  1. Oh, damn! Glad I wasn't having a sip of water right then. :biggrin1:
  2. I would really be honest with them. Tell them that between the time you interviewed and now, you've thought it over and discussed it with your husband, and you've decided that it isn't a good fit for your life at the current time.
  3. My eeeeyeeees! :faint:
  4. Especially when they are that expensive. I prefer to buy it individually or in samples if I've never tried something before.
  5. Here are many of the most common symptoms of PCOS. Remember, though, you can still have PCOS without having ALL the symptoms. Ovarian cysts Cramps Weight gain (primarily around the abdomen) Extreme difficulty losing weight Male-pattern hair-growth (on chest, abdomen, face, etc.) hair loss Acne Abnormal hormone levels Insulin resistance Fertility problems
  6. You aren't kidding.
  7. I like their vanilla lattes. And they aren't too bad, calorie-wise. At least, I can easily allow for them in my daily calories on some days. I don't get them every day, but I do go a couple times a week, most often when I have to make the hour-long early morning drive on Fridays in order to teach.
  8. Oy. Shoot me.
  9. I really encourage you to get a very slight unfill. The tightness in the morning doesn't concern me as much as the not being able to eat more than a few bites of solids. You really should be able to eat more than that.
  10. Awesome! I'd hoped she would be able to help.
  11. They didn't kick off the one that should have gone, IMO. But I guess her idea was good, just REALLY badly executed.
  12. Yep, many people find that if they take in too few calories, they stop losing. You should be able to eat more than a couple bites at a time. How far out from surgery are you? Have you had any fills?
  13. I'm just imagining hot coffee on the boobs. Not a fun thought. :speechles Sidetrack: Did you ever get in touch with tifferoni about your future doggy?
  14. Dysentery is a disease caused by amoebae. What word did you intend?

Vagina is pronounced with a jay-sound, not a gee-sound, so it became vajayjay instead of vageegee.

Did Oprah do it first or did Bailey on Gray's Anatomy do it first? I never watch Oprah, so I have no idea.
  18. Anyone else going to watch the season premiere? I'm almost embarassed to admit that I watch it, but it's addictive, I tell ya!
  19. Has anyone tried these? I saw them on the Bariatric Eating website, but I didn't want to pay $27.00 for a case of 12 when I'm not sure I'd even like them in the first place.
  20. Hope there isn't anyone here who regularly eats Starbucks' pastries. Has anyone else checked out the calorie content of them? OUt of all the varieties available at my local Starbucks, there are only three with fewer than 360 calories. The pastry with the fewest calories (chocolate fudge brownie) still had 280. That's a MAJOR portion of calories, leaving relatively few calories for the rest of the day, especially when you consider the portion size. And if you pair it with a drink, unless you get non-fat/sugar-free variety (other than plain coffee or cappucino), you're adding at least 100-150 calories, maybe as many as 700 (for the venti white chocolate frappucino creme with whipped topping). Believe me, if you want to remain in the dark about Starbucks' calories, you don't want to go to their site.
  21. Let me give you a scenario: If some racist prick made a joke about a gang of KKK members lynching a black man, is it somehow less offensive because it's a joke? THAT is my point. If something isn't acceptable in regular conversation, it isn't acceptable in jokes, either, IMO.
  22. We'll just have to agree to disagree, I think. The timing of it, to me, was everything. For example, I don't know if there would have been such an uproar over it if he had posted it at a time when the Iraq thread wasn't active. I mean, I would have still found it distasteful, but it wouldn't have been nearly as offended by it. But to me, the timing of it being posted says that while he may have genuinely found it amusing, he also found the perfect time to post it and get people revved up. When I see stuff like that posted, I'll usually ignore it completely, because I honestly don't think it's worth responding to and bringing more attention to it. The only exception to that is when I believe that a major motivation behind it being posted is to piss people off.
  23. Again, I think a lot of it depends on who the audience is, who the person telling the joke is, and how they've timed it. The joke in question was originally suspicious to me because of the fact that the person telling it had just been involved in the thread about Iraq, and he knew that there was at least one Muslim on the board that took her faith very seriously at the time he posted it. There's a time and a place for everything, I think, and that wasn't it.
  24. You know, I can see Jachut's point here. A large portion of society apparently thinks that comments that can be very racial, stereotyping, and bigoted seem to be acceptable when they're preceeded by "wow, you gotta hear this joke" or "this is sooo funny, listen," yet those are usually the same comments that warrant, at the very least, a raised eyebrow or a cold silence (or even assault) by many people when they are dropped into regular conversation.
