  3. Hi y'all I am a stay at home mum and an budding entrepreneur! Currently living in hanmer springs, New Zealand (although i am really an Aussie Chick) which explains why I am generally on the site at alternate times to everyone else... Becky
  4. Hi ya all I just had to share these pictures with you....one of my NSV (Non Scale Victory) was going down a size or two or three...i wanted to show you these pictures of me in my clothes that are now far to big!!! I would love to see anyone elses pictures, so if you have any, please share! becky
  5. see if they have soups...always a good option at weddings. other than that you should be on mushies at least so try to find the mushiest dish available and wash it down with a bit of water...just for appearances sake...I do realise that you shouldn't be drinking water during mealtimes but on an occasion like this surely it wouldn't hurt. becky
  6. Welcome Cfalamillo Congrats on your Lapband...So how much weight have you lost so far! Lapband certainly gives us a new relationship with food doesn't it...I still love my food though despite . LBT is a great place for support, advice and information and just to get things off your chest so you have come to the right place...no need to do it alone as you say...please keep us posted. becky
  7. Welcome to LBT Leah...Congratulations on your surgery. You must feel such relief that things are going to finally turn themselves around for you. Hehehe! dont tell anyone but I sneaked a piece of cheese too in my liquid phase it was the first bit of solids I ate post surgery...but Gosh it was YUM I chewed and chewed and chewed and then washed it down with water! So I am glad to know i am not the only one. Keep us posted... becky
  8. Guys these are hilarious!!! I haven't laughed so much in Ages! Becky
  9. hmmm sounds yummy....definately going to try that one...thanks for passing it on. becky
  10. Gee...I think considering the cost of fills I would go for the replacement especially if the insurance were paying for it all...Keep us posted on what you decide. Best Wishes Becky
  11. funny thing that...chocolate doesn't do it for me now either...considering my whole life revolved around it pre lapband! I guess my tastebuds have changed! becky
  12. hi ya mhalp8005 Congratulations on your surgery and your weight loss so far...it is fantastic. your story sounds soooo familiar...I was and still am prone to 'push things' and make bad food choices...Even after getting filled and the whole lifestyle change process had started. The fill itself doesnt provide all the assistance we need...although it does make it a bit easier. However, there are still times we may feel hungry especially in the months leading up to when you find your 'sweet spot' concerning restriction...It takes determination and commitment to make the right choices for your body and the band...However, when I slip up...there is always tomorrow. Stay positive and do your best....You'll be fine. PM or Email me if you need some one to one support...my door is always open. becky
  13. Hey Ya gcoastaus I am from Australia, had my lapband in tassie but not currently living in Australia...I am temporarily in NZ for the present but plan to move back next year. Welcome to LBT. There is an australian support thread here for all us Aussie Loosers!! (lol) becky
  14. hi guys! ok so on the surface it looks like I have had a really good weightloss so far...however...the awful secret is although I have lost 84lb so far only 46lb have been post lapband...and I had lapband over a year ago now!!!! so I am loosing an average of .8lb a week....so I think I qualifye as a slow looser! hehehehe! We will get there...EVENTUALLY at least we are going down (or staying put) instead of going UP!!!! Well done guys. becky
  15. Hi terrilen glad to hear that the visit to the dr wen ok if it werent for the bad news that you were intaking too many calories...poor baby! myself I don't go to much for the calorie thing...this is not a diet to me its just a change in the way i am eating...but I feel for you...and hope the 'lump in your throat sorts itself out for you soon. becky
  16. As far as i know you can have any medication...my doctor hasn't told me otherwise...I take thyroxine regularly but it is a very small pill..for pain relief etc i have liquid panadeine...but other than that if I have to take a large pill I crush it...not that i have had to take large pills very often. becky
  17. Wow! DrewsLou You look so gorgeous! Well done and congrats on half way mark... Your on the downhill run now! becky
  18. I have hypothyroidism which is basically a life long condition which means my body does not burn energy just stores it...so no matter how much I might try without lapband and without the thyroxin I have to take each day..there is no way I would be able to loose weight on my own. becky
  19. I can eat chinese but I have to choose carefully...I cant eat alot of rice and I generally stick with chicken/fish dishes that are easier to break down...meat/steak and half cooked vegetable slithers don't tend to go down too well. becky
  20. I am planning on having a tummy tuck when I get to my goal...I cant wait...I might get rid of my flabby arms as well. becky
  21. Hey ya texas cutie... If you have good restriction and are loosing weight just with that I would wait...I didnt have my first fill till after 2 months post surgery...just speak with your dr and see what he says. becky
  22. Kelli darl, sorry to hear of your sour stomach...I agree with Woodys perhaps start another thread and direct it to DR. C he can probably help. I hope all sorts itself out quickly for you. keep us posted  becky
  23. I cant eat raw vegetables, salad and I definately cant eat steak...or a nice juicy piece of red meat...much to my dismay  becky
  24. hi there tomorro's dream You probably need to talk to your Dr about it...I have never had a slippage before but I have also had 4 fills and not noticing much restriction at all like you. I get hungry very quickly...I hope all is ok. Please keep us posted. Becky
