  3. Hey How long was the food stuck? Did you Pb? When does you stomach hurt (all the time or sometime or after you eat)?
  4. Hey I been banded for almost 2 months and I don't measure my food what I do do is count calories and try to only eat one serving of food (according to how much the back of the box say is one serving.). I don't ever fell full like before but I just stop when I'm satisfied. Like sometimes for lunch I eat a lean cuisine ravioli (6 pieces on stuff raviolis) which keeps my full from 12 until 4:30-5ish. I wait 30 mins before and after meals to drink so that helps too. I have a 10cc Johnson and Johnson and No Fluid in my band. I suppose to get a fill on Monday the 6th. I hope this helps. My support group told me to just walk away from the food after you think you had about 4 oz of Protein and 6 oz veggies so maybe you can try just walking away. Hope this help Alleycia
  5. COUNT ME IN!! I'm also doing the may challenge so this should be good also, so for June 1st my goal is -19lbs. current is 229 goal 210.
  6. Hey I too was banded by Dr. Natera in Juarez about 2 months ago and everything is going greeeaaaat. Irene his nutritionist is so helpful and we still keep in contact through email. Dr. Natera does not put Fluid in the band during surgery, and I am 2 months post op and still do not have any fluid in my band, and I am still losing. Started at 255 and now at 229. Finding after care in fl. was pretty difficult but I'm schedule for a fill in about 2 weeks. Don't worry just follow the rules and you will do greeeat.
  7. Hey guys and gals I have lose it app for my iphone and I love it. It helps me keep track of the things I'm eating and plus it tell me how many calories I can eat in order to lose the weight I need. So if you don't have the app. try and get it is soooo useful; however if you don't have a iphone or ipod touch you can do livestrong daily plate online which is just as good. later
  8. First did you Doctor give you a post op diet? If not my doctor put me on liquids for the 1st week meaning water and juice and chicken both. the next 2nd and 3rd week was mushies like creamy soup like corn chowder. I also blended anything I wanted to have like i'll have a chicken noodle soup blended. after the 3rd week I was on soilds. regular food. Hope this helps
  9. I also have painful fills and unfills and my doc said it is because Johnson and Johnson bands are harder to get into. I feel your pain :frown: Being Fat ain't easy
  10. COUNT ME IN :crying: current 236 want to lose 16 put me at 220! (wow 16 is a lot) almost 2 months banded!! haven't been losing much but I'm determined!!!!
  11. I am having pain in the lower part of the front of my stomach and it only hurts right after I eat. I not sure if it is gas or something else but I do know right after I eat I'm in pain. It only last about 3 hours so I'm not sure what it is. However, If i eat before my stomach starts howling like a wolf i tend not to get the pains.
  12. Same here I was banded on the same day as you and I have been losing lots of inches little of weight!! I Talk to my doctor and he told me that it's normal so just keep working out and try to pick the most healthy foods to eat. Your fill is when you will get some restriction says the doctor. I've only lost 10 pounds since surgery and 5 of those came off the first week so I feel your pain!!!
  13. I'm 3 and half weeks post op also and my weight lost has been slow and steady plus I feel like i have no restriction. My doctor told me to try and hold off for 2 more weeks until I can get my fill. I try to stay away from white flour carbs and i focus on my protein alot. I hope this help. we are in the same boat.
