What is your favorite cliche expression that you wish you didn't use?
I would LOVE to. The Cape is absolutely amazing. I really wanted to see Boston while I was there, but I never got around to it. The weather was really what blew my mind. I had such a hard time getting used to Tennessee summers after spending a summer on Cape Cod. The newscasters kept talking about the miserable humidity, and I'd think, "What humidity? This is awesome weather. It's less than 80 degrees out side AND there's a nice breeze." I laughed about it with the refuge biologist, who was from South Carolina. I might have to spend summers on Cape Cod and winters in Florida. Hey, that's an idea. Maybe I can get grants to do summer research up there while I'm doing a PhD somewhere where it's warm in the winter.

I THINK it's a marshmallow fluff and peanut butter sandwich. Maybe? That's what I've always heard in TN, though, so it may be different up there.

I am a QUEEN!!!
Jaz, you are completely amazing. I wouldn't have had the guts to do it. Your cause is great and you look beautiful, so don't let people that have axes to grind get you down. That's their problem, not yours. Like someone else said, they are the type of people who would have something nasty to say about a 20 year-old who was a size 0.

NSV...Oh yeah!
Awesome! :clap2:

That definitely helps! I had gotten the part about cigarettes, but not the other stuff.

Bread!?
It depends on the person, honestly. Some people can eat bread, some people can't, some people prefer not to. A lot of people think of bread as wasted calories. I can eat very small amounts of it, if I chew long enough and take very small bites, but I generally just don't eat it. I used to be a bread addict before banding, and I've always found that if I have a little, I want a LOT. It's just easier for me to stay away from it, since I can't eat enough to satisfy the cravings I get for it if I start to indulge. Plus, other foods are more comfortable for me to eat since I got decent restriction (bread is very slow going). And really, I don't crave it anymore. Once you've not had it for a while and broken the addiction, you don't crave it very often.

Good luck! I'll definitely be rooting for you!

What is your favorite cliche expression that you wish you didn't use?
I've LOVED Massachusetts accents since I interned on Cape Cod (at Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge in Chatham - geeze, I wanna go back) in 2004. Made me a Red Sox fan, too!

What is your favorite cliche expression that you wish you didn't use?
Yep, that's why I can't listen to "Umbrella" by Rihanna. I have the same reaction to that as I do fingernails on a chalkboard. My brother's always after me because I talk with too much of a Southern accent, to him anyway. I have problems saying words with an -or ending. They end up coming out sounding like -er. Rapter instead of raptor. I'm very self-concious about it, since he nagged me. Photosynthesis is difficult for me, too. The "s" and "th" sounds stuck together are sometimes hard for me to say. I drawl my "I" sounds, too.

Sexual Assault Accusation, Please Help!
Actually, I think she probably did. It just wasn't done back when she got married. You got married and had kids, and that was just how it was done. We've actually bonded over our mutual dislike of children.

Onederland!
Sure! Yes, it does! Kinda makes me wish I had gone to Mexico, though, 'cause I would have been out about the same amount of money, had a more experienced surgeon, and gotten to onederland sooner!

Do you think it's rude to correct another's grammar?
Thanks. To me, the comment wasn't complaining about her grammar so much as complaining about the non-answer.

Do you think it's rude to correct another's grammar?
To be honest, I have no idea what's going on. I've never initiated contact with Lizrbit at all. Never PMed her, never stalked her, never harassed her. Never. She's publically accused me of stalking and harassing her, and I've never even talked to the woman off of the board, not even through PM. I've only ever replied to posts she's made to me (or at least, seem to be made to me). The first time I ever even conversed with her is because she appeared in a thread from out of the blue and made baiting comments that were clearly directed towards me. The reason the mods haven't done anything when she's complained to them is because I have never done anything to her. It's all in her mind, and they know that. Hell, the woman's publically made comments about me and WASa torturing small animals, and I don't know why. I could count the times I've talked to her in the entire year that I've been on the board on the fingers of one hand, I think. I honestly don't know where she's getting her little feud from, but she's the only one feuding. I wish she'd get over whatever it is, but I'm not about to avoid threads just because she happens to post in them. Her problems are her problems, not mine. Hell, the last few theads? Between her and me, I was the first to post in them. I have a lot more grounds to complain of her following me from thread to thread than she does.

Who have you had enough of ??
I don't like the format of that site quite as well, but it's definitely not as catty as Perez. I think I might visit there more often. Yep, you know someone's money has gone to their brain when they pay $2,500 for a glorified mutt.

Students are going to KILL me.
Nah, it's the third year that I've been teaching. I'm a grad student, so I'm teaching as part of my assistantship. It's actually improved tremendously since the first semester I taught. Boy, did I get flattened that semester. As much as I bitch about this class, they're actually (horrifyingly?) one of the better classes that I've had. I can, but I'm not set up to do it right now. We've got Blackboard, if you are familiar with that, but I'd have to go to the ITDS department and have them set up an account for me. It usually takes a couple of weeks. Aw, you're not interested in natural selection? I LOVE that section, both when taking classes and teaching. That and evolution are the best parts.

Cinnamon, too!

I don't understand (goal weight rant)
I don't get how anyone can think that you are ugly, Chickie. I think you are a very attractive woman. Personally, I think it's a bit of sour grapes on the behalf of the people that've said that, if you know what I mean.

Onederland!
Thanks, guys! This is definitely the best place!

To NEWBIES!!!
That was great. And very, very true.

Quaker Granola Bites
Oh, and they are nice and crunchy, too. I don't know about anyone else, but I have problems eating anything chewy. I stay away from most soft granola or breakfast bars because they make my teeth hurt. I've not had that problem with crunchy things, so these granola bites are pretty good from that standpoint, too.

Quaker Granola Bites
If Laura hasn't told you yet, these are GOOD. They are 90 calories per pack, and the serving size is perfect for a bandster. Good for quick snacks or for a fast breakfast, they are very, very yummy.

Who have you had enough of ??
Yep, she makes me grind my teeth. For Pete's sake, I don't CARE whether she's a rotten parent or not, if she shaves her cootchie or not, if she's a druggie or not. It was sorta funny at first, but now it's tired and old.
