HELP! Please give me your opinions

Hi everyone. I am new to this site. My name is Svetlana, I am 32 years old. I was banded on 08/26/09 and since then I am only down 30 lbs. I have a Realize band that holds 10cc. I currently have 5.5 cc and I barely feel any restriction. I have noticed that I can't eat all that I did before.....the problem is I NEVER FEEL FULL. I have been "watching" this site for a looong time and I have read sooo many posts where people talk about eating 3/4 cup of veggies and feeling like they ate too much etc. and I have NEVER felt anything like that. If you have ANY ideas as to what may be the reason for this PLEASE offer up any ideas or advice. Any and all info is appreciated.

Hey

I been banded for almost 2 months and I don't measure my food what I do do is count calories and try to only eat one serving of food (according to how much the back of the box say is one serving.). I don't ever fell full like before but I just stop when I'm satisfied. Like sometimes for lunch I eat a lean cuisine ravioli (6 pieces on stuff raviolis) which keeps my full from 12 until 4:30-5ish. I wait 30 mins before and after meals to drink so that helps too. I have a 10cc Johnson and Johnson and No Fluid in my band. I suppose to get a fill on Monday the 6th. I hope this helps. My support group told me to just walk away from the food after you think you had about 4 oz of Protein and 6 oz veggies so maybe you can try just walking away.

Hope this help

Thanks Alleycia! Hearing you say (or reading it lol) really helped me feel like I am not alone with not feeling full. I will try that walking away advice.

I didn't really start to feel full until I had my last (5th) fill. I don't know how much I have in my band. Truthfully, the amount in the band will differ per person on how much it takes to feel restriction. I think you are doing great. I would get another fill though. That should help. Also, don't go for full, instead go for satisfied. If you wait until you feel full, once you have good restriction, that may actually make you fee sick. It is not a good feeling. Good luck!

I was banded a couple of months after you and have only now with my 5th fill felt any restriction. I now have 6.0cc in a 10 cc band and am going in for another fill in a couple of days. What I do is weigh my food but most times I can't eat the whole 4 oz. I try to eat 3 oz of protein and 1 oz of veges. I don't feel "full" like I did before the band, I just feel like I can't eat anymore and that is when I stop. I will usually start to feel some pressure or will start to burp and that is when I know I have to stop. You are doing great!
