I need new jeans. (funny story)
Amanda That is a great story!! Made me chuckle too. Good luck finding some new jeans, I'm tall too so I always have a tough time finding long enough ones. I wear levi's alot just for that reason. Also JC Penney has a very good selection of talls. Good luck!!

6 days post op
fabfive I think a lot of people have a very hard time getting their Water and Protein in. You just have to try your best to get them in. I hate to say it but your fatigue is because of the lack of fluids and not enough protien. Have you tried Protein shakes? Why are you still on Clear Liquids? That seems like a long time. You are doing great on the weight loss, just do your best, it will come together!!

scars
stcyt I'm almost 3 months out from my revision and my scars are very minimal. I had the lap band done one year ago, so I have double the scars. But they are all just little silver lines. Some of them are no bigger than my pinky nail. I'm 50 years old and I will probably wear a 2 piece swimming suit again!!! Good luck, and happy losing!

Day 3
All I can say is that it does get better! My 2nd and 3rd day were the hardest, every day after that just got better and better!! Good luck to you, and happy losing!

wish you hadn't done it?
Stacey I would do it again in a second!! It is the best thing I have done for myself! The thing I like the most about my sleeve is that I can eat any and all foods!! I just eat much smaller servings.....wonderful, wonderful tool!!! Go for it!

Prescription Filled?
Ruth I was one of the lucky ones, I have never had any heartburn. So I can't give you any advice on that. Another suggestion, call your PCP and see if they have any samples to give you. That would save you some money, and maybe you won't even need them. Good luck on your upcoming surgery!!

Help
Anna So sorry that you are having trouble, it does get better it just might take a little longer than you wanted. Make sure to get liquids in...even if they make you sick. The drugs will kick in and you will get past htis. Hugs to you!!

Why? ? ?
Thanks Tiffykins I did not know that when I posted my reply a few weeks ago that I would be opening a can of worms, nor did I notice that no one had posted on this thread for a while. (my fault) I should have let sleeping dogs lay. I understand your choice in surgeons if you would have been self pay. If I would have had the extra I probably would have gone to him too. I don't have a problem with you endorsing him, I have too. I'm well aware that not everyone has had the great experiences that I have, but when saying that I also know there are a lot of trolls that come on here post something horrible about Dr. A and then dissapear. That I do not condone. I also do not like that some posts dissapear, when it is clearly a troll I have no problem with it. But a regular post should not be deleated. I also do not like the fact that when you put your curser over Dr Aceves name it gives you a link for Jeruselum Hospital. That should have been fixed, but is still doing it!! Anyway I'm sorry if you felt I was picking on you, or any of your posts. That was never my intent. I have a great respect for you and how you help so many people! I do feel you are fair and honest in your posts! So with all of that said, I wish this thread would go away!! Have a great weekend!!

Why? ? ?
OMG!!!!! I just happened to get an email showing some of the replies to this post. Now you have to realize I had SOME of these people blocked!! I just decided to unblock everyone on my list a few weeks ago. I do not want to get into another shouting match with someone I will need to block again!!! I have always posted MY experience ONLY... I have NEVER picked on anyone else, or who they had as a surgeon. I just chose to post the fact that the people that continually pick on me are from the same DR. I do NOT want any more fights about my Dr. I have EVERY right to post about the fact that I have had VERY good experiences with him. Why do I continually have to justify that?? That is one thing about these forums that I will NEVER understand! I have endorsed said "other" Dr. many times, I think he has a great reputation. I have actually told people to go to him, so why is it that I'm attacked every time I post about my good experience with my Dr. Thanks PNW for standing up for me but beware you will probably be the next to be picked on. It has gone on for a long time. I actually left for a long time because i could not understand why people were so hateful to each other. If it comes to that again, I will not be back. I have had enough, and truly do not need the stress!! Happy losing to all!!

10 days out
Hey Russell My first surgery was on March 16th 2009, unfortunatly it was the lap band. I had my revision on December 30th, I so love the sleeve!! I'm so glad to hear that you and your wife are doing so well, keep up the good work!!

Yet another question about passports....
Then don't get one!! I had complications and had to have my revision done NOW! My coordinator told me they would be okay with it, and they were. You are a US citizen they won't stop you from coming back into the states, and going into Mexico they don't care who comes in!! The worst that will happen is what happened to me, you will get a lecture! I asked him if he wanted to see my stitches...lol he declined!!! Don't over analyze it, you will be just fine!

10 days out
It is for real!!! Each week you will be amazed at how much you lose!! Keep up the good work!

Yet another question about passports....
On the way into Mexico we just barely slowed down, coming back they actually checked the passports. I did not have one, and still was allowed to come back. Of course after the officer gave me a lecture! Don't worry you will be fine!

Mexico or Bust!
PNW Great job on your weight loss!! You are doing fab!! Don't worry about your daughter, she will come around. My daughter is also 24 and made the comment that she would never have most of her stomach cut out. Then she saw me and was totally surprised!! (we live 2 1/2 hours apart) I don't know if she would ever consider it, I really wish she would. Keep up the good work!

Hello from Oklahoma
Terri Great news, I was not sure if the bandmom meant you were getting the band, or if you had children in a band. I'm so happy to hear you are getting the sleeve, it is such a wonderful tool. I made the mistake of getting the band first, worst mistake of my life. I wish you good luck on your surgery and happy losing!!
