  1. Ipanema, good luck with surgery and congrats on not getting discouraged by what others say. You go, girl! And are you Brazilian, buy any chance?
  2. Oldie but saw it for the first time yesterday Primal Fear - 5 GREAT MOVIE!
  3. It took me 6 fills and a total of 10.4cc in my 14cc band to feel restriction, so hang in there :rolleyes2:
  4. It sounds like thrush, see your md and he'll likely prescribe nystatin swish and swallow...good luck...
  5. I had a lot of nausea and couldn't get almost any liquids is the first 4-5 days after surgery..hang in there, it'll soon go away. Best of luck!

I'm too much of a baby to have it waxed or plucked, so I use Nair. It works well for me, you should give it a try...
  7. I'm so sorry you're going through all this . Any loving husband would react completely different. I mean, these are real issues, you're not just whining. He'd probably benefit from a few kidney stones himself
  8. First and foremost, let your doctor know! I would recommend you get a fleet enema which you can find at wal-mart or any pharmacy, because you are most likely blocked up. Then to prevent it from happening again drink plenty of fluids, fiber, exercise and keep a record of how often you move your bowels. Even with the band we should be able to move our bowels regularly (in smaller amounts, of course). So if you're still constipated you may need a mild laxative or stool softener. Good luck, I know constipation SUCKS! I had it after my 2 c-sections. :tt2:
  9. Sooo true, I'm getting sick of it already...So I just say, I haven't weighed myself in a while...when you guys know how addictive the scale is to bandsters
  10. I'm on that same boat, but I haven't gotten restriction yet, even though I already have 9.5cc in a 14cc band. Either way, I'm not stressing 'cause at least I am losing. I'm sure once I'm restricted the #s will come off a little faster. Good luck to all and God bless!
  11. My doc said "all activities as tolerated". I was good after 5 days, but my hubby was very gentle, I guess everybody's different. Well, at least I'm glad I am
  12. I lost 9 lbs in 10 days, and I was happy!
  13. I haven't really reached any of my goals for the past months, so I'll go a little lower and say 8 lbs this month. I weigh 238.5 at the moment. thanks
  14. Hi, I haven't posted for a while, but my current weight is 239 31 lbs lost !!! Good luck, eveyone!
  15. 244.5 lbs this morning... this is going a lot slower than I thought :w00t: Can you put me down for a goal of 10 lbs for February? Thanx
  16. Yeah, I always do the running (10 min) and step (10 min), the other games are just for fun.
  17. I am not a big fan of exercising either... my suggestions to you will be what works for me: Curves and Wii Fit! Curves is just a half hour three days a week and on the other days I have fun on the wii (wii fit). I don't get bored and it's fun! I hope this helps, good luck!
  18. Wow, that's great! Do you know how much Fluid your doctor put in? Just wondering at what point most people start getting restriction... thanks!
  19. Ok, so I had my first fill on 1/23 as I posted above and he put in 3cc, not 2 as I wrote before, and I had absolutely no restriction from it. To the point where I was actually able to eat 2 hot dogs at a party on Sunday. Now, my doctor stresses the fact that weight loss with the isn't about dieting, but portion control and exercise. So please don't criticize me about eating :)Well it was clear my fill was not enough, so I called them back yesterday and got an appointment for today. He put in 4 more mls. So, right now I have 7cc in a 14cc band. My doc told me this should be "it" right now, or at least, very close to it. I'm on liquids today, mushies tomorrow and can go back to solids on Sat. I'm soooo excited I had to write. Can't wait to watch the scale going down!!!!!
  20. I was banded on 12/11/08 and the first 5 days (day 3 being the worst) were pretty bad and I had a lot of soreness and difficulty drinking the shakes and fluids in general. Everybody's different, but if you're worried about the type or intensity of your pain, please call your surgeon. Though LBT is full of great info, your surgeon will always be the best source for you. Good luck and congrats on being banded, you'll love it!
  21. I came accross Dr. Vuong's site on LBT and I was wondering if anone has bought his DVDs and if they're any good. Thanks!:cursing:
  22. KristyLynn, I just watched your blog on youtube and I have to say first an foremost, you look great! Now, about your boyfriend, ugh... I think you could find someone that wouldn't refer to your arms as chicken wings! I mean, someone a little more sensitive that you just be too proud of what you accomplished to pay attention to a minor detail. That's all it is: a minor detail. Look at how far you've come and how much healthier you are, the last thing you need is someone to make you feel insecure about the way you look. It could very well be that his own insecurities are taking over, and he could be doing things he KNOWS you don't like just to act out on those insecurities...either way, I don't think that anyone who truly loves somebody else would purposely do what he is doing...sorry if I was too frank, but this is what I think. Although, you didn't mention you had any children which would be a lot different. Either way, good luck and God bless you!
  23. I also had my first fill today. I was a nervous wreck but it was even less painful than the lovenox shot I got at the hospital :scared2: He put 2cc in my band today and I have another appointment in 2 weeks, but my doc said if I felt like I needed more in sooner to just give them a call. I won't be able to tell if I have any restriction until Sunday, when I go back on solids.... so, for now, I just wait
  24. I had surgery on 12/11 and the third day was the WORST for me. I remember regretting ever going in for the band:frown: Coming on LBT I would read people's posts on how the felt great even at 1 day post-op, and I thought there was something wrong with me... Well, there wasn't. Truth is, everybody's different and just remember to follow your doctor's orders and give your body the time to heal. Though my worst day were the first 4-5, I felt sore for about 2 weeks. And now, I feel as tough I didn't even have surgery:thumbup: Well I hope this helps and I wish you all the best of luck!
  25. I was banded on 12/11 and today (for the first time since surgery) I was able to eat 1 1/2 tuna salad sandwiches on ww bread... and I had to stop myself from finishing that second one I know I haven't had any fills yet and have no restriction, but it still got to me since I have been eating a lot less since my surgery. Well, just thought I'd share, and thank God I'm going in for my first fill on 12/23:thumbup:
