I just have to vent. I am sooo tired of liquids. I have been on liquids for 9 days and I know that some of you have been on for longer but I have to be on until next Tuesday. Friday will be ten days since I have been banded and I think I will try an egg or something on that day. I feel sick from only drinking liquids.

i was banded on the 25th also. i am just starting to feel normal again. I was in sooo much pain until yesterday evening when i went out and bought a stomach support. ever since i put that on i have started to feel so much better.

Hi I am doing much better today. The past three days I have been in excruciating pain! I was not expecting that. It was way worse then my c-section. I finally went out yesterday and bought a support band for my stomach and that has been a miracle for me. I have not had to bad of gas. This morning I am feeling it a little bit in my shoulder. The morning of surgery i weighed 245 and last night i weighed 250. Right now i weight 248.4.

I was just banded on 2/25/09 and i feel really swollen and i stepped on the scale and i have gained 5 pounds. is this normal?

i just got banded on 2/25 and i am in extreme pain too. i have had a csection and that did not compare to the shooting pain that i am feeling with this. i am on day three post op and i am still in terrible pain. i can barely walk, i cant bathe or dress myself either. i am right there with you. the nurses that i asked all said the same thing. Everyone is different. we got out muscles and nerve endings cut through and a port stitched in. they said its normal. but i get it. i am in tears i am in so much pain.

My surgeon said he will give me up to three weeks and I thought ya right. So I told my boss a week and my boss said if I am able to get three weeks then by all means take three weeks and make sure that I get the recovery that I need. I am not about to argue with that !!!

My surgeon says yes. It varies person to person. It does not stretch your lap band pouch as we used to think. If you want to get down to healthy weight though its not going to be by drinking soda or diet soda. Water and iced tea he said.

Hey my surgery date is 2/25 also... where are you from? My surgeon said pre op you can do that but post op unless in its natural form and can go up a straw you cant have it. so if you blend a strawberry that is no longer in its natural form. But pre op its fine.

Yeah Motrin and Ibuprofen are no nos.

Anyone getting banded on the 25th?

Hi I am an addict in general (drugs, alcohol, food, and definetely shop therapy). If I have it - I spend it. If I dont have it, I find a way to get it and then spend it. I am going to a financial class at church that they are having once a week and what I did last pay period was sit down and write out my budget and then i took out the money i needed for utilities in cash and paid the bills. i set aside money for gas and groceries (in cash) and put my card away. ( i am a swiper). Whatever was left over I could spend on whatever I wanted. It felt good and I didnt have that sick feeling in my gut when I didnt know how much money I had left.

I just went to a pre op mandatory class last night. It all seems so real to me now. I am nervous! I am nervous about not having coffee anymore, I am nervous about not having soda anymore, I am nervous about the surgery... but I am excited too. OK had to vent.:bananalama: Anyone else getting banded on February 25th

Yes I originally had an HMO and began the process last April but I got denied twice. My doctor never told me what I needed to do to get approval. Finally in August he said to me, if you had a PPO, you could just go... so I waited for open enrollment which came in November and I switched to PPO, called my surgeon and began the process. I too was done with all the pre op testing immediately! So now I am waiting until the 25th! I have been overweight my whole life too and I am dying to just wear a pair of shorts. I do have this fear that it may not work for me because nothing else has...jenny craig twice, weight watchers twice, atkins, etc..

Jill! I got goosebumps just now! Yes I am using Dr. Billy too! I will be at the mandatory pre op class on wednesday night, i have my last pre op appt with Dr. Billy on the 12th and then on the 25th I will be banded. How did it go for you? Tell me everything :tongue: P.S. I am SO happy to meet someone near me on here who has gone to Dr. Billy!!!
