  1. Recently, I get pain about forty-five minutes afterr eating. Anybody else get this?
  2. I am experiencing the exact same situation. I was banded 1/9/07 lost initially about thirty pounds, but basically as soon as I started back on solid foods I started regaining. I am now at 8cc's and still gaining. Help!
  3. :help: Dear Cindi: your post hit me right in the "gut." I was banded 1/8/09 in Hackensack NJ, and I could have written it myself - you expressed everything I have been feeling and questioning about to a tee. I just had my second fill for a total of 4 cc and i don't feel like it's really doing anything for me (I too have the big band) Let me know how you're doing.
  4. guys- thanx for all the info. I have since discovered that the onset of clusters (appx. two weeks after my surgery) was because I hadn't taken my medication (verapamil 240 mg 1x daily) for a few days post-op because I was scared of the size of the pill causing problems. However, now, I started with the pill again, I am tolerating it well, and the clusters appear to be under control. FYI, verapamil is a blood pressure med which is supposed to be effective for clusters as well. I was never sure if it was working but after this episode I am pretty well convinced. Good luck everybody!
  5. I too live at the Jersey shore and found nobody in the immediate area, however, I had mine done by Dr Garth Ballantyne at Hackensack Medical Center and I was very pleased. FYI there are other good doctors at Hackensack as well
  6. I am 50, and 4 weeks post-op and have lost 33 lbs. Keep it up!
  7. Hi! I am now 4.5 weeks post-op and starting on real food (not to be confused with mush). The problem is that I feel no restriction and I am eating alot. Is this normal? My doc wants to see me at 6 weeks post-op. Has anybody had a fill earlier than six weeks? Thanx for your help zevesther
  8. I too am a January bandster, 1/9/07 zevesther
  9. I suffer from cluster headaches (a type of migraines) and they seem to be more active since my surgery (1/9/07). Anybody have any info? Please help.
  10. I know exactly what you're talking about. i was just operated on last week 1/9/07. I was laying on the table pre-op and saying, "I gotta get out of here! What the heck do I need this for?" Well, I toughed it out, and I'm happy that I did. So far the recovery has'nt been too bad, and in ten days I lost 15 lbs. There is already a difference in my blood pressure and joints. Keep the faith!
  11. Hi, I'm new. I was banded last week by Dr Ballantyne in Hackensack New Jersey. It doesn't bother me too much, but my wife is very worried if we will ever share a normal meal again. What has been your experience? Additionally, I lost thirteen pounds the first seven days, is this normal?
