Pb is productive burp... If food has a hard time passing the band your body builds mucus around it and you wind up spitting back up.. gross yes. Yes it will get better. I was banded Jan 25th and the first 3 weeks were hell for me. I was so miserable and in pain. Walk walk walk to help with releasing the surgical gas from your system. Make sure you are getting enough liquids. I wound up dehydrated bc I just wasn't drinking enough Water. It's all so worth it. Remember why we got this in the first place. This is just a bump in the road.

So I went and explained everything that has been happening to my surgeon. He said its normal. That with some individuals the band alone is tight enough to cause restriction. And bc this is happening with me. He wasn't going to do a fill yet.. I was banded 1/25 weighing 267 and at todays appt I weighed 240. Feels great minus the pbing. Lol. Next appt is in April.

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the input. I have an appt tomorrow with the Dr and will keep everyone posted. I hope its nothing major.

I'm so worried. I am 6 weeks post op, my first fill is scheduled to be done in 4 days.. I notice that even without having a fill I am pbing and it scares me. It's not all the time. Just with certain things. Has this happened to anyone else?

How are you feeling? How's your recovery coming along?

It's been 2 weeks today. And I feel a heck of alot better... Just waiting for the discomfort to subside and ill be a happy camper.

I'm doing so much better now. Just some discomfort where the port is some back pain here and there from the gas. That's the main thing now is the gas pains.

I am 7 days post op and on day 3 the chest pains began. I called my surgeon. Told me it was normal and just gas being released. But day 7 its still here and Ive been taking gas x but nothing helps. I want to cry.....

Oh and I think the hunger has hit..

Today is exactly 1 week later and I think its more of the gas pains in my chest still and the back pains bc I'm always uncomfortable. I can't find a comfy position to sleep in. Thanks all for the words of encouragement. I can't wait to truly feel good so I can start this new journey.

Yea I'm walking around the house for a few each day. I guess bc my cousin looks at me like a weirdo bc she didn't feel these symptoms I'm like oh noooooooo. Whyyyyyy did I do this.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I do feel a little better the next day than the previous one. But i guess I'm feeling. Blah lol the when will this uncomfyness stage end.

Hi all. I was banded last week Wed the 25th. And my journey so far only has me feeling regret. I'm sore, the gas pains are unbearable. I can't find a comfortable position to sit or lay in. My cousin was banded 2 years ago and she felt none of the symtpons I am feeling.
