  1. I must admit that is one of the rules i have real trouble with! sometimes, depending on what I am eating, I cant get through a meal without drinking water as well. but I do tend to drink when eating as a habit...I have realised this is a habit it would be beneficial for me to break out of. As I do feel the affects so much more when I don't drink. becky

  6. Hi ya Maurdan I am afraid it depends on the person...diff people have diff reactions...for myself i was hungry but I drank like it was going out of fashion and it helped...the first couple of days after surgery i didn't really feel like eating. I hope all goes well. becky
  7. Welcome to LBT smilliegal I wasn't working at the time of my surgery...as i was off on maternity leave but i was pretty ok after the first week to chase after a toddler and nurture a baby and do all the housework that that entails...As to taking medication prior to surgery i cant help you there... as i wasn't on any at the time...but best wishes on your surgery...and i look forward to hearing of your progress. becky

  21. MPov I think it is great that you have found somoene who you can be inspired and encouraged by. Everytime you look at her you can think to yourself I will be that gorgeous soon! I am finding just being on this site with the support and encouragement we get here is exactly what the dr ordered on my weightloss journey...I have friends that have been overweight (but not obese) and who have lost weight through JC and WW but their transformation hapened a while ago and they have a limited understanding of WLS so although they are very encouraging and supportive, lapband talk is a great place for me to connect with others who know what I am going through because they are going through it too along with me and who have travelled the same path in terms of lapbanding...But we can all learn from each other and there is no RIGHT way interms of weightloss methods just what is personal to you... becky
  22. Welcome Lydia Best wishes on your own lapband journey i hope it all passes smoothly for you...keep us posted. becky

  25. Welcome to LBT vanna I was also really nervous before I had my band...the lifestyle/habit changes just seem so overwhelming at times. but my motto is take each day at a time...if I slip up one day I always have tomorro to make it right... I slip up quite a bit!!!! but the lapband is my tool not my enemy so over time I am learning how to 'use' it and make the right choices to encourage the weight loss. Best wishes on your surgery date...keep us posted. becky
