I've had 2 fills so far. I lost around 22 lbs the in first 6 weeks and you're right, it took a combined 2 months to lose another 10. I think you are doing fine. I hope to get better restriction with the next fill. and no, It doen't seem crazy to want to lose more than 5 lbs a month.

I lost 27 lbs before my 1st fill and only 5 lbs after. I never really had restriction yet and its been 10 weeks. I also go to see my Doc Wednesday for my 2nd fill and I cant wait

I went to the doc today and was finally given the ok to eat. There were so many foods that I saw ,wanted, or craved when I couldn't have them that now that I've been told to eat, I dont know what to eat first. Also, It's been 4 weeks and 22 lbs gone. for me, it was worth the wait.:smile2:

Every now and then, I feel a sensation on myupper right side beneath my ribs. I was banded nearly 4 weeks ago. Anyone else every feel this sort of thing?
-
hi donna, I dont have the answer to that question but I would also like to know what to do. I have been having the same problem so far. I was banded on the 4th and Im still tired, sleepy and feel of no energy. im not on vitamins yet and I keep telling myself that once on vitamins and at least eating some soft foods, that I will feel a lot better. good luck to us both!

How do I deal with the haters? I havent told anyone except spouse and children that I was getting banded. there is one person at work that knows because we were both doing this on a buddy system, except she had GBP surgery. she is doing well and have lost 75 lbs and the haters are really giving her hell. What do I do? go ahead and tell them or continue to lie about it. Im 12 days out of surgery right now, but they will soon start to see my weight loss as well.

you're right, I have thought about the start and the end weight. I didnt give much thought to what I may have to go through to get to that end weight. and what about my co-worker? I have one thats kinda close to me but I know how negative she feels about any weight loss surgery, so I dare not tell her. One other co-worker had the GBP and the first coworker is really hating on her and we know thats its only due to her losing some weight. therefore I must lie to her in order to have peace with her on the job. What do I do? she will soon start to see my weight loss too.

I didnt have much pain at all after ssurgery, but after going home the gas pains started. Like you, I was also nervous all the way leading up to my surgery. six days post op and everytime I think the gas is gone, it shows back up meaner than before.

I heard that walking helps to get rid of it, but it aint working. the gas just wont all come out---HELP!!!!. I've even tried gasx strips.

Hi, yep also banded on 8-4. No puree foods yet for me, all liquid with the exception of thinned grits or cream of wheat. it seems that we are about the in start weight and now weight. I think you're ahead one week before me on the fill date. i've walked some every day but not far. I still get tired out but trying to regain where I was before surgery.keep in touch!!

was it painful? when were you banded, and how much have you lost? glad you're feeling better. I haven't been banded yet, and that sounds scary

OMG! I had the band removed 3 weeks ago in order to have RNY when I'm healed. My insurance won't pay for the sleeve but I'm like your brother, I need to give this more thought. Get well soon and take it easy. Stay hydrated is what I've heard and take care.
