Yep ! Sure Does... The band works for most people by fill after fill process. In time,, when you eat, you will feel full with what you have. Also you will find that the less you eat, the less you will want. That is so true.. It's the same as eating more, then wanting more. This takes time though, and you have to be filled enough. When you are filled enough, then lose weight, you will find yourself getting hungrier, and hungrier. Time for a fill again. Shirley.

Have you ever been checked out on Fluoroscope? It's not painful at all.... It's like a x-ray machine for your organs. They use it to see how your band is doing. Mine was deflated, But was thought to have blown, it was not ! Amen ! ! ! They found that out with the machine. It showed the band to be in good shape, and rite on the table, under the scope, she filled me to my fill line. That was it.... No more Hunger Beast driving me up the wall ! Instead,, About every 5 or 6 hrs. I got this little urge that I had to figure out, that it meant I was Hungry.... No Regrets on having it done this way at all. Maybe you can talk to your Dr., and see if they can check you out with the Fluoroscope. Once they see what's going on,,, they know what to do for you... Now Love is a two way street ! So you have to do your part in this too. If and when you do? You will find a wonderful relationship between you and your band. Good Health to you, Shirley.

I went out to by some lace up shoes "TENNIS" well I still call them that. Anyway I went from a 8 1/2W to a 7 1/2M...... That to me was a big difference. There were times that my feet wouldn't fit in that larger size, do to Water retention. So now I have a proper fit in shoes, next will be the cloths ***** YES ! o yes ! I do think your feet will shrink with WL.. :welldoneclap: :party:

Get a Pill splitter/crusher for your pain meds, or if you take meds, ask your Doc can you get them in liquid form. Mine did that for me. Jell -o, Sugar Free Pudding, Light Yogurt, Soups (NOTHING HEAVY ! LOOK FOR SOUPS IN A BOX, I FOUND IT IN THE ORGANIC AREA BUT EVERY PLACE IS DIFFERENT. IF YOU FIND A "RED PEPPER SOUP", YOU FOUND THE RITE SOUPS. ALSO THAT IS FANTASTIC ! ! ! I bought the Mushroom, and Red Pepper Soup., Protein Drinks, Pop cycles, and what ever is in liquid form, that you like.

I know the feeling... Never have to worry at all, and always done write.

Thanks for commenting on this subject,. I see the majority of the fills are done Traditionally. But some offer it as, up to you. So at least it's available if you want it. (I THINK THAT'S A GOOD IDEA,) Because were all different.

My comment on that old Post, after I got the call was: When the Lord closes a door, somewhere he opens a window. That is so true !

I'm going in Monday for a fill. I will remember to remind who ever is doing the fill, that it is a 4cc band. So just a slight fill will do. Thanks, Shirley.

If you need Fluro. ,it's available for you. Other then that it's a needle in the port, and you get your fill. Always Water available...... I like the thought that if you ever have something really feeling wrong with you, that he will do a barium swallow, and fluoroscope to see what's going on. My other surgeon went on GUT instinct,,,,, and he was WRONG ! So now that I know something like this is available to me, It's comforting.

Who gives a shot so you don't feel the stick? That's kind of DUMB ! I know mine just sticks into the belly fat, no pain involved in that.

That's GREAT! to hear... I go in Monday for a Tweaking, but we will see if necessary, They would like to see more weight loss ( SO WOULD I,,) After being what I have been through,,, I don't want to be to tight. I want to see how many of you are being Filled under Fluoroscopy, and your 2 cents please. vs. How many are still doing it the Standard way, and your 2 cents please,

The same thing pertains to anyone ! If you are not Happy, are doing what your suppose to do, losing weight, dropping cloth sizes, keeping appointments, You can contact the Hospital where you had your surgery, and get your records, including POST OPERATIVE NOTES. (That's a MUST !) Make copy's of everything ! Because once you turn it in, there is no getting it back. These are for your records or a different Dr. , just in case they read it, and say were not interested. Then you can inquire somewhere else. They all love a success story because it's great for their image. I did this, and that's the way it was put to me by the Head Nurse If they don't have a Fluoroscope,,, It's like going to a Heart Dr., that doesn't have a EKG machine, and says I will just listen to your Heart, and I can tell. That's BULL ! You need to be looked at some times internally, and this will do it. Makes it easier on you, and same for the Dr., or Tech..

Yep ! I was on it too. It's good stuff I think. Because I had my knees replaced after I lost weight, and my Orthopedic Surgeon gave me Lovenox for each separate knee surgery. No problems at all..

I agree with the weight loss, your in the ballpark. Are you keeping a journal to see your calories, protein, and exercise? If not,,, go to myfitnesspal.com, and join up. It's Free ! A lot of people from this site are there. It calculates everything that you need. Plus chat ! So give it a shot, and see if you like it. I am Losingintime on that site.

Well this won't help much, but if your willing to travel Henry Ford Bariatric Center in Detroit, Michigan takes your Ins..... They are a very good Hospital in Detroit. Canadians come over by the Bus full, to see our Surgeons. Mine was Dr. Jeffrey Genaw Bariatric/General Surgeon. He is a very good Surgeon. I know that's a ride, but you will not be alone Trust Me. Look them up on the Internet, and see what you think. It is a Center of Excellence, and he is in charge.. If you have no hope at all ! Here is a Rey of hope, at a Excellent place. Anything soft, that's not high in calories. Soups, Cold Plate is Great this time of year Tuna Salad, Egg Salad, Cottage Cheese, Cheeses, Hard Boiled Egg That's the cold plate ! Chili, Stew, Anything on the Menu that comes up soft, S.F Desert.... Also pick anything from the above. Be careful with the stew, Potatoes can get stuck. So chew, chew, and chew. Don't lose focus of your chewing, you don't want to get caught up in conversation, and slip something goes down, and your stuck. So Focus.

My Boxer did that to me while I was sleeping. Foot right on the port. I felt the whole thing move inside, I thought for sure that my band slipped down. It's fine... It took a while, scared me something terrible. Hurt a lot. So now she does not come up on my bed at all ! I put up a gate to keep her out.
