning and a vegetarian so I have one every morning but I need some variety!!! Good luck with the whole thing...its the best thing I ever did...it was a struggle at first but now its pretty easy!
  10. I can eat anything and I love to eat nuts for high protein and because they fill me up...popcorn and gum is just fun garbage but I still have them!
  11. This is not a diet it is a lifestyle for life...its not magic but you actually lost a LOT of weight...get yourself ready though it will be less each month until it levels off. Mine was about 5-6 pounds a month but it turned out all good! Its not a race but at this point youre winning anyway!
  12. You are feeling totally normal but it does suck...you should be feeling at least a tiny bit better every day...hang in there this is all going to be worth it! You will be a new person by about ten days! Try a hotpad on your tummy and take lots of drugs...
  13. So Bandstarr, is your ticker out of date or do you still need to lose 60 pounds? If you are in range of normal BMI with about 80 pounds lost, as young as you are are you sure you need it? On the other hand this is your young and beautiful years so you should look as good as you can and you certainly deserve it! You should definitely not worry about whatever happens with pregnancy etc...
  14. you can tone up underlying muscle but you cannot change the skin!
  15. whenver I was in the green zone I lost about 6 pounds a month...I have VERY long plateaus where it was hard for me to make the trip to get a fill but once I did, I started losing at the same rate again. PS I never did exercise.
  16. If you are eating tiny meals it really is ok to eat quite often if you are absolutely sure it is real hunger and not just wanting food. My stomach growls like a crazy bear but it took me a long time to realize that wasnt hunger. I eat about every two to three hours but very small meals. When I was in the green zone and losing I lost about 5 to 6 pounds a month. I think it is CRITICALLY important to eat when you are hungry...otherwise its just deprivation which leads to trouble!
  17. Seems like most docs give you about one fill a month but some are as little as a half a cc! I got three which brought me up to 6cc in my 10cc band and that was green zone for many months! Good luck...this is truly the worst part!
  18. I take everything either chewable or liquid now...very occasional advil but liquid.
  19. gummies of any kind could be a bad scene in terms of getting stuck...better to stay away!
  20. I paid a bit more and also think it is worth every penny!
  21. I also think its best to have the plastic surgery (if you can afford it) as the reward for getting to normal BMI. Normal BMI is inarguably the healthiest for all of us.
  22. If you cant change your behavior you will fail the band. Part of the work the band does for you and part of it you have to do...even gastric bypass patients can and do gain their weight back...if you eat ice cream all day...
  23. Try taking an antacid...if it goes away its reflux!
  24. There are actually very few people who fail the band for true medical reasons...but there are a lot who put all their effort into defeating it...only listen to positive people. The negatives are not helpful. I LOVE my band because it is why I wear a size 6 now and have figued it out to where it is actually pretty easy!
  25. The reason your insurance wont pay for it is that you are keeping food down and maintaining your weight...
