Why are my co-workers so obsessed with food?
See, I don't really think that's inconsiderate. I mean, heck, skinny people have to eat, too. I doubt it would have mattered what was brought in, people would have been enticed by the smell. Is the office staff not supposed to eat just because they have patients that can't? I understand getting irritated at people because they get to eat what you and I can't. And I really understand being shocked by the sheer amount that unbanded people can stuff their faces with. But I really don't think most people are intentionally being insensitive. They're just eating. I don't think they should have to eat unappetizing food or have it delivered by the back door, just to make us feel better.

Why do I do it to myself?
I'm sure the reason that no post can be found with your actual suggestion of an enema (otherwise known as a colonic) in it is because you made it through PM or email, not because you went back and deleted it when you first read this thread. Right, Nancy?

Why do I do it to myself?
No offense, Nancy, but this post by BAShinn indicates otherwise: She'd previously made a thread about being constipated and in pain after a severe PB session. And of course, as anyone familiar with her knows, she eventually wound up having to have her band removed.

being jerked around by Dr. Meji.. Athens, GA
Like Faith said, Wasa has a good point. Every single one of the OP's posts have been basically the same post. All of them. That doesn't endear her to people, as much as we may sympathize with her. When you want someone to answer your question, you make a thread about it. You don't make identical posts in every single thread that you come across. It's considered very bad netiquette.

Kool-Aid Question
Unfortunately, there isn't one near me. I'm basically stuck buying stuff at Kroger or ordering online. I haven't tried Stevia. I've really gotten used to drinking tea unsweetened, so adding sugar or other sweeteners really makes it too sweet for me, in most cases.

Why do I do it to myself?
Actually, she joined in 2006. And if I didn't have so much restriction, I'd make popcorn! That is, if I had it in my apartment. :heh:

Kool-Aid Question
I tried the 300 year celebration this morning. It's very good.

Thanks! I did that and it gave me pretty colors!

Who have you had enough of ??
I don't think this is very likely to happen. I mean, if it was, more bandsters would be told that they had to take antibiotics, and I've never heard that before. Plus, if you make sure that you are going with a reputable tattor parlor, it's not likely to happen. That's another reason why bargain-hunting is bad when it comes to tattoos. One of the recommendations that I've heard reputable tattoo artists say many times is that when you looking for a tattoo artist/parlor, you go and observe and ask questions. They should be willing to explain their methods of cleanliness and show you their equipment. If they aren't, there's a problem.

Going vegetarian? Or low meat?
Anyone else thinking of doing that? meat is getting pretty expensive (especially when you consider how much I waste), and I'm always paranoid about how well I cook it when I cook for just myself (for some reason, I'm not paranoid about it when I cook for other people) and wind up over cooking it, which isn't band-friendly. I'm trying to get to where I eat more vegetables and non-meat Protein like Beans and tofu. I'm not super-fond of the flavor of beans, but I don't have to worry about getting sick if I undercook them. And on the upside, I don't really have to worry about overeating with them, either, since they aren't exactly something I love, just something that I know I can eat. I still love meat, especially a very good steak, but I think I'm going to start limiting it to restaurants.

Hot tea is WONDERFUL!
Sure! :clap2: :biggrin1:

HELLO restriction!
It's when you get something stuck and your body produces a very thick, slimy liquid to try and lube things up so that the food will slip through.

Hot tea is WONDERFUL!
Sounds great! I'm going to see if I can order some Da Vinci cherry syrup. I bet that would be good in the Matrix.

Hot tea is WONDERFUL!
I just got my UPS shipment from Twining's today, with my six different types of tea. Love, love, LOVE the Prince of Wales blend. I'll have to try the others tomorrow, since I got some that I hadn't had before.

How hard is it to paint your interior???
You might have a point. They're probably going to make a hefty profit on the house whenever they sell it. Central Gardens is one of the more sought-after old neighborhoods because it's a protected historic district, so it's not likely that it will go down in value. Of course, it's surrounded by the 'hood on all sides, and my brother's car has been broken into twice in the last 3 weeks. This last time, it was parked in the back of the driveway of his in-laws house (that's where they've been living), penned in by other vehicles. Kind of creepy, when you consider that the person had to walk up the driveway to get to it, and was in the back yard, which is fenced on three sides. The in-laws' house is about a block from my brother's new house.

Irrational Fears (phobias and the like)
I have a fear of group work. Not public speaking. I might get a little nervous with that, but once I start I'm fine (as long as I am confident about what I'm speaking about). I think that's because public speaking (at least, lecturing and giving presentations) isn't really "spontaneous," KWIM? I've had time to figure out what I'm going to talk about, think about possible questions, etc. Group work, on the other hand, freaks me out. I've had to drop classes before because they were centered around group work and group interaction. I tried to take one class and nearly burst into tears during the first meeting, just because I got so stressed out by the expected group interaction. I dropped it that night.

Very nice.

Who have you had enough of ??
That's okay with me! I actually like the looks of lots of tattoos, as long as they are GOOD tattoos. It's definitely not something that I think should be bargain-hunted, if you know what I mean. I'm willing to pay a bundle for a great tattoo.
-
Who have you had enough of ??
I'm thinking of trying to get a group of bandsters to go together, kind of a group reward for people that've hit their goals. Plus, stuff like that is always more fun when you're in a group.

How many calories???
I had my last fill on Wednesday, and I think I may have hit my sweet spot. I'm having to eat slowly and I'm only eating very small amounts, so I don't see how I could eat more than 1,000 calories or so a day without either constantly eating or eating stuff that has a massive amount of calories. Heck, right now I'm not sure I'm able to get even 1,000.

How hard is it to paint your interior???
My brother and sister-in-law just bought their first house together. It's a house in Memphis' Central Gardens, which is one of the major historic neighborhoods. It was built in 1898, and it still has a lot of the charm of an antique house. I'm probably going to be drafted into helping paint it.

Aww, KITTY!

Drinking Water??
That's basically what I do, too. I usually forget to drink (unless I'm really thirsty) until right before I eat, so I'll usually down a glass or so of Water or tea right before eating.

Rice/Pasta on mushies?
Nope, not on the mushie stage. I've had both rice and pasta since being banded and could get it down fine, but it isn't a mushie.
