  1. Welcome to lapband forum. YOu will love your lapband. Good luck.
  2. Hi Amanda, I am glad to hear that you have left part of this decision up to God. I found the lapband that way. I was reading a spiritual book about the signs of grace and in my reading I found that you need to reach out in the areas of your life you struggle with. If you struggle with your weight the lapband is for you. The food sensations go down tremendously after banding. You aren't as hungry and your portion control is in place. Don't worry too much about your meds. I space mine out a bit. Mine are about the size of an M&M so they go down fine. Good luck to you. Continue to pray about this and everything will be okay.
  3. Hi Laura, I'm a slow loser too. I would go back for a fill and go on liquids for a day or two. That should jumpstart your weight loss. Don't feel too bad my dear. I was banded in June and I've only lost 40 lbs. Its been a really slow process for me. Recently I put on 5 lbs. I can't figure out why. I need to start exercising big time. I'm pretty down on myself right now.
  4. Hi Sunny, are you banded?
  5. I have food dreams all the time. They are really strange.
  6. Mine was exactly at 6 weeks. You sound exactly like I did post op. Hang in there. Restriction will come.
  7. I have no trouble at all with ground meats or veggies. You'll just have to wait and see. Eat them slow.
  8. Welcome to lapbandtalk forum. Good luck with your surgery.

  11. I like GNC's protein drink. The chocolate is the best.
  12. That is normal. You will know when you PB. Its just like vomitting. Good luck.
  13. Things will get better. It may take you a couple weeks but you will feel better soon. Trust me.

  16. Lisa, congrats on making the decision to be banded. It will truly change your life. Good luck.
  17. Hitting your sweet spot it great. Don't be surprised when you lose a bit more that you will need another fill to sustain it. The fat around the stomach changes things. Good luck.
  18. Yogurt, cottage cheese, baked potatoes, creamy soups. That is what I lived on. Good luck.
  19. I've heard really good things about Dr. Ortiz. Sounds like you are getting a good head start with the Atkins plan. You will eat like that but be able to add more vegies when you are banded. Best of luck to you.
  20. Try and keep your calories under 1k per day. That seems to do the trick for me. My doctor recommends 800 calories to reach maximum goal. That is really eating like a bird though. Good luck.
  21. How many calories a day to you consume? What types of foods do you eat and how much?
  22. I really like GNC protein powder. I believe it has 25 grams of protein when taken with skim milk. It is good. I buy the huge bucket of it and it lasts a long time.
  23. Especially doing weight training you are probably gaining muscle for sure. Did you happen to take your measurements? Are you clothes loser? They say not to go by the scale which I know is hard. There are body builders that no kidding weight 175 lbs but are size 10. Its the truth. Good luck. Don't be depressed. The weight will come off, just be patient.
  24. I eat only when I'm hungry. Sometimes that is only 2x a day. I try and keep my calories under 1k a day.
  25. I hate the son of a bitch. I can never have the ticker work.
