  1. I think I'm eating too much too, but it is a far cry from what I used to eat. I'm eating small portions, I think and good food for me. Lots of Protein. My doc isn't as strict on how long you stay on different stages. I don't feel any restriction. They told me not to weight but it's so hard. I started out at 1 1/2 wks out losing about 8-9 lbs., but now 2 weeks out I have only lost 6 lbs - I dunno I'm frustrated. My port site has a 3 1/2" incision and my port is just barely under skin, like a knot there all the time. My pants bind it and it hurts. Don't know what to do about that. I kindof wish I had done the gastric, kindof impossible not to lose the weight. So confused. I feel like I don't even have a band and I'm doing everything right - at least I think I am. I'm only eating between 600 - 800 per day, low carbs and fat. NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I'm a twin - I was banded on 3/25 in Georgetown KY. My first appointment for post op and fill is 4 weeks. April 24th. I have very very little restriction if any. I panic daily that I'm eating too much. Can't wait for fill. Good luck fellow TWINS!!!
  4. Hello all, I was recently banded on 3/25/09, doing ok so far. My delima is where is my pouch? And how to I know I'm full. I don't want to eat too much because I dont wanna be sick.
  5. I have tried everything I think as far as Proteins and can't stand any of them. What to do. I have a full container of Roadside Lemonade, Natural Orange and the packets of the Crystal Sky. I have used 1/2 of a serving of each and can't stand no more. Would like to sell to someone who could use. Would take $60 for it. Any suggestions on tasteless proteins would be helpful
  6. Hello all, I am a avid watcher of lapbandtalk.com - I read it everyday. After months (I literally mean months) of fighting with BCBS of IL - your diet history wasn't detailed enough and yada yada yada. I got approved today!!! I can hardly believe it! I have been working toward this for about 5 years - different insurances with my jobs and finally a company that would pay for it. I must have been really worked up about it more than I realized because when she said it was approved I started crying. "Tears of Joy" of course. Just had to let it out - now getting through the next phase of being scared - am I making the right decision. Thanks for listening. Susan
