Dragon Fly
Welcome to LBT texasmom You sure have got an exciting journey ahead of you...I had my lapband over a year ago now and I told people upfront that I was having it... some couldn't understand but most did and I have had their support and encouragement all the way through still they, having not had it themselves it has been hard for them to adapt to my own change of eating habits etc but joining lapband talk has meant I can communicate with many others that know exactly what I am going through...So this site has been really instrumental/inspiring to my own lapband journey. I wish you all the best as you begin your new life. There will be plenty of challenges/fustrations ahead of you but i can assure you the benefits far outweigh the negatives...I have never regretted my lapband and i hope that, should you decide to go ahead, you will never regret yours. Keep us posted. Becky

New..Need a little help
Hi dani1397 What you are going through is completely normal...I felt like I was starving 3 weeks post op...but you need to know it is VERY important that you try to stick to the rules post op...if you don't it can lead to slippage and other complications...now is the time for you to heal...keep with the program..you may not notice a big difference yet you may not even notice until your 3 or 4th fill...I am on my 4th fill and I am still hungry...I haven't reached my 'sweet spot' yet...but while you wait for it to 'kick in' try to make the best choices you can relating to food, exercise etc etc...I am sure you have realised by now that lapband is not a 'easy' road but with commitment it is a very worth while road to take...best wishes and keep us posted...there is heaps of support to be found here and we are always here...Feel free to pm/email me at any time if you want advice or encouragement or just someone to vent too...My door is always open to ANYBODY! Becky

What has happened to Christianity?
hmmm interesting...my personal view it doesnt matter what denomination you are as long as you believe in jesus christ as your personal saviour and walk in his steps (as much as possible...we are all human) however, a line has to be drawn somewhere there are certain biblical standards that have to be followed there are many groups that call themselves 'christian' but their beliefs are warped and so far away from what the bible actually says...so yea...we need to agree to disagree. I would still 'love' and 'fellowship' with them as friends and/or acqauintences but as far as allowing them to speak into my life and my christian walk...I would have to put up the boundaries. :welldone2: Becky

I hate exercising .....take a look at this
Hehehe! I like the advice Faybie...and it works! as soon as I think i need to go for my walk...I change into my sneakers (walking shoes) even if I dont go immediately having the sneakers on is a reminder of what i am going to do...so it is easier just to put the kids in the pram and GO! :welldone2: Becky
