Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
BG-I hate when they pee in the bed. Uck. Good to know the interveiw went well. I'll keep my fingers crossed until we know for sure. It will be hard to type but worth it. I heart target too. I bought a suit there yesterday too. tankini thingy. Go Target! B-Meat is a pain in the ass. I have to take it slowly, but I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't eat it. Might I suggest make a meatloaf with lots of milk soaked bread as the binder. It makes it really moist and soft...I'll find a recipe if you're interested. It might have to wait for the unfil but it's my first meat after fills. The GF is talking about getting a position in Chicago soon. She's from there and her mother is aging. She wants to live part time with her and commute home to Columbus on the weekends with me. That would be so sweet. I like the idea of going to Chicago frequently myself. It's my favorite city! And it has me seeing her much more frequently. But it is just in the beginning stages... Dude, you move to Chicago, I'll see you in April. I think that's my next trip there. C- Glad to see you popping in here. HP and D, Howdy chicas. Good to see you D. You look amazing in your pic. ZZ, JC, and TX Hello!

I traveled last in August 6 months after being banded. That was the first time I didn't have to use an extender. Whew, what a relief. I know what you mean. My driver's lisence says 250. Never have I weighed less than the number on my lisence. Even my first lisence I said I was 150 when I was 170. I've always lied. No, I was well over 300 when I told them 250! I love the Band!

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
He is B, for Brandon. Deanna is D. Simple. You're offically T unless you want to release your real first name and we'll C you. As for goal setting that's a favorite thing of mine to do...then I like to create insane plans with objectives and time lines to get them accomplished. It's really a little OCD, but I'm on target with school and weight loss so I dare anyone to call me a freak. Okay call me a freak but I dare anyone to tell me I won't meet my goals, becuase I will. The best thing I can tell you is be realistic about what you can do. I started walking 15 minutes in October 06. It's taken a long time but I can run 40 minutes now. That happens when you slowing but consistently challenge yourself. But you've been an exerciser, so you know the drill. The band is fantastic because it doesn't allow you to stray too far from your goals. XO

Anyone ever afraid people will treat you different when you're not overweight?
JJ, great post. I'm inspired by you.

recommitted to intense exercise
LJM POKE poke! How are you feeling? Are you able to exercise? I ran yesterday, 3 miles in 39 minutes! Today I was at the gym at 6am to workout with friends. I did a cross fit cardio and circut, working hamstrings, triceps, abs and glutes. w00t w00t.

Chicago is my kind of town. I'm there every few months and in August BG and I are doing the Muddy Buddy in there.

Go puke, you've got a band, call it a PB. Not helpful I know. You'll be fine, they'll be happy to have you. Deep breaths, big smiles, confidence...you're golden girl.

Yippy! I'll be happy to try anything! I've never been able to take anyone's hand me downs since I was a little kid. I'm excited at the prospect, even if they don't work. Giggle. How are the jitters for the interview? You feeling good? Are you leaving from work or going home to clean up and change? Having a good hair day?

Is that an offer? On that note, what kind of 18s do you have that you aren't wearing anymore?

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Would that be a size 12 bathing suit? I'm running to Target on my break today to see if they have them. Kohls had suits but I didn't want any of them. Walmart (which I hate) didn't have them yet. Old Navy has their bikini's out. hehehe

Yeah, I think it is. She flies so often I don't keep track of when she's coming and going. But yeah, she flies out of Detroit often. There's an airport in Kalamazoo but it's like a hut on the end of a driveway. I really want her to get a job in Chicago. Sigh. I checked your weather, Detroit, Toledo etc. If the snow stops early enough, they should have the roads cleared for the drive. Tomorrow it's supposed to be above freezing as you drive south. I'm not telling Z you're coming until the morning when you know for sure. She'll be SOOOOOOO excited to see "Girl Michigan". That's how she defines you two. There's a frenemy boy at school who is from Michigan and boy michigans are bad. But girls are okay. She can't remember your names...

Well, you can't change the world, you can only change yourself or your perception. Make peace with the fact that some men only see women as sex object and some women see other women as competition. That's their problem and not yours. I challenge every person to find a simple one word descriptor to define yourself and that you want other people to think about you. Mine is "smart". I've heard "fair, just, spunky" amoung others adjectives. Then in simple conversation you call yourself that. "Like this is a tough situation, I'm a fair person and find equity for both people is my goal." Or "I'm a smart woman, but this has me scratching my head." Before you know it people will think of you and describe you as whatever you tell them you are. I'm no smarter than the next girl with a slightly above average IQ, but ask my peers and they'll tell you I'm brilliant. Oh, and one more thing pick a word that doesn't describe your physicallity. Our bodies change but we are intrinsically the same inside. I can weigh 300 pounds or 125, but I'll always have my intelligence.

I was wondering about you and the snow this morning. It was icy here and they closed many of the schools, but it's supposed to get to 40 later so it will all melt away. Alison is flying into Detroit this morning from Atlanta. Ick.

I'll bring a picture. I'll have to go through all of mine to see what I can find...I've got them on the computer but I've not printed them off. I suppose I can do that too. Duh. Two weeks ago I was flying out of town and the TSA dude at the airport did a double then a triple take at my driver's lisence. I had to say, "I've lost 100 pounds since then." And he grinned, told me I was looking good. That made my day!

I've worked out already this morning. Go Juli, Go Juli! And I'm going to do it again this afternoon.

You know that is true, they can't hear us so we swear like we don't work with children. However I have a grouchy fella, who is always grumbling under his breath, stuff like, "GD kids always wanting to eat gonna get big as a effin' house." then he fills their plates one more time. He's actually really sweet and very shy. (He's 6'2'', black and 240 pounds). Anyway, one kid who has some brass balls, who could read lips call the man out on it. I actually had to write up this grown person for swearing at the Deaf school! So be as un PC as you desire, BG. We are. I've been successful in the past, not swearing; so much so that at one point other people got embarrassed swearing in front of me. (!) So I think I can get there again. My dad is an immigrant, and his language has always been peppered with curse words. And he's pretty creative about it too. You just got to laugh.

I have a new goal to quit swearing. Wish me luck. I dropped the F bomb yesterday at work and was embarrassed. I thought I really need to clean up my language. Just thought I share.

I can't wait to see the pictures!!! You'll do fantastically in the interview! What time is it? I'll be sending you good JUJU vibes! (My old initials are JU, btw. We changed last names when Zoe was born and yeah, I had a horrible last name that started with U.) But enough about me.............. You are are going to knock them dead! Did you do your homework? What questions do you have for them? I'm so excited for you BG!!!
-
How many weeks before you had a fill?
I didn't get a fill until 6 months after I was banded. It was then that I started slowing down. I've had another one since.

Hi Kids Yeah Turler if you hang out here you'll get a taken down to a one or two letter name. We don't have a T. It does get racey in here at times, BG is always talking junk. We fight over the Ohio/Michigan thing. Yeah Truler is from Ohio so maybe I'll get some support from her. Oh, and sometimes we might even talk about cycling. There are two folks in Texas B and TX (Brandon and Stephanie) who have been cycling and making the rest of us jealous.
